I stopped at Theopolis while visiting Shawnee and went with the breakfast tacos. Three street corn…read moretortillas with scrambled eggs and carne asada, plus chips and salsa, and they were seriously so good. The carne asada had great flavor and the whole thing felt like a really solid brunch order. Downtown Shawnee has a lot of character, and Theopolis feels like it belongs there. It has a little bit of that dressed-up brunch feel without being stuffy, and there's clearly a lot of thought behind the restaurant. I'm always happy to see a locally owned spot that puts an emphasis on local ingredients, too. I'd definitely come back for the tacos, and next time I'd be tempted to try one of their cocktails. The menu makes it pretty hard to pick just one thing.

She ordered 6 of your baked potato meals. 3 of the Spud Max and 3 of your Smokehouse spuds. The order taker was fine with that, but then a manager, which may have been you, said we could only have 3 orders of Baked potatoes. The reason was something about us taking all the baked potatoes you had. [therefore, you would have none for other customers] I thought it should be first come, first served on any item you sell. Then when we got home [Prague, Oklahoma] with the 3 that we were allowed to have, the Spud maxes were only trimmed with scant amounts of additives. I have ordered this item in the past when someone was able to bring me inside to eat and I was happy with my purchase, as the volume of each additive was generous. This entire incident [noon on the 18th] was very embarrassing for me because I was trying to treat a few friends that had purchased meals for me in the past. I had always thought of your place as being one of the best places to eat in Shawnee. Now, not so much.
