this evening at about 6:45, I took my mother who is 84 to their drive through, at 2550 Alpine Avenue NW, in GR, MI, and to my shocking surprise, when I went to order, I kindly asked for the food to be made to order as the last time we went, the food was cold. The ingerfome lady began to yell at me through intercome asking me I is seriosly told her they and since she was yelling, I went to the window. She proceeded to tell me they don't sell cold food and that they were not going to make it to order. another said it would take 1/2 hour. I said, ok, but you can do the fries as I don't want to take cold food with, especially since it was my mom wanting to eat it. The pwrson says, "you don't have to come here." I asked her did you just tell me Indint have to come here? And she said yes, and shut the window in my face!!! "T," who claimed to be the manager was right there with her and allowed it. I remained thwee at called corporate but no one answered and about 10 min later, "T" opens the window and says, "maa'm, your gonna have to move as I have other customers waiting behind you." I opened my window and said to her I too was a customer and a paying one and did not appreciate how she allowed her staff to shut the window in my face, and she proceeded to say I was the one who had the attitude and told me, and then proceeded to say, "I am about to do it to you also." At the meantime, another colleague on the back told "T" that I was not the one being rude but her colleague was. "Tim" then said, " I am not going to argue with you" and shut the window in my face as well. Now that was twice in a row. I then went to a different Kentucky, reported it to a REAL manager, who was so emabarrased at "T's" behavior as well as the rest of the staff that he winded up giving me the same meal I was going to order (which never got to) absolutely free! He also gave me the direct number to their complaint department, and guess what...they're on it! So, I urge you to NOT visit Kentucky Fried Chicken on 2550 Alpine Ave NW as they are not customer friendly and have no type of people skills whatsoever!!! What a shame to have people like that working front of the house!!! I felt so bad for my poor 84 year old mom as all she wanted was to eat a warm meal as she is a diabetic!. HORRENDOUS business... my family and I came in through the drive through tonight for a $20 fill up with extra crispy... simple, right ? The girl on the speaker says : "Yeahhhh, actually we don't have any extra crispy right now and it will be 17 minutes before any is ready" Ok, 7:30ish on a Tuesday night and no chicken... odd but, maybe, it could happen. So we say : "Ok then, ......." and were cut off by the lady.... "Yeahhhhh, we do not have regular either and that will also be 17 minutes because we actually have not put anything in the fryer yet" WTF !?!?! Out of ALL chicken at 7:30pm on a Tuesday and running low didn't make them cook more and neither did running completely out... what kind of TERRIBLE management is going on here. I am literally at a loss to truly explain how insanely crazy this is and can only really come to one of 2 conclusions. There was some form of gas leak and all staff became mentally handicapped They are lazy and did not want to work so they just didn't cook anything. HORRIBLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just spoke to a manager named Carrie and she told me them not having chicken was "a complete lie"... not sure if she was saying I was lying or that her employee lied but, in either event, if her employees can tell people there is no chicken when there is and get away with it, SHE is not a good manager and not paying attention to her own crew. read more

I have made my last purchase at this location. I tried to order the grilled chicken. The cashier told me that they no longer sold the grilled chicken. To her knowledge the owner had dropped it at all his KFC franchises. The fat content of the grilled was significantly lower then the original or extra crispy. In this day if trying to eat healthier this is a very backwards step. read more

I showed up 5 minutes before close because my boyfriend REALLY wanted chicken tenders. The employees were fast and polite. When I got home I discovered they had given him FIVE extra chicken tenders and an extra side of mashed potatoes! I'm sure they assumed it was better than throwing them out but it was so thoughtful! I sat in drive-thru for about ten minutes for the girl at the window to misplace my order, give me attitude, dig around the bag to check the food (handling cash and hands all over my food, ick) and then didn't give me the drink I had ordered or the change due for the transaction. And then she called me racist for asking for my drink and change. Screw that. Better hospitality then most sit down restaurants on alpine!! We went there today at 6pm dinner rush was on. Every restaurant had a hr wait so we decided on kfc! So get there line is moving slow and I look in the kitchen and there where only 4 people working during dinner rush. They were doing a fantastic job for the amount of staff they had on hand! Get my food and am truly enjoying the new smokehouse bbq it's very very good. Then this older African American guy comes out to take out the dining room trash. This guy made my night! He took our trey and gathered every one else's was very kind and was making sure everyone was happy with there food. So I go back up to get a top and bag to go and the line is longer at this point. What do ya know here's that guy to my rescue!! Ask if he could help and went and got me a bag and a lid with a smile while doing all of his other work! I'll be going back to this location even if I'm closer to a different one! read more

Early in my pregnancy, I had gone through the drive through, but missed the signs for the specials so I asked the girl what they were. She proceeded to tell me that they were "right there on the sign" like I was an absolute moron. I was polite, but asked for a manager when I got to the window. The girl had the audacity to roll her eyes and say "oh. NOOOOWWW she wants a manager." When the manager came to the window, I was STILL polite. (Huge accomplishment, btw). And when I calmly explained the situation he said "well I don't know what you expect me to do" and walked. Away. I was absolutely floored. absolutely apathetic customer service, couldn't care if you came in or not. extra crispy chicken was SOFT.....under cooked. fries were cold. baked beans which once were excellent were dry like boston baked beans. no butter or honey for roll. what else can be said? obviously no corporate supervision. another franchise on my list of NEVER GO BACK TO.
