There was a warm body at the counter to take our order. They made an impression. Not good. Zaxby's save some money, cut staff. A touch screen kiosk for the customer interface would be an improvement. So, order your food. Pick up your food and get your own drink. Not that big of a deal. Just like McDonalds. The salad. Bagged salad mix (a little stale). Most fast-food joints use the premade salad mix; not unusual. A good-sized bowl of mixed greens. A small amount of chicken. A mediocre salad. Not recommended. This is the second time that I have tried a Zaxby's. The one on Yale in Tulsa a few years ago was just average. I have never been back to a Zaxby's until now. I gave them this one more last try. Zaxby's is the weakest player in the chicken business. Yelp rates all the stores in the Tulsa/Owasso area at 3.1 stars. I think that is spot on. Not a stelar rating. Zaxby's has a "may be going out of business soon" vibe to them. If you are a Mexican restaurant cartel owner looking for prime properties to expand your business, keep an eye on the Zaxby's locations. On to the next chicken joint.

Disgustingly, the green in the salad had black spots on many of the pieces. Additionally, there was liquid/water covering the entire bottom of the container! It seemed to be somewhat murky looking. This salad was the nastiest thing I've seen in a loooong time. I'll post a picture below. (I'd picked some of the pieces from the salad and placed them in the clear lid.) The new one on the south side of Broken Arrow. The insanely popular, somewhat over rated, new location has a parking lot the size of a Walmart Super Center. There is a covered staffed check point to register your order and for traffic control of the drive through service. Clean, bright inside. Appears to be well managed. The manager of the day was circulating in the dining area sweeping, policing the area after the days lunch time rush. Not busy at all this time of the day. Two Cobb salads with the fried chicken and the Avocado Lime Ranch dressing. Big big salads piled high with chopped fried chicken breast. Very generous with the chicken. Enough to last through the last bite, if you mix it up thoroughly. Under the chicken a bed of fresh mixed greens. Throw in a hardboiled egg, bacon bits, cover it all with Chick fil-A's exceptionally tasty Avocado Lime Ranch dressing along with the crispy bell pepper pieces. This is a filling delicious salad! For a fast-food salad, I don't think any franchise will beat them. Have never really cared for Chick fil-A's sandwiches. Chicken sandwich competition is fierce. A category that the small independent restaurants dominate because they are not restricted by the franchise's standards. Very high marks for the salad though.

Most fast food franchises could not find staff, because the government paid the workers to stay home. The fast food industry struggled to provide the bare minimum service. Canes's had a unique solution. Staff the stores with corporate HQ employees. They kept things moving and provided great service. Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is consistent in quality and service. One of my preferred fast food chicken joints. Chic-fil-A..... No Thanks.. Pass

Chili was good. Onion rings were great. I think I might have been most impressed with the fries, they were still crispy even when smothered in chili and cheese. This is a seat yourself place. Not too crowded on a Saturday afternoon. We grabbed a booth and a server was there right away to greet us and take drink orders. We took some extra time looking over the menu (first time there) and placed our order. Food arrived quickly and all at once. Our server checked in with us several times to see if we needed anything, drinks, to go boxes, or to go drinks. Overall this place was really good. We will come back, we travel through often. They weren't very busy and after trying the food I cannot understand why they weren't packed! When you walk in there are kiosks that you order from. I don't mind this at all but I did want to ask about their Kilauea chicken and the spice level since they described it as lava hot. I just went ahead and ordered without inquiring with a real person. No big deal I ordered the Molokai chicken plate and my son got the Honolulu chicken plate. I also got a side of pineapple and my son got a side of spam musubi. The portion size was generous! The chicken was TENDER. The rice was cooked perfectly and the macaroni salad put that Walmart macaroni salad to SHAME! It was delicious! My son who doesn't like macaroni salad completely cleared his plate! He basically inhaled the spam musibi and I'll say the side of fresh pineapple was delicious! I was completely stuffed and there wasn't a crumb left between us. For a franchise it's really excellent and I highly recommend! I will be back soon! Oh and my son mentioned the bathrooms being nicely decorated and very clean, so that's always a plus!
