There isn't a decent Smashburger within 50 miles of Pasadena Maryland. So I ordered one, this is where I will go from now on anytime I wanna go get a burger. I thought the drink was expensive at $2.89. Everything together was $34. A little expensive, but so far I'm really happy with the purchase.

Every single person in the restaurant greeted us as soon as we walked in. Our server Nick was kind, professional, and personable. He recommended the boudin balls as an appetizer and we also ordered the deviled eggs, and both were phenomenal. I also had the Fig Fizz cocktail which had a great balanced, fresh flavor. I had the seared tuna special which was light and fresh with a flavorful pineapple salsa. The peach bread pudding was the real star of the show, it felt like a warm hug! Overall the food, service, and ambience were all 10/10. Meredith the owner checked on us and was very present, it is clear she puts a lot of care and effort into her business. We will definitely be returning!

We visited for the first time last night, Friday June 12,2026 @ 8pm. Based on all of the great…read morereviews I thought we were in for a treat. We were sat pretty quickly & our waitress was great. But half way through she handed us over to the bartender, who just seemed inconvenienced that we were there. My husband had just finished a beer when she took over (which was in a can, not a tap beer), she asked if he wanted another, he said yes, and brought some draught beer that definitely wasn't what he was drinking. We are very easy going, so that wasn't even the end of the world. But she wasn't very friendly so we just went with it. The food. We ordered rockfish bites for an app, chicken pot pie, bacon wrapped shrimp & Mac & cheese. I will say, everything came out quickly. Rockfish bites: Not only were they bland & salt-less, but not all of them were cooked all the way through. The bacon-wrapped shrimp were ok, but cold in spots. The chicken pot pie: This is the reason I came. Certainly you can't mess this up, seeing how my favorite pot pie is from KFC. My standards aren't that high. I wish I could add a photo to a low review. I've never seen the inside of a pot pie that was dark gray. It didn't look appetizing at all, but it's a pot pie so I'm not basing anything on appearance. Once I took a bite I realized that it was gray because there was SO MUCH ground thyme in it. Like they dumped a whole jar in there. It wasn't even edible. The Mac & cheese was really good, I wish I had just ordered that. Before you reply that we should have said something, we already felt like we were an inconvenience to the bartender & she didn't even care enough to serve the same beer that was originally ordered. We didn't even want to deal with her. So we chalked it up as a loss. Of over $100. This place is so cute, we really loved the ambiance & wanted to love the food. We definitely won't be back, but I don't think it's going to be around much longer anyway.

I hate to admit it, but it was actually fresher and better than Popeyes! What really made the experience special was the exceptional service we received from the owner/manager. As an Asian person who handles spice well, I found the medium and hot levels very bearable, so I will definitely have to challenge myself with the "HANGRY HOT" next time. I placed an order online which was quick and easy. I always love when businesses give you the options to adjust your ice or add sauces. So the website is a great design if you are looking to make a quick order to pick up. I set my pick up for noon. I got there a little early and checked my email where there was an email from RC that had a link you could push to let them know you were there, as I was a few minutes early, so I did that. Probably 2 minutes later, a very friendly server brought my food out to me (kudos to her!) I selected this method because I thought the drive thru would be crazy, but it was more the business on the inside! So I will do drive thru if I get it again. Now to the food. The tenders were a nice size and crunchy. I was expecting big things out of the sauce.....I can't say I was wowed, but it was ok. The bread was magnificent....really loved the flavor! I don't eat it much, so the tenderloins and bread for the win! The fries I thought were ordinary. They need some salt. I appreciate why maybe they don't salt them, but a hint would be good. Wasn't a fan of their cole slaw. I like shredded, stringy slaw and this was a little too coarse for me and I felt it needed some different flavors. It just was blah and I would not get it again. The price was fair and compared to Chick fil A down the street, comparative but way more food. So that was a win. I really enjoyed the tenderloins and the bread. I really would order just that and grab some other sauce I like.

I swear i would have made a health inspector report but the amount of steps needed is not worth it. I ordered Chicken over rice, chicken quesadilla, chicken tenders, gyro platter (substituted lamb for grilled chicken), and a 12" meat lovers pizza. The chicken over rice was basic and lacking in flavor. The tenders were bland and not seasoned. The gyro platter also lacked seasoning and flavor. The sauces provided were spoiled. The pizza was worse than a frozen DiGiorno option. The chicken quesadilla is what got me sick. It had a terrible taste, like if the chicken was not properly handled or like it was cross-contaminated with oil used to cook fish. Overall i would give zero stars and urge their kitchen get inspected.

We've been driving past Dave's Hot Chicken since it opened, as one of Jeremy's best friends lives in Pasadena. And I've been curious how it compares to Hangry Joe's (which I LOVE). We finally had the chance to try Dave's Hot Chicken yesterday while we were on our way to a job for Jeremy's new mobile auto repair business. And it was INCREDIBLE. You can choose your spice level. I went with HOT, which is in the middle of the scale, and they weren't kidding. It was actually hot! My faith in my tastebuds was restored! I was ever-so-grateful for the cooling power of Dave's Sauce (which is basically a delicious yumyum sauce) and the coleslaw. Im not a fan of dill pickles, but Jeremy happily devoured mine. The Dave's Sauce is also great on their fries, which are seasoned and crinkle cut. They're fantastic when they're freshly made. Jeremy got a sandwich as well, and some nuggets. He could not have been more delighted by the meal. Neither could I. Would absolutely recommend
