Back to getting around to alphabet series for in town runner-ups. Letter C representing 2021 was in Madison, WI, and like the 2021 runner-up A is for Aldi, C is for Chick Fil-A is also in Corridor Marketplace. My last 3 of 5 reviews are in this huge shopping center as I reviewed Catherine's restaurant from my recent visit; see my Thursday, 4/9 3-star of them. I've been living in Russett for 5.5 years and have been going to this Chick Fil-A sometimes. In fact, I went yesterday for lunch! I had a free sandwich & free brownie and bought medium waffle fries. That's one of the positives of CFA in general is the company & even this specific location will try freebies my way. I generally buy something to be nice. They will throw a free breakfast sandwich. I'll add egg (& sometimes cheese too) to the free chicken biscuit to bulk it up a bit. Very rare I've taken the time to buy a chicken biscuit; almost always get on the freebie. Generally, I'm by far the most likely to go at lunch, much less common at dinner. In 2021 I used to go to CFA more frequently as I like the customer service & food. However, in more recent years I've shyed away from CFA due to health consideration. While the CFA sandwich is delicious, there are a lot of random ingredients, which is a bit unsettling. So, that is a consideration. It's tasty, but can be dry in the middle. I got the grilled chicken sandwich before, but it's pretty bland. I've gotten salads before, but they are kind of overpriced for what you get. If I'm getting a salad, I'm far more likely to go to the Panera here in Corridor Marketplace. I've gotten the nuggets but generally do if it's free. Unlike the grilled chicken sandwich, the grilled nuggets are decent, but still the fried nuggets are superior. Also, their new mac n' cheese is surprisingly good too. Even when they are busy, they are efficient getting orders through both in the restaurant & the drive-thru. A bit of a negative is that CFA drive-thru causes some extra traffic on the shopping center road, but it shows it's a popular option. I visited this location at least once prior to living in Russett. On December 31, 2019, I was at my office in Columbia and had work travel to DC that afternoon. Normally, I would never take 295 and just take 95 down to 495 to 295 into DC, but Starbucks was running a promotion for a free drink at select locations for last few days of 2019. I saw on 12/31/19, the Starbucks next door was on the list, and I was like I'll go 95 to 32 to 295 to get to DC with the stop off MD-198 to get the free Starbucks. That day I had Chick Fil-A for lunch getting the chicken sandwich & chicken noodle soup as I was recovering from a cold. Their soup isn't great but ok, I'd recommend Panera in the same center for soup. I went to my local CFA with my girlfriend a couple of times. It's an easy and cheap option, but I'm far more likely to have CFA for lunch on my own when working from home on a weekday. The couple of times with my girlfriend were on Memorial Day Monday 2025 and another Saturday in 2025. Never on a Sunday as everyone famously knows They're Closed!...so Don't even think about going there on a Sunday, or you will be sorely disappointed. A former coworker in 2012 commented how he never gets CFA because every time he's craving CFA, it's a Sunday. Another noteworthy time I went was in January 2023 on a 2nd date. I wanted to go cheap as she was kind of annoying on the 1st date but she seemed interested in me, and she was a nice person, and I wanted to invite her to my place for whatever picking a cheap restaurant close to my home. Ultimately, in baseball terms, it was a 2B situation, and I didn't have any heart to pursing a 3rd date after all as it wasn't going anywhere anyway. Also, their Peppermint Shake during the holiday season is great! I try to get once a year. Their sweet tea & lemonade is solid too. In summary, Chick Fil-A has a nice staff. The food is mostly good with their yummy chicken sandwiches, chicken biscuits, & waffle fries. Salads are good. Some items are a bit weaker but nothing is bad. Also, the mac n' cheese is pretty solid. I used to get the yogurt parfait which was good, but it was a ripoff at some point in 2020's, so I stopped. Early 2020's, I ate there more, but a big negative by 2022 was that I needed to lose weight, and Chick Fil-A is pretty unhealthy with all the random ingredients, but it's still more good than bad considering great tasting food & nice staff. read more

Just look at this salad I ordered through drive thru. After putting my dressing on, I went to mix it up and the majority of the lettuce at the bottom was brown. Like seriously! Who's doing quality control. I normally have no issues at chick fil A, but this is just nasty. I tossed it. Yuck. read more

This place is busy and hard to get into. Well, the drive thru line. I've been here a few times as of lately since the CFA closest to me is currently being renovated. This shopping center is very busy. There's Total Wine, Panera, Hobby Lobby, & Pizza, and Target. Just to name a few! I placed a mobile order. Arrived a few minutes later. The line was long during lunch hours, but it moved quickly. Service was good. My order was correct (not always the case these days) and my food tasted fresh! read more

