It was clean inside, bathrooms were freezing and the inside itself was small. The parking sucked and for handicapped people would not be good at all. They did have a ramp but no close handicap places so we had to walk across a very slippery parking lot. The parking was very limited. This alone would not be a reason for returning. The mushrooms were huge and lightly breaded. They were good but I would prefer the smaller size. Personal preference and again they were good. The Reuben sandwich was very good (husband had it) and up sized to fries which were also good. I had the pot roast sandwich with waffle chips. The sandwich was amazing (I added onions & gr peppers). The waffle fries were evidently the bottom of the bag because they were all small pieces which I couldn't even hold onto to dip in the French onion dip which I paid extra for. The wet burrito was very good (son in law had this). The pasta carbonara was not good (daughter had) and the garlic bread came with a large black hair across it. The employees were very apologetic and of course by the time she got her new pasta we were all done eating & freezing. It was her birthday meal so it was disappointing. They did comp her meal so there is that. All in all it was good not great and did I mention FREEZING? The server was very slow in coming around and we had to track her down to get our check. She was pleasant as were the other employees we came into contact with. Because of location & parking we will not return but the sandwiches would be worth it if it were not for that.

I called ahead to make sure they were open, but they are closed on Tuesdays starting July 2025. I arrived right after 11 am and the front doors were still locked, but someone came and opened them up. The dining room is large and bright, and I was the only customer there the whole time. They have a daily lunch buffet from 11 am-3 pm, so I decided to try that out first. The buffet had tandoori chicken, aloo matar, chicken biryani, chicken curry, eggplant curry, gulub jamun, chicken nuggets, fries, and some salads and sauces. I got a little bit of most things - I loved the aloo matar (potatoes and peas) and the chicken curry, but everything was hot and fresh. I decided to order the matar paneer to try as well - this is one of Nate's favorite dishes, while I usually get butter chicken. The dish was piping hot and served with rice. The sauce was not as thick as I've had before, but it was very flavorful and savory, and the medium spice level was pretty mild for me. I really liked this and would love to try their butter chicken next time. Service was good, but again I was the only person in the restaurant. There was only one employee that I saw tending to the buffet and serving me. Tandoori Hut is pretty far from my house but I'd come back for the buffet. I paid $14.99 for the lunch buffet, which I think was a very fair price.

The buffet closed today at 3pm, noted to get there a bit early when the trays are brimming. Food…read morefrom the menu was carefully chosen and delicious.

Just 10 minutes down the road is a relatively new looking building where I was greeted by a hostess that took my order at the front and brought the food out to where I sat down (similar to Culver's). I found a clean looking table and admired the open kitchen, where I could watch employees assemble my order of all you can eat snackers, Olga's salad, and peasant soup for $10.99. If you've never eaten at Olga's before, the snackers are a must. They are delicious triangular wedges of Olga bread that are seasoned with paprika and other yummy spices and served with a heavenly soft almond Swiss cheese mix for dipping. The Olga salad is mainly iceberg lettuce, but the dressing and toppings are top notch. I appreciate the Kalamata olives and onions. The choice of soup was broccoli cheddar or peasant soup. I enjoyed the peasant soup, a mix of ground beef and lamb in a tomato based broth with vegetables mixed in. However, the snackers are, and always will be, the star of the show. I washed it all down with a cup of water and the front even checked on me once to see if I needed a refill of any of the food items which I appreciated. Overall, this place was clean, well run, and the employees did a nice job. I'll definitely return the next time I'm working around NW GR.

And I absolutely love the drink options like the Hibiscus tea, etc. I got the trio and it little meat. It is on me that I picked the coconut rice again as it tastes great just too spicy for me. My friends and I decided to have a girls night here and was pleasantly surprised at the experience!…read moreThey truly do embody the "casual" environment and is very approachable. They have a smaller dining space, so a reservation is recommended (you have to call, no online option) but when we arrived, they were ready and seated us promptly! We each got some sort of steak, potato and veggie combo and it was all VERY delicious! They offer you complementary homemade bread (this did take a bit of time, but they were warm when they came out) and we easily devoured it! I will say that it was a little slower than anticipated, but still very good. I would hope the bread would come out sooner than our appetizers. I ordered the caesar salad (very large) and included bleu cheese which was not listed on the menu. I would definitely list that on the menu unless it was an accident? We got bleu cheese on the bruschetta which listed another cheese, so again, I do think that they need to disclose this. I like it but most do not! I also ordered the $29 steak deal, which for the size and meal, I am very happy with! I ordered it medium rare and it was cooked properly. More rare than medium, which is how I like it! I think I'd like to come back and try it again, but for a good steak meal, it's approachable without feeling like it's TOO casual with peanuts on the ground. Parking is available across the street, but you do have to cross West River Drive, which can be a lot, but cars were patient while we made our way across. I'll definitely be back!

We had a reservation, which is highly recommended as it's not a huge space. You do have to call to make a reservation. The space is cozy and not super fancy, which made it comfortable for a long girls' dinner with lots of catching up. Some of us started with salads and an appetizer. They also gave us some complimentary rolls and butter. My Caesar salad was fresh and tasty, and a large portion for a side, but it had a lot of blue cheese crumbles, which wasn't listed on the menu. I personally love blue cheese, so I didn't mind, but it's a pretty polarizing ingredient so it surprised me a bit. The bruschetta was a really big portion and very delicious. I liked the amount of topping and the bread help up nicely. This dish also had blue cheese crumbles on it when we tried it. The steak menu is interesting and varied, and I like that all the cuts come with a potato and vegetable side, which isn't typical at fancier places. I went with the 10 oz barrel cut filet with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and I also ordered a side of the mac and cheese. Our main courses took a little bit of time to come out, but I was pleased with the meal. My medium rare filet was definitely more on the rare side, but I didn't mind. The mac and cheese was tasty but the sauce was a bit broken. It also had peas in it... not listed on the menu and also kind of weird. I liked it though! We were interested in the dessert options, but it sounded like they haven't really rounded that out yet as they just had a couple cupcakes. Our server was very kind and helpful and pretty attentive. I think the value is great and it's a less stuffy, more casual option than Chop House (plus more affordable). I will definitely be back!
