Brisket, ribs, pickle pasta salad, and slaw

BBQ was great, but the star of the show was definitely the signature pickle pasta salad. They do a great job of balancing sweet and sour and surprisingly the dish was so refreshing. I had the ribs and brisket. Brisket was good, ribs were decent, just a bit dry for my liking. Portions were a bit small as well. Overall, food was good!

Platter of beans, tater salad, and brisket. Oh, a slice of stale bread.

The food was very good but the portions were really small. The is no service. You pay and they bring a tray. The ambiance is that of a bar or honky Tonk. Very loud. Paid $29 for about $2.00 worth of brisket.

Food came out lightning fast (as BBQ should) and was hot and fresh. It had a great flavor profile for the brisket. Mac-N-Chz was solid too. Place had a great atmosphere overall with some College hoops on the TV's. Seems like a good joint to spend some time with friends or family. They also sell retail sauces, etc. Great little spot!

Smoked wings?????

I have NEVER had FRIED "smoked" wings???? NO smoke, NO flavor ABSOLUTELY NO SEASONING!!!! The worst tasteless wings I've ever had and don't let that little grill mark fool you THESE WING AINT SEEN NO SMOKER!!!! Mac n cheese alright nothing special a little dry flavor better than the wings! Definitely not worth $20 should have followed my first mind and went to Wrights BBQ IN LITTLE ROCK!!!

BBQ Parfait

A coworker had given rave reviews and they did not exaggerate. The BBQ parfait was delicious and all the flavors complemented each other.

We had my sons rehearsal dinner at Count Porkula on Saturday, October 28. Upon arrival, we were directed to the self service drinks and shown to the bar if we were interested in imbibing. They had our buffet style meal on tables in a section where we all sat at tables near each other. We were offered pulled pork, chicken, buns, bbq beans, & potato salad. I chose the chicken and beans. Everyone agreed it was fantastic! I loved the chicken so much I ended up going back for seconds. I have no clue as to the cost, but my son said it was quite reasonable. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. I'm not from the area, but would definitely recommend to anyone who is traveling through or is fortunate enough to live nearby.

It's what's for lunch! Yum!

LOVE this place. The staff is super personable and friendly. The signature cocktails were very tasty! My friend and I tried the pulled pork, brisket, collard greens (with homemade pepper vinegar), baked beans, dill pickle pasta, potato salad....all superb. Definitely going back!!

Another recommendation from my friend Kelsey, who did marketing for Little Rock. I came in on a super rainy day. I had a difficult time choosing what I wanted to eat because everything looked amazing! The lady at the register was so sweet. I went with the pulled pork platter with slaw and potato salad; and of course Southern Sweet Tea to wash it all down. There were quite a few customers in the restaurant, but not too busy. All my food was delicious!

Upon walking into the restaurant, I didn't notice a sign in regards to where to order or someone to ask. I attempted to get the RUDE bartender's attention and she abruptly turned her head. I initially thought, perhaps she just did not hear me. So I tried again, she looked DIRECTLY in my eyes and abruptly turned her head AGAIN. I then walked up to the bar and she glances at me as though I was bothering her. Then, she says I can order at the bar or over there (flops her hand in the direction). After "bothering her" to inquire on where to order, I walked over to the counter counter to order. Eventually, a lady pops up to take my order. This lady was sooooo much more pleasant and helpful. Took the time to offer recommendations (which I very much appreciated). Meat was tender and I like the BBQ sauce. The bartender was very off putting, she really turned me off from coming back.

A trio plate of sausage, brisket, and sausage with sides of pickle pasta and slaw.

I've been here twice since they've opened, and both times my wife and I have ordered their trio plate to get a good sampling of their meats and sides. First off, the folks are very friendly and service both times was prompt. The food, overall, was really good. My wife and I are BBQ snobs and are very particular about our 'cue. So let me give you the lowdown on what I had. The pulled pork was good - a solid "B" in my book; so were the ribs. (Keep in mind that I'm a pretty harsh judge of BBQ so a "B" is a pretty darn good rating in my book.) The sausage was outstanding - an easy "A" and the surprise standout to me was the brisket - "A+" both times I had it. That surprised me, because here in Arkansas it's all about the pork, so I was especially impressed by the brisket! I tried the smoked chicken and it was fine, but not quite as good as everything else. The other big surprise is that I've found myself addicted to the pickle pasta. My wife ordered it, I turned my nose up at it until she talked me into trying it. WOW! Just amazing stuff. The seasoned fries are really good as well. Will we be back? Absolutely! I hope they can keep up the quality and I'm definitely sitting here thinking about that brisket...it was just fantastic.

The flavors are rich, everything is seasoned with care, and clearly made by folks who love what they do. You can actually taste the intention in the food. I've tasted the chick'n spaghetti, cauliflower wings, and vegan shrimp. Each time, I'm licking the plate lol The vegan shrimp is my absolute favorite! The Mac & cheese, yams, and greens are all delicious too so sometimes it's hard to choose. Just know you gotta top it off with the spirulina drink. But it's not just about the food (though the food is bomb.com). The customer service is top tier and the whole damn place is just a vibe--from the energy when you walk in, to the little free library shelf tucked right next to the counter like an altar for knowledge and community care. I always leave here in a good mood. That right there tells you everything you need to know! This isn't just a restaurant, it's a staple in the community and I'm glad this business exists. Kudos to the H.O.M.E. for creating a place that feeds you on every level--body, mind & spirit. I'm already plotting my next visit.

Kibbs is straight forward counter service bbq spot. There's no seating, not tables no indoor anything. It's off the side of a 2 lane road, you order at the window and you eat on either on your way back to your car or if you can hold off until you get home. I ordered the beef sandwich with cold slaw and medium bbq sauce which had a nice little kick to it. The beef was thinly sliced, tender and full of flavor. The bbq sauce was sweet, spicy and paired with the coleslaw had the perfect tang. It all comes on a simple bun and everything goes together so perfectly. I can honestly say this was one of the best bbq sandwiches I had in a while. The owner and staff were very kind and friendly and I wish them many more years of success.

Although both were very good, The beef was the clear winner here! The bbq sauce was sweet, with a Smokey flavor. I haven't found this flavor in any bigger more established restaurant yet. Only critique is the beef was slightly over cooked. Top 5 I've ever tasted!