I LOVE coming to this location. I do DoorDash and every time I walk into this establishment every single staff member is extremely friendly and attentive.. The restaurant is clean. The orders are always right.! Ms Dawny the manager is an incredible woman always smiling always happy. The food is always hot and fresh.. Not a huge fan of this location because of the drive thru. When it gets busy which is often, the cars from the drive thru line will be out in the road. This causes tons of congestion for everyone who is driving around this shopping area. Despite that they have always gotten my order right and have had friendly service. read more

Usually Chick-fil-A is on point, but I visited yesterday during an off time (around 2:30 PM) and although there was no line in the drive-thru, the food I received was room temperature, which was super disappointing. I also didn't receive any sauces. The lemonade was great at least! The service, as always, was stellar. read more

I have always patronized this place with no serious issues until an experience today that showed a poor sense of managerial capability of the shift manager Fatimah. The manager was rude and lacked conflict resolution skills in a matter that involved her staff's failure to properly manage traffic inflow into drive-through. I believe the Chic-fil-a at Corridor Marketplace can do better than the type of nasty, arrogant, and unprofessional shift manager like Fatimah. read more

Ate inside this Chick-fil-a location. Had tenders and fries with Hawaiian Punch. Such fun. I ordered a lemonade and fries to go. Server delivered my fries but forgot the drink. I didn't realize until later and went back for my drink and hot fries. Got my order with no fuss. Terrific. read more

I let the young lady, who was standing by the menu board, know that my order was placed online. She thanked me and I moved right along to the pickup window to get my food. Very busy during peak time come with patience. The food is excellent asa usual and the service is pretty great. It's not your largest location so it can get a little crowded at times. It's located right off 295 in Laurel so it's very convenient to access and parking is plentiful in a shopping center. read more

I have never given Chic-fil-A a bad review, and I could never have imagined that I ever would. I still am wondering if it was all a bad dream. The first thing I noticed was that they have a large portion of the seating area cordoned off into office cubicles. A customer must pass them on the way to the bathroom, and even worse, they are messy. And that's just the beginning. One of the two available women's bathroom stalls was unusable and disgusting. There were several empty tables, but all of them were dirty. I looked everywhere for a wipe to clean my own table, but I didn't see any. At least two employees saw me wiping my own table and kept walking. The play area is still closed due to COVID and is also being used for storage. Customer service was surprisingly un Chick-fil-A like. There were no smiles, no "my pleasure," no pleasantries whatsoever. The food was fine, but the nuggets were just a little burnt, which was a huge surprise to me. The condiments area was almost completely barren-- literally no plastic ware, straws, ketchup, wipes... I honestly can't remember what they did have, but I know I walked away empty handed. Oh! Did I forget to mention the pervading smell of pot? From the blank stares of the one employee who stared right through me, I have a good idea who it might have been. I love Chick-fil-A. I love it so much, but THIS Chick-fil-A??? This is weird but like other Yelpers have experienced here. They also forgot my sauce. lol. I always ask for buffalo sauce for the waffle fries. Didn't noticed it until after I left. The employees here were very friendly and professional. The overall place was clean. It could have used a better sweeping under the chairs though. But still clean. The food was warm. The fries were nice and hot but most of the bottom of the box was broken fries in pieces. The sandwich was warm not hot like I like my food. But still nice & warm. All the toppings were excellent and fresh. I always discard the bread so can't comment on the bread. Overall a awesome Chick-Fil-A but as "Randy Quaid" said it in Vegas Vacation. I ordered two meals and one fries was missing and then there were pickles on my sandwich even though the box said "no pickles". When I looped it back around to correct my order they fail to add a fries. This Chick-fil-A is pretty amazing. While they are extremely busy my order was delivered to me before I got my change. My grandson does Chuck-fil-A every Friday while watching a movie. I am not a chain fan, but this was a good meal with excellent service. read more

The people are nice. The food is tasty. Depending upon who's working and the time of day, the service can be fairly fast. Their bathrooms are usually clean (we've never seen them not clean). For sure, the workers are very polite. Oh, and like just about everything else these past couple of years, it's pricey (you get what you pay for, right?). read more

I don't even know how many stars to give. The food and service is always great but today I picked up an order for 30 nuggets and 2 meals and they gave me NO SAUCE! Like....how do you give 30 nuggets and no sauce? I ordered through the app and requested numerous sauces. They asked that I pull to the side and said someone would bring my food out. This place is terrible... especially since the Contee Rd. location closed for repairs. My husband ordered our meals through the app under the impression that this particular location closed at 10 pm (like they always do). We arrived at 9:45 to locked doors and no answer at the drive thru. We saw workers not wanting to make eye contact. A worker comes out and my husband asks to receive his food... the worker calls out a "manager". When she explained what could have happened with the order, I understood what she was saying. What I did not like was her TONE and her yelling at us. She said "well today we closed at 9 o'clock cuz this is an independent location so y'all not gon get y'all food til we open again" I told her she needed to watch her tone and then this fool tried to bring out an entourage to "let us know what's up". What makes it worse? There were people pulling up behind us as they were waiting on their food as well. Smdh. A hot mess. This place is one word: GHETTO. The layout of the drive-thru is absolutely ridiculous. Such a hazard when cars are parked in drive thru but in the middle of the street. I understand that Chick-fil-A is a popular restaurant however this particular location is not parking lot friendly. They allow their customers to cram up the shopping center parking lot and block byways. The staff should properly redirect the traffic to come from one direction like many of the other Chick -fil-a locations. read more

