First time EVER at a Chick Fil A. Wanted to see what the hype is all about. I have been wanting to try CFA for several years. This is what I got for $13 (see photo). 4 teeny weeny burnt tenders, and a side of Mac n cheese. The Chicken Tenders - Embarrassingly small. No shame from Chick Fil A, though. Staff has no problem totally ripping you off. The one flavor that is very distinct is SALT. I probably gained 3 pounds the next morning from the salt bloat. The Mac N Cheese - I could not gag it down. It was just mushy noodles in a wet bland sauce. My high school cafeteria made better Mac n cheese. I wanted to join the Bonanza and love Chick Fil A. But at the end of the day, I can't join the Cheer Crowd. The place is always busy with a big line (I am baffled by the sheep). With the increased inflation and cost of living, I would rather get a little more bang for my dollar. $13 for 4 teeny strips and a side of Mac n Cheese was a total rip off. And it hurts more when the food is cheap processed garbage. It would have cost me over $50 to feed this same meal to fa family of 4. I wish I had taken a ruler to the chicken tenders to put it in perspective. We are talking 2" chicken tenders. Stop Being Sheep, people. Don't believe the HYPE. Place is a total bust.

Waffle fries almost gone. Pretty good.

Last summer, Chick-fil-A opened two full service restaurants in the Capital Region and it seemed that people couldn't get enough. The lines of people and cars snaked around the buildings. This went on for months. I found the mania curious. For years, there's been a Chick-fil- A at the airport. So it wasn't the region's first introduction to the products. I recalled that the sandwiches were good, but I wasn't going to fight the crowds. Besides, the chain was also opening restaurants at the Thruway rest stops. My husband and I happened to be in North Greenbush the other day. There actually was a line of cars at the Chick-fil-A drive through but the restaurant itself wasn't very crowded. So I ordered an original chicken sandwich and waffle fries. The staff is young, friendly and very polite. I liked the fact that they bring you the order once it's ready. The inside of the restaurant looked very clean and a pleasant decor that was a step above most fast food chains. It didn't take long to prepare the meal. I liked the fries. The original chicken sandwich has a breaded cutlet. It was as good as I remember, but it didn't stand out. The cutlet was neither as thick as some competitors' nor was it as flavorful. Nevertheless, Chick-fil-A is a respectable contender as chicken sandwich businesses continue to battle for supremacy.

Chick-fil-A is the pinnacle of fast food and I've waited my entire life for one to come to the Capital Region. Well, after years of heartache and pain that wait is finally over. As I walked in, the restaurant was packed to the brim. It had been a long time since I've had Chick-fil-A so I ordered a ridiculous amount of food. To explain, I ordered a chicken sandwich, tenders, waffle fries, macaroni and cheese, and a chocolate shake. With how busy it was I thought it would take a while, but by some miracle I received my food in about five minutes. With that being said, I immediately dug into the food and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken tenders were crispy, juicy, and tender. Plus, the Chick-fil-A sauce paired with them creates a magical flavor. To elaborate, the sauce was creamy, tangy, and sweet. I could guzzle it down by the gallons. Moreover, the chicken sandwich is by far the best fast food chicken sandwich. Popeyes chicken sandwich isn't even in the same realm as Chick-fil-A's. In addition, the fries were hot and crispy. Also, the mac and cheese was cheesy and tasty. Finally, the chocolate shake was excellent. The shake was creamy, sweet, and not too thick. Simply put, everything was great. To sum it up, this Chick-fil-A is as good as any. The food was excellent and the service was top notch. It still feels surreal that Chick-fil-A is now in the Capital Region, but I'm glad that it is.

I think the set up for ordering is great but could use a few kinks ironed out. Seems to be staffed well and no complaints w the food that tasted fresh. Nice spot 2 miles down to eat it.

Never order from here!…read more The food is always incorrect. It takes forever. And they are always out of something or at least claim they are out of something. It is obvious that the workers do not give a sh*t to the point where I will never trust food from this location again. I have given them more chances than I probably should have and this is always what happens.

