Having lived in Atlanta for 30 years, I was well acquainted with Chick-fil-A. When they opened in NYC not all that long ago, lines were out the door. Walking past Macys on the way to Penn Station, I was surprised to see a bright, clean shop, with barely a soul inside. It was 8:45 and we hadn't eaten breakfast, so we ventured in. Years past we took road trips with my pup, and had no choice but to eat in the car. We often stopped at Chick-Fil-A for chicken biscuits, which, regardless of location, were inevitably disappointing. Which brings me to W. 34th Street. With low expectations, I was pleasantly surprised. Chicken was juicy, biscuit flakey, little potato-thingies crisp, and coffee just right. I stopped by to pick up a Code Moo game prize of 5 Chick-fil-A nuggets. Unsurprisingly on a weekend evening, the restaurant was packed and bustling -- despite plenty of seating. After accidentally going to a different location a few blocks away to pick up our orders, the employees here kindly gave us our orders after we asked if our orders were ready. They also included an extra barbecue sauce in my bag, which was nice. What I enjoy about their nuggets is that they're not heavily breaded and they're flavorful even without the sauce. They had several attendants standing by the line to take people's orders and so all we had to do was pick up at the front. I took my item to go. The only problem I have with Chick fil A is that they're closed on Sunday. I usually like to go out for early Sunday morning breakfast. Can't pass up a Chick-fil-A when I'm with my daughter. We were on our way home and stopped in to take home a light brunch. I had my usual sausage biscuit and she has her usual chicken biscuit. It's a typical customer service experience. We don't expect anything else. It's clean with inexpensive eats. If you love Chick fil A this is as good a location as any. My photos do make my mouth water!! This location must be new! It was crowded when I was there on a Saturday night. The place was bright and clean. The staffs were great and generous with sauces on the side, unlike other fast food places. I had their grilled nuggets, chicken strips, and Mac n cheese. They were all delicious! So glad that Chick-fil-A finally have a location in Herald Square! read more

Been here a few times and every experience is mixed. The food is okay, but it's been getting worse as time goes on. Today's sando was cold and unusually salty. Even with lettuce, tomatoes and mayo it was still salty. Over the past 4 visits, it has been cold or room temp food, selectively polite staff, and dining area cleaners who will sweep your feet if you let them. In the future I'll go to one of the other locations nearby if I have a craving. read more

I visited this chic fil a the day before Christmas Eve alone since I had to double park and wait in the car while my family shopped. Safe to say that the run into chic fil a was worth the risk of a possible ticket! Around 9a, there wasn't a lot of customers so I was able to order upon walking up to the register. The older gentleman was super nice and pleasant. Food came out literally within a minute and I was able to get right back to my car in time. But there was more than enough space and seating area to dine in if I wanted. The establishment was also clean and bright/well lit. I especially liked the clear separation between pick up and orders. I am not a huge fan of fast food, but the service at this particular restaurant, the quality of people they have greeting you, taking your order, and serving you is so high, that I am compelled to give four stars, rather than my typical two or three for a fast food restaurant. The food is good, a few pleasant surprises like the kale salad as an option instead of french fries. Their sauces are all quite tasty and unique. The Chick-fil-A honey mustard dipping sauce has almost a hint of horseradish, the sweet and sour sauce has a plum finish and their original sauce is delightful. They are efficient and strive to be helpful. This particular store is located by Penn Station and Madison Square Garden and it is a place I would not hesitate to come to again. read more

What I got was a Coke, a chicken sandwich and a Large Mac N Cheese - No waffle fries at all. How they interpreted a #2 Spicy Deluxe to mean 'gimme a huge mac n cheese instead of the fries but charge me anyway' I have no idea. I found out they're a franchised location - not part of the main Chic Fil A, so calling CFA headquarters was no help. No one has a phone number for this location so I couldn't even give feedback using the CFA website. I was in a hurry when I ordered, like most people in a train station. Do I feel like I was scammed? This review is mainly about the service and food preparation. I don't know what happens in this location that always they make the order wrong or portions are smaller than ordered. Large fries are always half empty, sauce is always less than requested, sandwiches missing one or more ingredients. I usually give this restaurant and try and again, I'm upset at myself for trying one more time. was in the west side area by Macy's and a new chick fil a has opened so i think i will grab a chicken hashbrown bowl , hash browns and a large sweet tea for breakfast . the chick chain is famous for having friendly staff members and this location continues the pattern. my wait was less then 5 minutes and plenty of seating means i can enjoy my breakfast and the free wifi. the lunch menu is chick standard with the spicy grill chicken sandwich and mac and cheese my favorite. glad i was in the area this morning . read more
