Small place in a tidy little strip mall, but WOW the food was amazing. We came in at an odd, between-meals time, but our server wasn't terribly attentive. Or attentive at all unless we asked. Overall, the flavors were very good and everything tasted fresh. The dumplings were definitely a highlight. The beef sticks had great flavor, but the meat was pretty chewy. Service was good -- staff was attentive and everything came out in a timely manner. Our total was about $95 with tip for three people. OK, as a California gal, my standard for Asian food is quite high. This place is good enough and warranted a second visit while we were in town. If I were to be in Lawton again, I would come back to this place and yes, I do recommend stopping by. Their pho is better here than the other place we tried. My mom had it twice and the second time, we asked for extra noodles and indeed, they provided! Their Tom Yum soup is different... but not bad. It does have the sour taste as expected but there are more vegetables in it like carrot and spinach, which I can appreciate. The General Tso beef was good! I enjoyed the spicy level 5. I highly recommend this. Yes, spicy level 5 has a kick ;) Spring rolls weren't bad and I like to pair it with their peanut sauce with extra sriracha. I also recommend their steamed baos! So soft and baked well. I did not order any drinks so cannot speak to that. Parking is easy. We parked in front both times. Location in an area near a donut shop and a Korean restaurant. I didn't use the bathroom but my mom said it was clean. Service is good. The girls are friendly and food comes out fast. The restaurant is connected to a market, which I did not visit, so I cannot speak on that. This place is probably a staple here in Lawton. Its red walls add to its character and I do hope for continued success for Red Pepper. Keep doing what you're doing! read more

Wife and I came here while in town...it's limited seating and at times packed. We shared some fried egg rolls which were delicious, hot & fresh. Wife had the beef sticks which are amazing, tender and flavorful. The rice was sticky and moist. I have the red pepper chicken without jalapeños, it has a nice crunch texture that is flavorful to the palate. The service was semi slow but still the food is good enough to come back. read more

This is my go to restaurant in Lawton and for good reason. The portions are always big, the price is affordable, and the service is speedy. I always get the Red Pepper Chicken, and their General Tso's Chicken is good too. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. There is plenty of seating, and the restaurant is generally quiet. Next door is a small Asian market which is worth checking out while you wait for your food. Expect to see lots of people coming in and out to get their takeout! Did I mention they have the best boba in town? Their boba is actually chewy and perfectly made, and they have a variety of boba drinks. Let me start by saying that the food is indeed good. I want to start with the price of the food. That's the real issue, all the times I've been here it always hit my wallet different. I've never really sat down and looked at my receipt at what exactly I was paying for BUT TODAY I did. First thing I looked at on my receipt was my favorite, the taro smoothie w/boba is $12.95!! Bruh! $12.95 for a smoothie is insane! The boba wasn't even warm, it was still frozen and it was a little runny at that. For that much for one beverage you'd expect it to be perfect right? There are a couple of restaurants and Boba spots that serve the same thing that's just as good but way cheaper. Dragon leaf bar, they have the same taro smoothie with boba for $6.85 for a large while Red Pepper charges you $12.95 (here's the breakdown) 7.95(taro beverage)=4.00(cause its a large)+1.00(just because its a smoothie)+1.00(for the actual boba)= $12.95 crazy right! Here's another great spot to eat at Thai Bistro (my new go-to spot) where its bigger and really nice there, they also have a taro smoothie w/boba but only have one size but it's only $8.16. Come to think of it I've only went to Red Pepper because of my lady. They're really just scamming the prices of their food and beverages up in there. That's fine they have a right to do so especially when their main audience is Military members and BCT & AIT parents of graduates there its quick work and heavy cashflow. I just can't sit there and get knocked upside down with a $60-$85 bill whenever I come there to eat w/ my lady. And for the weird comments from folks that are saying they came all the way from California, DC, and etc to eat at a store front restaurant in little ol' Lawton, OK. STOP THE CAP! You came to see your loved one's graduation at Ft. Sill, you just happen to hear about Red Pepper like I did. I'll close with saying the food is good, but it's pricey you want boba go elsewhere. Try adding "gourmet " Asian Cuisine in the name of your restaurant to match the price. I only wish I saved my receipt before I ran out of there after paying too much money. read more

