Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - Red Curry (C1) with beef level 1 spice and a Musaman Curry (C4) with pork level 3 spice. First time getting a musaman curry and with it's description of cadamon and cinnamon, we thought it would be a savory curry with some earthy-tones. Instead, it was an oddly sweet curry, even sweeter than a panang curry! The red curry with beef was good though as it's bright and creamy from the coconut milk and the basil leaf gave it a peppery mint taste. Service: 5/5 - friendly but slight language difficulty. We came in at 7:30 PM (30 minutes before closing) and there were still 4 tables there with multiple pick-up orders and the servers did have to turn away 2 parties who didn't want to take food to go. Ambiance: n/a/ - ordered food to go. There were some retro diner vibes underneath the Asian facade. There's a one way speaker blasting music in the corner so depending where you sit, it could be quite noisy. Value for price: 4/5 - decent food at a reasonable cost. Hands down, this is the best Thai food I've had anywhere in the US - and I've eaten a lot of Thai in a lot of cities! We don't get to Lawton often but we seek this place out first when we do. This is our first time in their new location which seems to be a better spot for them - more space and it's a much newer building. Decor is still essentially the same at their new space - various Asian art throughout the space, however, new location is a little less intimate with a lot more tables, hard surfaces (cement floor), and noisier due to higher ceilings. Food: Still the fattest and freshest summer rolls with the most kicking peanut sauce ever! Tom Kha Jay is still the best here with the added veggies like broccoli and those amazing little mushrooms in the best coconut broth I've ever had. Tom Yum is also excellent here- tangy and spicy. We both got green curry- because they have the best green curry sauce in the world- my date had it with chicken which was good quality, and appeared to be primarily breast meat. My curry was with tofu which was firm and lightly browned and chewy on the edges, super yummy! Service is still wonderful- and a lot more folks are working in this bigger spot than the old one! We enjoyed the service and prices are still very good with such big portions. Each entree could be 3 meals! Cannot recommend more highly! This place is an average Thai restaurant but not bad taste for Oklahoma standards. I got the fried tofu and it wasn't what was pictured but it still tasted good. Wish it had some seasoning but the sauce made up for it. I give the tofu a good 3.6/5. The veggie pad Thai was actually good. Lots of delicious veggies and the flavor was packed to the brim! I got medium spice and it was perfect. Solid 4.9/5. The sticky mango rice, okay hands down one of the best. The mango was soft and the rice was a perfect sweetness. Def worth it. 5/5. Came for dinner. Place was empty when wr hot there except for another gentleman. We ordered the ff: The Crab Rangoon - crispy, and good amount of cheese and imitation crab. Served with sweet tangy sauce. I loved it! Fresh spring rolls - good size with good amount of shrimps. Tasty peanut sauce Pad See Ew with beef and tofu - good portion, good noodles but there was something off about it. There was a bitter taste to it like a bit burnt sugar. But not sure. Other than that it would have been good. Thai Basil Ground chicken with rice and egg - very good balance of sweet and salty with meat and veggies. Was in Lawton Oklahoma for the first time ever, and asked my friend to take me somewhere local. We both love Thai food, so she took me her favorite spot. The place was gourgeous!. Beautiful artwork, nice bug open space, and our server Nancy is the sweetest young lady! She recommended the chicken curry yellow heat level 2, which was perfect for me. I wanted level 3 but convinced me to do level 2, and I was so happy. It was just the right kick. The chicken was tender; the curry sauce was rich and thick. I also ordered crab raguns that were freshly fried, very crisp on the outside, but creamy inside. Again, great flavor. It came with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce that was more sweet but good because it helped cool my mouth from the curry. I see why this is my friend's favorite Thai restaurant. Hopefully I will get to come back next year and visit. If you live in the area, definitely give this place a try! read more

I got the wonton soup and it was amazing and not so pricey then a couple days later i wanted to try a different soup and it was a coconut curry soup that was so amazing. Ever since trying the soups there i haven't stopped going. Can't remember what it's called but it's N6 on the menu level 1 spicy. 