The parking lot is trash. This has to be one of the most horribly planned lots. Not to mention service is slow and the food tastes weird.

I love spicy food. Spent 30 years of my life in TX and NM. Then moved to West TN. So I have had…read moresome Hot Chicken and really spicy food. We ordered three meals. Light, Dark and naked wings. I will start with sides. The greens, better than I ever had including AL, MS, LA and TN. Slaw was classic LA. Good, I am vinger slaw guy. Now for the chicken. First and foremost the medium is no joke HOT. Anyone can make something hot. But the flavor of the hotness is world class. Whatever they do, (brine whatever) the flavor is deep in the meat, including the breast. Absolutely fantastic. My only advice is if you find a raw jalapeno to hot, go one level down in spice. Unless you can set an eat raw Serranos, don't pay .$50 to go spicier. Who would have thought, amazing hot chicken, Indy.

The…read moreother four people I was with got "medium" and "medium plus" (they are hot sauce / heat lovers) and they all hated the food. It honestly hurt to see all that chicken go directly into the garbage, but they claim it was inedible. Since it's not a saucy type of flavoring, but a dry rub, they said that the heat was painful, and not flavorful. Back to the sandwich I enjoyed... I felt that there was a sweetness to the flavor that I liked, which I could see not everyone enjoying. There is also a hot dusting over the french fries which exacerbates any discomfort people are having from the heat. There really wasn't anything to cool it down. The macaroni and cheese was piping hot, although not spicy.

The place is a family…read moreowned and operated neighborhood greasy spoon that's been serving fried chicken and fish for ten years. The aging strip mall has seen better days. The parking lot is a mess and the sidewalks are crumbling. Chris is a small hole in the wall place, not fancy or upscale, but the food is amazing and Chris' family is welcoming and genuine. The menu hangs above cases of fried chicken, fish and potato wedges. Gizzards are a popular menu item. Chris takes your order. My husband wants a 3-piece chicken meal with cole slaw. I select a Buffalo chicken wrap that comes with fries. Ricardo, Chris' son, comes out and asks how spicy hot I want my chicken and I ask for mild. Wow, what great service! They tell us to grab some drinks and have a seat. The dining area is small with three or four tables that seat two. Most people come in for carry out. Chris laughs and jokes with a customer in Spanish as he cooks. I sip mango nectar. My husband's 3-piece meal has four pieces of fried chicken with a cup of cole slaw. The chicken is hot, crispy and moist, not too salty, perfect. The fried batter is thick and flavorful. This is great fried chicken. The slaw is finely chopped and creamy. My wrap with fries comes out on a beautiful white platter. The wrap is huge, and the chicken fresh, hot and moist with lots of crispy lettuce. The fries are batter fried and fresh. The portions are generous. My meal was delicious. Ricardo and his sister checked on us a couple times, thanked us for coming and told us their story. I felt like family. The food is easy 5 stars, as is the service. I'll be back. I want to try the fish next.

Now this tray was a bit more expensive than a cup of fruit from some other places, but that's OK because the fruit was ripe and flavorful and well worth it. It's good to change-up the expected every now and then. I will definitely re-order it again. I;m looking forward to another visit real soon. I haven't tried the Bananas Foster Waffle yet but it looks completely over the top and crazy with a scoop of vanilla ice cream that appeared to me to be the size of a softball as I was hypnotized by it and trapped in its vortex of apparent deliciousness, Sadly it was ordered and delivered to another table. My only nit-pic would be that the chef work on the scrambled eggs a bit more and not too cook them longer, but cook them slower so they come out fluffier, moist, and without any browning on the underside. A chopped up omelet is not scrambled eggs. The eggs were still good but there was room for improvement here. I realize the chef is trying to get food out as quickly as possible, and its easy to let scrambled eggs go too long on the heat, so maybe I'll mention it to the wait staff that the eggs do not need to be hurried. The wait staff was prompt and attentive, and the various style of PJ's were a nice touch. The front of house is kind of big so noise can be an issue but it wasn't terrible on my most recent visit with the dining room about 3/4 full. If the restaurant got enough complaints about the noise levels, it would be pretty easy to fix with some strategically placed sound abatement materials to cut down the noise level even further in the dining room.