I've been eating CF for 20+ years and this was the worst lunch I've ever had from them . Walked in , place was busy , ordered #1 lunch without a pickle and ice tea . Get back in my car and drive across the street in the Total Wine parking lot to eat . My sandwich is Luke warm WITH a PICKLE ( which I hate ) the roll was semi fresh , the fries were under cooked and BARELY warm ! I was so pissed off but didn't have time to go back over . I'm spoiled by my local Chick-fil-A and foolishly assumed that stellar service would transfer to my visit at this location. At lunch time it is definitely a challenge to enter the parking lot to go in as drivers will block the entrance as they are entering the line for the drive thru. My strongest recommendation is to use their app. It's legit! It will allow mobile ordering and when you get there its feature will prompt you to let the store know that you're present. Very often the drive thru is jam packed and very few people inside. On this occasion I wanted to try the chicken noodle soup so I placed a mobile order and still had to wait when I arrived. The temperature of the soup could have been hotter but it was good and filled the void. The crew here didn't have that "synergy" that most have. They seemed to be bumping into one another and trying to figure things out. If this were a new location opening I'd understand but not the case. Pay by phones options are accepted, private parking lot and they do try to manage the drive thru lanes by having employees come out to help manage ordering. read more

My friend and I went through the drive through. The staff actively ignored my order and didn't confirm the contents, so I was unsurprised when they handed us the bag with only his order in it. I went in to get my order and asked specifically for my shake with no toppings, but was still given a shake with whipped cream. Behind the register, the staff were removing their masks to drink something. When I got my food and returned to the car, my friend informed me they'd given him sweetened coffee (he'd asked for black coffee), and they'd put pickles on his sandwich (he'd asked for no pickles). Y'all. Chick-fil-a is bae. The food is always good. As for this location, it gets busy just like all other locations. I usually don't even bother with the drive thru and always go inside to order. The drive thru gets really crowded and blocks traffic on the street. The staff here is usually friendly and the restaurant is clean. Right now I'm loving the new watermelon mint lemonade and the BBQ bacon chicken sandwich. Yum!! read more

Poorly run Chick-fil-a, we walked in and floors were soaked and tables were everywhere and not a single worker had a smile on their face. Ordering was okay, but we asked for two dressings, and they were put on our receipt, but didn't receive them. We went back up to ask for them but were told there was an up-charge so we couldn't get them and it was only on our receipt because the cashier was in training. After arguing that we should receive the $0.25 dressing and willing to pay, the manager gave them to us and said "just this time because he is in training". However, if she was actually training him this would have been caught, and not the customers fault! As an employee at another Chick-fil-a, this would/should never fly especially coming from someone in a manager position. read more

The wife and I had to rush out to Alexandria around 9am on Saturday morning and we didn't have time to eat breakfast so we decided to hit up the Chick-Fil-A since it was on the way. Boy, were we sure glad we did! Service - If only I could be this friendly, nice, and efficient at 9am, especially on a Saturday. When was the last time you were in a drive thru and after placing your order were told, "I hope you have a wonderful weekend!"? And no, there were no [sarcasm] brackets around that. What a wonderful way to start off the day! Food - I usually get the chicken biscuit meal ($4) w/ OJ + tots. The biscuit is crisp and slightly buttery on the outside; soft and chewy on the inside. The chicken breast is slightly smaller than those they serve at lunch/dinner but it's perfectly fried and incredibly tasty. I ordered it w/ an egg this time but I totally shouldn't have - it's liquid egg product and it's so thin, it looks like a slice of cheese. Ask for the honey roasted BBQ sauce b/c it is such a perfect fit w/ the sandwich. The tots are similar to Burger King's tot coins. My wife got the breakfast burrito w/ chicken ($4) w/ a fruit cup ($1) and OJ - she liked it a lot and it was very easy to eat in the car. You can also get a sausage biscuit or burrito - odd considering you have a giant cow just above you telling you to Eat Mor Chikin! If you're in a hurry and need some breakfast, this is THE Chick-Fil-A to go to! Note: Breakfast is served until 10:30a.m. daily. And per Chick-Fil-A policy, they are closed on Sundays. read more
