The food was horrible. The first red flag should have been how empty the place was. The food was so dry and had been sitting out for so long everything was dehydrated. Like the jalapeño poppers were all shrunken and shriveled up. Everything was! Nothing incredible about here, it's just a typical Chinese buffet with your typical characters I was sweet and sour pork, egg drop soup, I'm sour soup, sushi watermelon you know what I'm talking about you. Hong Kong Buffet got a makeover. Gone are the carpets for a light ash colored flooring. Shorter buffet areas but more servings of different and fresh food. They've opened the place up, taking down some of the walls. They have bubbling water reflecting different pastel colors for some of the walls. Despite the new floor, I found the ambience to be very quiet, laid back, peaceful. I like it, actually. Yep, change has really added light and brightened up the place. Good job. They had three different type of fish available. I did not see crab legs so no idea if they still have that or not. Plenty of shrimp and crawfish to satisfy a fish lover. The sushi was great. I was under the impression that all Asian buffets were the same. Well, now I can say that's not true. The food had been sitting too long to the point that sweet & sour sauce had developed a film on top. The food might have looked more enticing had it been stirred once in a while but you could tell it had been out for some time. Some of the chicken looked dry even in whatever sauce it was in. We had lunch at this place on 8/23/2003. There is no way the temperature of the food on the buffet line met health standards for appropriate temperature. Even the hot and sour soup was lukewarm. I'm in Lawton visiting a family member in the hospital and I am hoping they don't need to admit me for some sort of food related illness. My lunch companions ordered diet Coke and diet Dr. Pepper, all drinks were regular Dr. Pepper. They were politely sent back and they all received another Dr. Pepper. None of the food had labels so I often didn't know what I was grabbing until I got back to the table and bit into it. Nothing to write home about but on par with other Asian buffets in town. They have a Mongolian grill as well which I did not try but looked good. Their Mexican though was horrible. They would be better off getting rid of it all together. The corn tortillas were so dried out they stuck together, their hard shells tasted old and lacked the crunch of fresh shells, and their rice was burnt to the bottom of the pan and dry. I took one bite of the enchiladas and spit it out it was so bad. The desserts and chocolate fountain were amazing and the sushi was decent. Overall, it could be better but not bad. I think the quality really depends on when you come in.... if you come at 11:00 a.m right at their opening or 4:00 p.m right at their dinner starting time, the food is so fresh and new and perfect. But other time besides that, especially after like 8:00 pm ........ hard to describe. This place went through a serious remodel and changed from The Hong Kong Buffet to Fusion Buffet. It's much cleaner on the inside. As far as the food goes, the food is pretty much the exact same kind of food. The only new thing is an added taco buffet table. I always liked the food here, so I'm actually very happy that the food is the same! I love the chicken on a stick and the string beans. The glass noddles are seriously my favorite and the shrimp with lobster sauce is delicious! My boyfriend and I went here with some friends recently and they tried the bacon wrapped jalapeños and thought they were delicious! They also enjoyed the sushi and hibachi!
