    All done. Great meal!

I'm a huge fan of Chick-fil-a for over 20 years, and I'm delighted they finally found their way to West Omaha. This one isn't quite as friendly and helpful as other locations I've been to over the years, but they're nice enough to suit me. And the food is always outstanding. Real chicken breast, cooked fresh, rather than bits and pieces of mystery meat like others serve. Love the waffle fries and yummy peach shakes, too. Another favorite is the chicken salad sandwich. It is the standard by which all other chicken salad is measured. In the chilly months, the chicken soup is a perfect accompaniment to a sandwich, but not hearty enough to have as the only item in the meal. They serve breakfast, but I haven't tried that yet and haven't seen reviews for it. To be aware of: ** They need to put a bit more effort into housekeeping. Even during relatively slow times, tables and floors need attention. ** There is a play area for kids. It must be a fun one because this place draws a lot of families, and parents in West Omaha seem to have some neighborhood rule *against* teaching their kids how to use a quieter voice inside, not climb on tables, etc. If rowdy kids delight your heart, this is the place for you.

Love that we finally get a Chick-Fil-A out West! We have literally been counting down the days until they opened and now they're here. I'm not crazy enough to camp out for their "First 100" but we were crazy enough to go eat there for dinner on opening day! We arrive shortly after 5pm on Thursday/Opening day. The drive through was cray cray, however, the inside wasn't as bad. From the time we walked through the doors until we ordered was about 7 minutes and the food came to our table in under 5 minutes. Also we were handed cookie samples while waiting in line and they are amazing! You could tell they were overstaffed for opening day which meant you probably bumped and tripped over at least one employee, BUT it also meant the tables were spotless, drinks were quickly refilled, and employees threw away our trash. Much like the service if a sit down restaurant! (Obviously that probably won't be how it is forever) Food was perfect, hot and delicious and everyone was friendly. Bathrooms were really clean as well (considering how busy it was) and there was no shortage of yummy sauces! The owner of this location, Stu, is a really nice guy so be sure to say hi to him. See you guys soon!

Most of our group had been to Cheddar's before, and we were all excited to try some new menu items. Overall, the food was a hit. The onion rings came out hot and fresh, the lemon pepper chicken was especially juicy, and the white fish ended up being another favorite at the table. That said, there were a few service missteps that took away from the experience. Two people in our group ordered the white fish blackened, but only one plate came out as requested--the other was pretty bland. When our server eventually checked in (a bit later than expected), we mentioned the mix-up. His response was pretty casual, something along the lines of there just being less spice, and he didn't offer to fix it or have it remade. We ended up just swapping a fillet between the two plates so each person had one blackened and one not. It worked, but it felt like something that should have been handled differently. There were also a few moments where drinks went empty for a while, and our server wasn't around much. At one point, a manager actually stepped in and refilled waters for the table, which we appreciated. Overall, the service felt very laid-back...but to the point where it came across like he didn't care. One bright spot worth mentioning: my salad came out before the meal with a lot more cheese on top than I expected. As I was picking some off onto a side plate, a manager happened to notice and stopped to ask if I'd prefer a new salad without cheese. I explained it wasn't a mistake, just more than I wanted, but I really appreciated the attention and the offer to make it right.

Suffice to say (before reading my long review) it was not on par with the L street location! The staff were definitely new and learning the menu, but that is to be expected any time a new place is freshly opened. Our server, Blake, was nice though and was learning fast. But with a few other servers, there was one thing that did not come about from being a server in a new restaurant. We were eating and could CLEARLY hear the staff around the corner talking loudly and cursing left and right. I am not a prude about language but it's just not something you see every day at a restaurant with families/kids dining. The size of the restaurant seems a little smaller than the L street location, too. That may be a psychosomatic thing when trying a different location of a place you know, but I definitely felt more cramped. The food is on par with the OG spot, so no complaints there. My usual is the bourbon glazed salmon with the cheesy broccoli on the side. So it was just as tasty as the other location, but I think I'll stick to the L street one mostly going forward.