10/10. Also the sticky rice and mango slices are also very very good. My new favorite place to eat in lawton! If y'all never tried Thai food before i would check out Thai bistro! The waitresses are very nice as well. It didn't take a long time for me to get my food. Food is fresh and flavorful!. The shrimp fried rice (spicy level 4) is extremely good. Now if you don't like spice turn the heat down a little, but it's absolutely amazing. Shrimp pad Thai is also packed with flavor with fresh veggies, which elevate the dish. So far nothing I have ordered has disappointed me yet. The portions will definitely give you enough to eat now and later. Service is fast and friendly staff. It seems like most people get food to go, so it's definitely a nice quite place for date night. Came here on a whim for dinner. It's unassuming from the outside. Walking in, the food smelled amazing. The establishment cleanliness was on point same with the bathrooms. When first entering there were 2 booths occupied and it was quiet. Staff was attentive and polite. By the time we left business started picking up with the dinner rush. We ordered an appetizer (a bowl of Tom Kah w/ chicken split between 2 people), Thai basil chicken (extra rice and extra fried egg), and chicken khao soy, 2 sweet Thai iced teas, and mango sticky rice. With tip it was about $81. The Tom Kah soup was great! Perfectly balanced, sweet & creamy from the coconut milk, hint of sour from the lemon and we added extra chilis for spice. We originally ordered it at a level 2 spicy. The Thai basil chicken was on point as well. Level 2 spicy but added fresh chili & chili oil on top while eating. It definitely hit the spot for a meat and rice mood I was in. The chicken khao soy smelled amazing and it was wonderfully balanced. Very thick soup if you haven't had it before. Love the yellow curry flavor that hits you first and then slowly warms you up too. Spicy level was a 3 and added chili oil on top. The dessert hit the spot. At first I was unsure because it's not quite mango season but man that mango was AMAZING! Super sweet and the rice with the toasted sesame was chewy. I'm conflicted on how many stars to leave, my whole family really enjoyed it, but I did not. I found everything to be "heavily" sugared. I *love* Thai food. I grew up in Houston and have had authentic Thai many times. To me Thai equates to fresh veggies, light flavors, coconut and curry, some broths. I will say there was a good amount of veggies in everything, so I enjoyed that. But it was all just so sweet. The fresh rolls I also loved, they were huge and had a good ratio of lettuce to everything else. The shrimp and pork dumplings, basically shiu mai, I found incredibly fishy. I was shocked that my kids enjoyed them so much. They probably put so much peanut sauce on them they didn't notice. The drunken noodles were in a heavy sweet sauce and not enough basil. Usually drunken noodles are my favorite, simply fried with veggies and usually very spicy. This was also riddled with eggs, which I have never seen done. The masuman curry is another of my favorites - I thought this was the best and most authentic item, but again too sweet. I saw that people complained about this being basically a soup, which is how it's supposed to be served. We all loved it. The kitchen sink soup was *extremely* bland. Not what I expect from a Thai soup. But lots of great veggies. The chicken skewers were really well seasoned but very dry. There's a great shaded patio that nobody seems to be using, seems a shame. I am very picky about Thai places because I have had real Thai food and let me just say that this is about as good as it gets! I ordered the cashew chicken and it was one of the most flavorful dishes I have had in a long time! I have not had a Thai dish this flavorful and delicious since I was in Korea at this place called Sawatdee. Not only was the chicken cooked wonderfully and was not dry but the sauce...OMG!! The sauce was AMAZEBALLS!!!! Packed full of spices and flavor that just added so much deliciousness to the veggies and rice. The scoop of rice they gave with it was drenched in sauce--just the way I like it! I also only waited about 10 minutes for my meal and the service was just excellent! I wish I had a bigger stomach though because the portions for dinner are pretty big--at least mine was. Don't expect a fine-dining type of decor our atmosphere though. If you do you will be disappointed but the taste and quickness of the staff should be able to convert anyone of not liking this place. I will be back here in the future and hopefully it will be after I move into my new place so I can take left-overs back home with me. The service was completely lacking, no smiles from our waitress - the appetizer was brought out well into the main course. Water refills never happened, nor did the waitress check up on our party. When we went up to pay, we noticed the waitress sitting in a booth, folding napkins and arranging silverware, instead of attending to customers. What a weird location, however, don't let it fool you. I was given recommendations for 3 people and finally decided to go. We went to dine in right after they opened restaurants for dine in. We were the only table eating in but we got great service, they were annoyingly paying attention to us. I got the spicy fried basil rice and my husband got the kao soy. The portions are HUGE! I have at least another meal or two for myself. The food was delicious. My favorite was that the spicy was perfect. You always get a 1-4 or 1-5 star choice for Thai food and sometimes you get a 2 and it's too spicy. Both our 2 stars were perfect. The food was fast and we got extra noodles for my husbands curry sauce! We also ordered