The food was tasty with the exception of the shrimp which were very dry and not edible. The tray the food comes in is sectioned (on purpose), which accounts for the small portions. OMG!! Super flavorful food, I'm absolutely in love. We ordered the chicken pad Thai spice level 2 which was a good amount of heat to explode those flavors even more. The red pepper combo came with shrimp,chicken, and beef. The shrimp were not as big as pictured and a little over cooked (only downfall) however, the crispiness of the beef and chicken were perfect. The flavor was absolutely amazing. Even when I was full I just kept eating more. It is a little pricey but worth it, I had enough for leftovers even though at first glance I thought it wasn't a good portion for the price. We will definitely be back to try more menu items. They no longer have the the crab boils which is why I wanted to go there in the first place. I hope they bring them back because if this food was good I can only imagine how the seafood would taste. I've been reluctant in trying Red Pepper, and now want to kick myself in the butt for not trying it sooner. First off, it's a small business and warm atmosphere! Service was great, and very patient with me as i browsed their menu for a good while. I decided to go with the original "red pepper chicken" and was not disappointed. It was flavorful, sweet but had a bit of a bite, and juicy! Chicken wasn't over cooked or dry. The fried rice was a great addition. My fiancé ordered the garlic shrimp and was in hog heaven. The garlic sauce was perfectly tangy with that garlic punch. Shrimp was cooked nicely- not rubbery. We also got the appetizer combo. The Gyoza was great, but the crab Rangoon was my favorite! You could see the fresh cut green onions in it. So much more than just some deep fried cream cheese. Overall was a wonderful experience. This is our go to when we want quality food. It's flavorful and authentic. This food is worth the wait. I always order their Thai Chicken Curry. They literally make an individual serving right when I order it. It's a small owned restaurant with a decent amount of tables and clear view into their clean kitchen. I love that they keep the door open to the Global Food Market next door which they also own. If you order to go you can peruse their market side while you wait. The prices have increased slightly with the inflation to maintain the quality of their food. I appreciate that when other places food has noticeably declined while still increasing their prices. We recently tried their Honey BBQ chicken. This is not on the menu and was delicious! I love that they like to create new dishes and explore new culinary ideas. The food was amazing, owners and workers are very friendly, and the restaurant and grocery (attached next door) we're very organized, cleaned and well maintained. The food was cooked right after you've completed your order so though your waiting just a little you're not eating dry, cold, and tasteless food. The quantity and quality is amazing. Food was a little pricey in the restaurant, but then grocery store alone was expensive. Wow this place is such a hole in the wall but an amazing find. It's right off Sheridan next to the Global Food Market and they are attached. You wouldn't know, however, that it was a restaurant if you drop by. The Global Market is really cool for Lawton, they have live seafood and lots of unique oddities like Balut. The food is amazing. Hands down. We ordered take out and the food is very authentic Thai/Chinese food. They have a great variety and the prices are fair. I had the Red Pepper Shrimp with fried shrimp in an amazing sauce with jalapeños and red and green peppers. I got mine 2 stars and the spice was perfect. I also subbed for their fried rice. I thought their fried rice was a little bland, it was really only brown rice with some egg but when I added their sauce it tasted great. My husband had the crispy rice noddles with beef and the beef was perfect. It was shredded thin in an amazing sauce and the crispy noddles were tasty. He also subbed with the fried rice. We also ordered egg rolls and dumplings, both with chicken and both super authentic and good. They accidentally gave us 3 egg rolls but you get 2 when you order and you get 6 dumplings. The dumpling sauce was sweet and tangy. I didn't really like the egg roll sauce but I used the dumpling sauce for the egg rolls and I would suggest subbing that if you get it. First the positives, the corn, potatoes, and sauce were AMAZING. The shrimp on the other hand was undercooked. When I alerted the staff they seemed to pressure me into thinking that it was cooked properly, and I quote "most Asian people eat it raw" (from the owner). I was a little taken back by that statement. They did take it back and bring me new shrimp, but also took my potatoes and corn with them and I sadly didn't get to enjoy those again. In return for the undercooked shrimp they brought me a Thai Iced Tea on the house, which was great! In conclusion just be cautious about the seafood.