They had some jazz playing on the overhead speakers but not too loud so you could hear the person you are with. They had a chandelier made of trumpets and trombones draped in carnival beads. We went just before 5 on a Saturday and it was not too full. It got quite busy by the time we left and I can see why! We usually do not get appetizers but I had to try the gumbo. I got the small so I could leave room for the meal. It was hot, and tasted very fresh and authentic. Our server, Alex, was very enthusiastic and quite knowledgeable about the many dishes they had. The hardest part for me was to choose what to get as everything sounded so good. I got the Andouille breaded red snapper, which was pan fried, served with a crawfish cream sauce, mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables (green beans and yellow squash). It looked as good as it tasted, which was incredible! My wife got a burger and fries which she said were also very good. We had to try the Beignets, which I haven't had in a very long time. They were hot and crispy, covered with a blanket of powered sugar, and served with a chocolate sauce and a whisky sauce. They were delicious and definitely reminded me of being back at Cafe du Monde in the French Quarter. We left full of some of the best food I had ever eaten, and felt like we were treated like family while we were there. This has quickly become my favorite restaurant in town and look forward to returning to try some of their other amazing looking food. If their other dishes are as good as what I just had, I will likely never want to go anywhere else.

It was disappointing to see another couple who arrived after us get served right away. The food was not bad and definitely tasted made to order, though the jambalaya was a little dry. The restaurant was pretty loud, which is expected. On a positive note, the server we ended up with was very nice. Overall, I will not be returning. Another frustrating issue was with the entrées: you cannot substitute mashed potatoes and grits as sides, with fries or something else that you actually enjoy eating, which was disappointing. This is something the owner may want to consider changing.

We're always on the lookout for truly kid-friendly places to eat, and this restaurant checked every box. First, I want to call out how clean everything was. You can tell they take a lot of pride in keeping the space spotless. When we went to grab a high chair, we noticed it was already clean and ready to go, complete with a disinfecting wipe and a plastic table mat for our son to use during his meal. I've honestly never seen a restaurant offer this level of thoughtfulness for parents before, and it really stood out. They also have a small play area for kids, which is such a rarity these days and was a huge plus for us. Our food came out quickly and exactly as ordered, and everything tasted fresh. We had the chicken sandwich meal along with the chicken nugget meals, and both were great. Lastly, the staff was just as amazing. Friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Great job to this location. We'll definitely be returning customers.

Since the salad was prepackaged, the chicken on top was cold. I wasn't expecting this, as I had ordered an extra chicken breast on top, which was hot! This was not a big deal, but unexpected. The solid tasted great! It was well mixed with plenty of apples aside from just the lettuce. There was a good amount of chicken on top, I probably didn't need a second piece! I was a bit surprised that this salad with extra chicken came out to about $17. This is a similar amount I would pay at a dine in restaurant, so it was a bit high in my opinion. I was also disappointed, as I've heard a lot about the famous berry salad at Chick-fil-A, and I looked at this on their menu online ahead of time, planning to order it today. I didn't see it advertised add this location's menu, and when I asked about it, the employee didn't know what I was talking about, but recommended this apple salad, which was also great. I wouldn't make this my go to spot for salads, but as far as fast food salads go it was fresh and tasted great! I do plan to come back for the berry salad, but we'll make sure to confirm. It is in stock at the location, I choose next!

We did arrive around 7 p.m., and the restaurant was busy, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt to start our journey. It took them about 8 minutes to clear an empty table we were standing by to get seated. I ended up cleaning it off with the towel they left because they cleared the table and then got distracted and didn't come back for several minutes. We ordered our food and drinks. The drinks came pretty quickly, which was nice. It took about 35 minutes for our meal to arrive after ordering, which was a bit much. Once we were done eating, we sat for about another 10 minutes waiting for our waitress. I will say the chicken was delicious, so at least the food was good. I was also frustrated with the crappy paper napkins; when you're eating fried chicken with your hands, those things are worthless and you go through way too many. Our dinner took about 85 minutes total. For ordering 12 pieces of chicken, some fries, and I few drinks, that's crazy. As for the restaurant, they packed a few too many tables in. You basically walk into a table when you come through the door. There is also no sidewalk on one side as they blocked it off for outdoor seating. This means you are walking through a parking lot to enter from that side. There is also no blocked-off space to get into the restaurant, so you are squeezing between parked cars. Not the most well-thought-out situation. There are plenty of TVs in the place, and the bar area looks nice. The beer and spirits selection looked like they covered the basics, but it's definitely not a craft cocktail or brew head type of place.

I'd maybe come back for the buffalo wings since they had a spice kick to them but the dryness got to me. The burger was also just okay, the bun was thin and almost soggy? But on Wednesday all burgers are $8 so maybe worth the stop for the deal. The ultimate nachos didn't have much flavor for how much was on top of them. Lots of cheese, they put all the spicy toppings on the side so you can personally control the heat levels which was nice. The lighting is a bit dimmer in there and if you're looking for a place to watch some sports they got lots of TVs and projectors so everyone can watch the game of their liking.