the shrimp and chicken dumplings for an appetizer. The food is above average by quite some margin but it is hard for me to say it reaches great territory. The service was quite expedient and pleasant. Unfortunately the décor and ambiance and smell are not as pleasant. While I give kudos for the intimacy and quietness of the restaurant itself, there is a stagnant and musty odor that is quite pungent and pervasive; lingering not so subtly throughout the duration of one's experience. Despite having come in for a to go order, it was strong enough a musk that it made me thankful I wasn't going to stay for more than a few minutes. I had the pad thai with shrimp and tulip dumplings. I recommend both; and, while indeed good, I do not consider either to have been compelling enough to induce a follow-up visit. Though food choice were very limited like not having Lao/ Thai sausage which is usually a Thai restaurant areas MUST through my experiences but did not. The food was amazingly cooked, freshly made, well put and showcase once you receive you dishes, and the quantity is very reasonable. If your not going home with a doggy bag then you order something wrong that day. The spices and sweets were just how I enjoy them. A lil pricey, but what authentic food establishment isn't?? I have eaten at many Thai restaurants & this place is definitely on my top 5. -The appetizer we ordered was very crispy and the flavor was great. -The main dishes we ordered were 1.Beef Pad Thai level 1 & 2.Panang Curry level 2. Both very delicious and had great flavor. -I also ordered the Tom Kha soup which I have always loved the broth but the only issue I had with it was the Mushrooms were different than what I am used to. The rumors are true about this restaurant. It's great food I had spicy basil fried rice with shrimp. Forget the shrimp. They were great but the dish could have stood on its on with no meat! Thin flat egg noodles. Didn't look at all like noodles eggs broccoli carrots in a brown sauce. My grandson looked at it and said I don't want dirty food. He's three. It was in a brown sauce. So I asked if I could order a bowl of steamed broccoli. He loves broccoli. And he loved it. They were so helpful. I said what I was thinking about and the waitress helped me pick. I'd never been there before My daughter ordered sweet and sour. A thin reddish sauce covered the plate White steamed chicken with bell peppers, pineapples, pods, carrots, onions and a scoop of sticky jasmine rice on the side. She ate it and enjoyed it. If you blink, you'll miss it, but if you find it, it is definitely a hidden gem in Lawton. Very authentic Thai food. I had the Thai Yum soup with Shrimp as an appetizer and it was . I should have foregone the appetizer because when my Panang Curry came (shrimp and chicken), I couldn't finish it. Extremely generous portions with an absolutely authentic flavor. The downside was the attentiveness of the wait staff. Though friendly, they forgot twice to bring a to-go container and they never once checked to see if I needed a refill on my Diet Coke. One of the few Thai food eateries in town. Disclosure: I am originally from California so none of the dishes here really stood out to me (at least of the dishes I ordered). However, I must say that they do have authenticity in their dishes. It may be that their have limited access to spices and certain ingredients necessary to bring out more of the authenticity that I know of, but there was definitely something different about the dishes here vs back at home for me. Food Quality: The dishes I ordered included a Green Curry with pork, Beef Thai Basil, and Pad Thai with chicken. I consider these to be staple dishes when it comes to Thai food and therefore my comparisons are solely based on these restrictions. I can say that although I tasted the Thai "elements" in these dishes, the authenticity was not how I've known Thai food to be. As mentioned earlier, it could be due to the limitations of ingredients in this town or their dishes are just catered to a different set of taste buds here. However, because I can detect some authenticity, I wouldn't strike this place out of my return list. Service: Quick. There was one employee managing the dining area and the phone. When I got there, there was only one table being used by customers so it was relatively empty. It seemed like most people ordered via phone and stopped by to pick up, which is understandable and reassuring during the pandemic. Price / Quantity: Since I haven't tried any other Thai locations in town, I cannot comment on this. However, I did feel like I was paying a little on the higher end in comparison to the amount of food I was receiving. But again, this could be the standard. Parking: Extremely plentiful and easy to find. No issues here. This review may be a bit harsh being that I may be unjustly comparing the food served here to the food served in California. However, because I do not have any other Thai food locations in town to compare to just yet, this is about all I can say. Would I revisit, probably. I definitely do hope they bring back their duck dishes from their previous menu; I was looking forward to ordering that but it seems like it is currently a discontinued item. read more
