So you have to go prospecting for a table or bung up at the front door waiting for a table to open in the front room -- and there are at least three rooms. Once seated, the service is friendly, the iced tea bottomless, and there are daily specials, including rotating desserts. We had the Coca-Cola cake: it did not disappoint! Lunch was chicken fried steak and chicken tenders, both well seasoned and tender, with sweet potato casserole and fried okra.

It's not a big place and almost has the vibe of being a dive but food is great. They are famous for their Bobby burger which is huge. We haven't tried it but our first time there the table next to us had ordered 4 or 5 of them. Monstrous!! Our go around on this trip was breakfast so we ventured to the biscuits and gravy with eggs and sausage Pattie's and hashbrowns. On top of the deliciously cooked food we've always had great service and a very comfortable setting.

The unexpected theme of our cross country trip was 'mom and pop', small business, owner operated. Our server was the epitome of southern hospitality and kindness. Tried the Bobby Burger and was impressed with the size and quality. A customer saw the reaction on my face and said that she wished she had her phone ready to take the picture. It was Ginormous!!

It was rather tasty but the other ingredients were indistinguishable. I wish it would've been hit rather than lukewarm. The burger was decent but a bit dry. However, the brisket made it much better. The fries were extremely salty and only warm, thus making the up-charge was a ripoff. I still say give them a shot. The history shows that it's a good place. I just got them on a bad day. Wife focus

Our dining experience was very disappointing. We were a party of five, and several issues occurred…read morethroughout the meal. First, one of the salads was prepared incorrectly, and then one of the potatoes was also wrong. The chicken fried steak was extremely dry, and the steak that was ordered medium rare came out medium well. It took quite a while for the replacement steak to arrive -- in fact, the rest of the table had already finished eating by the time it was served. When the check arrived, the server told us we were not being charged for the replacement steak. However, the ticket showed two steaks listed, with one later removed. When we questioned this, the server again stated that we were not charged for the remake. I have never heard of a customer being expected to pay for a steak that had to be remade due to an incorrect order.

Finished up a volleyball game and wanted something good to eat before we headed home. My entire family has eaten here, but I have not. So we had it on over and I got to try it. We ordered the barbecue nachos and bacon wrapped jalapeños. Both were really food! The wonton chips are my absolute favorite when it comes to nachos! Jalapeño bites were awesome. My daughter and I crushed those in a heart beat! I ordered the white wing plate and it was ok. It supposed to be stuffed with cheese and jalapeños, but my guess is all the cheese cooked out or there was so little of it that it evaporated! If they can figure out how to keep the cheese present then it would be great. But since the cheese was not present, the chicken was on the drier side. Side Caesar salad was ok. Dressing was generic and plentiful! Everybody enjoyed the meal. We will go back and try some different items next time.

We are travelers coming from out of state and landed in Little Rock for an evening…read more When we asked a local we ran into for their favorite joint, they recommended Waldo's. When we arrived it was late and instead of glaring at us for coming in near closing time, we were greeted with kindness. We asked what their favorite was and we ordered it. Had the Foul Mouth sandwich combo and cheddar biscuits with some chicken nuggets. The chicken was absolutely delicious with a spiced crust perfectly fried. The chicken was moist and when we added the sauces, we lost our mind. The biscuits are amazing too, but with the honey butter they were divine. If you are a food critic or just a casual diner the cook was perfect and the flavor on point. The staff were phenomenal and deserve praise too. Thank you Little Rock! Arkansas, we love your people!

I took my 96-year-old mom here for the first time on St Patrick's Day 2026. I wasn't sure what to…read moreexpect because I'd driven by the place numerous times and it always struck me as a fast food place (which I don't do), but the "& BEER" always made me pause since crappy fast food places only serve children's drinks. So for St Patrick's Day, I was looking for place with inexpensive food, inexpensive beer, and FREE parking. This Waldo's met all three requirements. We went there with no expectations and we were not disappointed!! My mom ordered the rotisserie chicken sandwich and ate the whole thing which she rarely ever does with any sandwich anymore so it must have been good! I ordered the small chicken nachos, thinking I'd get served a tiny plate of food, and the SMALL was so large, I ended up taking half home with me! This will be dinner as well as lunch, especially after I smoke some St Patrick's Day green. ;) The beer was decently priced too, because they basically have happy hour all day. The only drink that was full price was the draft cider, but I can forgive them for that since they say that all draft beers are half price and technically, cider isn't a beer. Waldo's has a choice of three types of service: drive through/pick up service which is perfect for people under 21 and tee-totalers; counter service where you can still order alcohol but you have to do all the work and pay as you go; and full service at the bar where someone else does the work for you for a tip like a regular restaurant. Best thing at the end of the meal was NO STICKER SHOCK!! I estimated $35 (pre-tax&tip), and the actual bill was $35.57 (with tax). I always think I'm lucky if I estimate within $2 of the actual bill, so I can't beat that!! I will definitely eat and drink here again, and I recommend it to everyone!
