I know for lunch you don't want long wait times. Our server was so great. She was very nice, attentive and friendly. Been here and the Lewiston location and always had good food. Still the same. Our food was delicious. Very nice portion sizes as well. We started off with the burnt ends.. YUM. The smoke flavor definitely came through and it came with some pickleld veggies and cucumbers, it was fresh and tasty. I went with the crab and corn chowder with the bourbon jam burger and fries. Also at the table was a basket of fried shrimp, and the chicken waffles. First let me say their seasoned fries are absolutely amazing. Fried perfect and when they call them seasoned, that they are in a great way! My crab and corn chowder was tasty. I could used bit more crab but that didn't take away from it tasting good. My burger was cooked as I liked. I wish the bacon jam to blue cheese ratio were a bit better. I had way more blue cheese than bacon jam so it was a bit over powering to where I couldn't even taste the bacon jam..but again the flavor and cook was great. I didn't taste the other food items but they looked great and who did eat them said they were good

It's definitely a good sign when the locals love the food. My daughters both wanted the chicken shwarma items, but we added the beef donair after reading something on the wall about the Halifax donair being a Canadian thing. Did I mention we were tourists? The chicken shwarma dishes were delicious and flavorful. The salad that came with the plate had a light dressing, and for me, it had a unique slightly-sweet taste. The fries were perfectly fried, and the hummus and pickles finished out the plate. The beef was also delicious. I preferred the chicken but my daughter preferred the beef. Like the salad, the rice had a slightly sweet hint to it - I've never tasted something like this and enjoyed its unique subtle taste. All the flavors of the dishes came together beautifully. When I asked my older daughter what her favorite thing was about our trip to Niagara Falls, she said the food!

You pay a flat fee of $40 for bread that is baked at the schools bakery, an appetizer of your choosing, an entree of your choosing, and also a dessert. This time I had some sort of sausage ball for my app, steak frites which was a special for my entree, and the chocolate raspberry tart. I would get everything again. The server even asked if we were celebrating anything special, and we just said that I was back in town and they wrote Welcome Home on my dessert plate! Such a special touch that will stick with me.

The bathroom was my favorite feature with the long jetted tub! The tiling was done very nicely, especially the accents in the shower / tub. I took a nice, long, hot bath that night. So good! Dinner that night was delicious. Photos included of the ribeye steak that was ordered medium. It was medium with a few medium-well parts on the edges. One bite was medium-medium-rare which my hubby actually loved. He ordered medium so that I will try a bite or two. I enjoyed the med-well pieces. I think it was the first time that we had a steak cooked to three different temps. . . but, we enjoyed it nonetheless! Breakfast was great. The first morning, we ordered two entrees and sides with coffee which was all included with our breakfast tickets minus one side. We didn't mind paying for the extra side as it allowed us to add a tip to our server. She was amazing! The next morning, however, our server said that the breakfast tickets did not include any sides at all. We ordered our entrees and drinks. Hubby got coffee, as usual. I asked for the tea again - hot tea, please. Our server arrived with a cup of Lipton tea. Oh no. Both times I asked for hot tea, the servers brought out hot water, a tea cup, and box of tea bags for me to choose from. Lipton was never an option, so I was quite disappointed in that. My husband kindly mentioned this and that I'd prefer an herbal tea, if they had any available. The server explained and then brought out a new cup with hot water and allowed me to choose my tea bag from the wooden box. Whew. Now I know to ask for the tea box and/or an herbal tea. lol I sat at the bar once waiting for my hubby. I had a nice conversation with the bartender and learned a lot about the area. I had asked about the cool looking center next door which was obviously closed and abandoned. Such a shame. Looked like a place my son would have loved to visit!