No more special KFC trips to Menands or Bennington for some people in this area. Also, the new traffic signal with GridSmart at Hoosick Rd & Lord Ave intersection is now operational, which helps especially with the Planet Fitness and KFC exiting traffic. An Aldi, a Wendy's and apartments are also going up adjacent to the Planet Fitness. I stopped in at the Brunswick KFC for dine-in lunch recently. The place was very busy around lunchtime as I entered the place, pull very hard on the door to enter. I ordered at the counter, the Chicken Pot Pie with Soft Drink ($6.19 plus tax). I was given a cup for self serve Pepsi fountain drinks, unsweetened & sweet iced tea. I did have to wait around 10 minutes for my pot pie since it was still baking. The KFC chicken pot pie is pretty standard served very hot with boneless chicken pieces, potato, peas and carrots in a creamy broth topped with a flaky pastry pie crust. The prepackaged chocolate chip cookie is no longer included, which is no big deal.  Afterwards, I decided to order more food, but through the KFC app since I saw a lot of people coming in to pickup online orders and leaving promptly. I ordered a Spicy Chicken Mac & Cheese Bowl ($5 plus tax) and a family sized frosted Chocolate Cake ($4.99 plus tax). The app had minor issues processing, but I checked my email and my order was sent through and I order was called and ready in 5 minutes. The spicy chicken bowl had dense mac & cheese and popcorn chicken topped with a spicy sauce. I ate some of the chocolate cake for later on with coffee.  If using the drive thru, just be aware that once you drive in, you cannot exit the raised curbed drive thru lane with vehicles in front and back of your vehicle. As a professional who has reviewed and designed site plans for fast food & coffee places (I did not Yelp those locations), I would never allow or approve the single curbed drive-thru lane with no escape. There will be cases when the customer gets to the speaker and the store does not have certain items or when a delivery driver decides to unassign an order when things take too long. They are trapped in the drive thru lane until the vehicles ahead of them move on. I have to deduct a star for this atrocity of bad site engineering.

I've been to one of their many locations in Boston and it has always been amazing. It's not a fancy establishment, but very clean and there are but a few tables. You can order ahead online or simply pop in. I guarantee that it will be worth the wait. And besides they are located in a small shopping center if you really can't be tied down for 15-20 minutes... I highly recommend and I will be here regularly whenever I have a hankering for delicious Korean fried chicken. Totally worth it and check out their website ahead of time! But because they also serve burgers, I think a comparison to Roy Rogers is more appropriate (minus the fixin's bar I really liked). (Side note: There are no more Roy Rogers in New York State, they're only in Mid-Atlantic states at this point). The restaurant is tiny, with about 5 booths and a few small tables, but when I came in for lunch, it was immaculate. My first meal here was a chicken combo, spicy, with cole slaw. I really like their chicken; their spicy chicken has exactly the right amount of heat and flavor that I want. It's also extra, extra, crispy. I feel sorry for those who have to clean up after anyone who eats in, because there will be lots of batter flakes all over the place. And there's no sporks, it's all plastic forks, knives, and spoons. And now, for the picky stuff: You get a slightly larger amount of cole slaw than at similar restaurants. But the chop is finer, and there's more mayonnaise, so for me, it was too mushy. I probably won't order it again, instead I'll check out other sides. The biscuit was fluffy and less salty than at other places, but it was slightly dry, probably having been under a heat lamp for a while. The combo includes a fountain drink, from a smaller, older-style Coke dispenser for which there are only 6 options, one of them being sweetened iced tea. Unsweetened ice tea was not available as far as I could tell, so if that's true, your only unsweetened option is water, out of the dispenser or bottled. I found it amusing to see, in big letters under the counter, "We cook fresh all day," with about 3 dozen pieces of chicken under heat lamps in the back. Just how often during the day do you cook fresh? The bathroom was clean, but the dispensers were out of soap and paper towels. This is not a good thing for a place serving fried chicken. And it was only about 75 minutes into the day when I was there, I would find it hard to believe it was all used up in 75 minutes. More likely, it was never restocked at the start of the business day. C'mon, you can do better. This is easy to fix. I'll definitely be back if only for the chicken, but I do intend to try the burgers and also the other sides. If those are as good as the chicken, and the beverage and bathroom stuff gets better, I'll add more stars to a revised review for sure.
