Out of town and looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite for lunch. My friend from the area suggested we try this McAlisters Deli location. I've had it in the past in other parts of Oklahoma and remembered it being pretty flavorful and fresh. This however wasn't the case for this location. Though the customer service from the cashier was polite and warm, both of our sandwhich were cold the moment they were delivered to our table and we bit into them. Mine lacked a good amount of meat and my friend's soup had a hair in it. I'm not sure will be coming back to this location specifically but will continue to support McAlisters Deli. read more

I normally don't have an issues with this location. My mouth fell open when I saw this poor excuse for a wrap. I went inside to ask them to remake it and they just sent out the same wrap. I understand that everything doesn't always look like the picture but this was beyond pathetic. I spent 1500 of my points on this meal. I am a busy mom and was going to enjoy this meal by myself. I reached out to McAllisters and they sent me 1000 points as compensation. The younger guy at the counter was friendly. However the the young lady who I showed the wrap was not. I recently gave a three star review b/c of short items on delivery and pickup issues. I had a response from McAlister's Corporate shortly after posting with apologies and asked more questions. I certainly am impressed and humbled to receive a personal acknowledgment. She told me I would be contacted again. The local manager just called and I expressed my concern. Normally I don't leave bad reviews on any business. I know people have off days and understand fully. I had placed my order online so that it was ready for pickup. Arrived at the store and no one acknowledged us upon arriving. I had to call the store, get someone to answer the phone just to get my order which we were standing at the counter for. We had issues with the food. My issue is that I found a foreign object in my food and paid for extra stuff on the sandwiches and did not receive it. For the second time, both my husband and I have found broken toothpick pieces in our food. My husband found one and almost choked a couple years ago and recently I found one in mine. It isn't from the toothpicks placed to hold the sandwich in place. It's a separate piece in the sandwich. Definitely be cautious. read more

Came in with the family for a late lunch. Customers were stacked a few deep, with only one register open. The lady on the register asked for help from someone (I assume) was a manager who denied her help and some little teenage girl who was standing around doing nothing. The food wasn't bad, but the lack of consideration for the staff by other staff members was pretty lacking. We'd have probably gotten our drinks and been able to sit a little quicker if we hadn't had to wait ten minutes in line. I love McAllisters. My family does. But when you advertise 99 cent kid meals, EXCEPT pizza, but don't state that the kids pizza is $4 more, that's not okay, that's not good customer service and it's not good business practice. Your employees couldn't even show me where it STATES that kid pizzas are not 99 cents like the others. And especially in this economy, this inflation period, it's really sad. Unfortunately this location is back to its horrible service. Last night my order was 6 items. I got 3 items. When I got home to feed the family half the meal was missing, including the dessert. My sandwich bread had been toasted and sitting out for hours, but only 1 of the 3 slices. Very strange experience. My friend suggested McAlester's Deli lunch and so I decided to give it a shot. I ordered the Four Cheese Griller sandwich which was good but not great. Truthfully, I'd have like more cheese. Or less bread. Or thinner bread (the bread was like a muffuletta bread). I'd also like to have know that there was tomato on it. But the sandwich is mentioned on the online menu and not mentioned at all that's the board, do outside of knowing that it apparently has 4 types of cheeses I was in the dark. I ordered a cup of the broccoli cheddar soup. It was good with melted cheese in it. Sandwiches come with a pickle and I must say they have killer pickles. I also got an Arnold Palmer and I liked it. Me and my family came in today and all four of our meals were messed up. the french dip came with onions in it, the grilled chicken club had everything on it after asking for some modifications, the veggie wrap with turkey has onions and mayo splattered all over it. Pretty good deli store. Had the Choose 2 combo of spicy chicken southwest and tomato bisque. Good spicy taste of the sandwich and the bread is pretty good quality too. Tomato soup is flavorful and crackers balance the soup at just the right level. My family had the potato soup and veggie sandwich. Drove 45 minutes to get the wrong order. The entire order was wrong. I contacted the store and was informed by the manager I would have to drive back 45 minutes to get a $20 refund. I said no. First and last time trying the pick up option. After over 10 minutes in line for pick up window and only one car getting their food, I drove off. There was still 4 cars ahead and 3 cars behind. I would think ordering/paying ahead and picking up at the window would be a streamlined process. Really hope this improves because the menu looks really good and I love easy pickup. read more

I was given very terrible service the food wasn't ready till 30 minutes after the arrival time the website gave us and I understand business gets busy but they didn't even give us a heads up or anything. If I could score review with a -50 I would! If this had happened one time to us it would be enough but every time is too much! My husband had a to go order which he waited 45 min on AGAIN!! As he watched 22 cars receive their food in the drive through and two customers order, receive their food and eat and leave! And two more customers order after him receive food to go and leave! Claiming it was new staff or they are short of staff is an invalid response when you see this many other customers receiving their food and leaving! My husband spoke with them about these issues and manager was nice and claimed she would be mailing two free meals to our address but we have heard this before and it never happens!! I have always loved McAlister's Deli, mostly for their sweet tea, but I had their club sandwich and Broccoli and Cheddar Soup and it was on point. Their sweet tea is second to none and they serve it in very large cups so you aren't walking away without being completely satisfied. I eat here all the time because it's one of the only healthier places in Shawnee that's easily accessible for me. It's delicious but I wish they were more consistent. Portions will be off, and sometimes even the quality(bad lettuce, old squishy tomatoes, I've even gotten bad chicken before). Over all the service is fairly good though.
