    Chicken Tortila Soup
    Jacqueline L.

Went here for the 1st time with my parents on Friday November 28th 2025. We were headed back home to SC from NY. So while traveling, we decided that we needed a place to eat some dinner since we ate nothing but snacks and breakfast. So we decided to stop at chic fil A. Now this was our first time at this location, but essentially, you've been to one location, you've been to them all! Chic-Fil-A is a chain franchise that sells chicken sandwiches and all things chicken, and in my experience it's fast food but fresher than competitors chickens. There are also tables and booths to sit at and eat your food. Anyways, we walked in, and there was a line actually-- but moved fast. Cashier was pleasant when taking the order- I had the chic-fil- A deluxe meal but instead of fries, I got the Chicken tortila soup in a bowl. For Soda i got Dr. Pepper. My mom got the chic fil a deluxe meal too with fries, and a market salad. For soda, she got Root Beer. My dad got the spicy chicken sandwich meal with cobb salad. He also got root beer. It was about 27.00 for our meals all together. paid via a credit card. Sat down at the tables to eat our meal. Our meal was brought over to us, on a tray. We immediately ate! Loved the chicken tortilla soup! spicy and very good! enjoyed my sandwich too. my parents also enjoyed their food and we also took some of our meals home with us, like our salads. Before leaving, we also used the restrooms, which were very clean. Highly recommend stopping here!

Sauce and a straw would have been nice.

This is the worst chick fil a I have ever experienced. Nothing like the speedy service I've become to expect from the franchise.

Terrible, disgustingly dirty, I literally can't believe a chick-fil-a looked like that. Dirty in the bathrooms and the eating area.

The fries come in a paper bag instead of a cup so you don't get as many fries. The burgers were tasty and pricy. The service was friendly and efficient. It's…read moretime for an in-depth honest review of this place and its quality of food, on THIS side, and, yes, if you are so inclined, go through my profile and read the reviews of the one I left in Carlsbad Commiefornia. Two stars, go exclusively to the employees/staff. These guys were hustlin and bustlin. Two guys behind the counter, and one guy on the floor cleaning his butt off. Needless to say, the place was immaculately clean, but to be fair, with their lack of clientele, I couldn't see how it wouldn't be. The two guys behind the counter, were super professional, and overall great guys. As a matter of fact if I lived here, I would be doing everything in my power to take them from this place and have them work for me!! So I ordered, a hamburger "all the way" which I feel completely silly to not only order something like that, but to have to physically say it, fries, which I was offered a Cajun flavoring, that I was never offered before on the West Coast. So of course I went with it. There was a very nice older lady behind me, so I paid my fountain drink forward and gave it to her. So this combo meal came to around 20 bucks. In my eyes, absolutely ridiculous. Now if you read my reviews, I'm not a Stifler. I have no problem dropping $400 or $500 on dinner, with a $100 bottle of wine. So I'm not some broke a** complaining about prices, but you have to compare prices to quality in the end. The fries were really good. That little Cajun seasoning gave it that extra kick that made them better than ordinary. I'm not too sure how much the fries would be without the seasoning, but I would be willing to bet $2 or $3 less. But I must commend the marketing on the CFOs of this place, to be able to charge $2 for a couple shakes of a spice that would cost literally 1/10 of 1 cent. Again, the burger, lackluster and lacking flavor. The cook was making it exactly how he was trained, just to be clear!! Outside of the mushrooms and onions and bun, there was really nothing that stood out. So in that sense from the other five guys I've been to, pretty similar. But to charge $10 for a hamburger, of that caliber, for lack of a better term it's just ridiculous, but people keep buying them, so five guys CEOs keep selling them. It's one of those "trendy" things, nah mean? So I can say that I've tried this place from coast to coast, and I will most likely never ever set foot in another one. The food quality just isn't there, and I can't justify spending 20 bucks on a burger and fries, when there's an all-you-can-eat buffet right next door for 15 bucks. I hope the manager reads this, because he really needs to take care of his employees. Those cats are top notch, and I even threw them a couple dollar tip!! Sorry 5 guys, I'll stick to In-N-Out and Burger King.

On that note, upon walking into this location my feet stuck to the floor. There was puddles of water around the floor and wet floor signs places on it. The trash cans were over running, the place smelled bad, the tables were nasty, the sauces were all thrown in with ketchup and all, the soda machine appeared as if it hasn't been cleaned in a year. This is all the beginning of just walking in. I went here thinking it could be horrible and it could be great. I was correct about the first one. I tried it anyway just to see. The restroom, just stay clear of it unless you want to possibly catch something. The building needs a serious upgrade of ppl, the building, and the management. The cashier was blasting loud music, talked low, and danced and sang while taking your order. Probably the reason that my order was wrong as I wanted no lettuce. The meat was pale looking and the cheese seemed to be old as well. My order was remade due to the wrong stuff and the manager seemed as if I had done wrong. I ate one taco and the rest went to the table to stay as I could not throw it away in the over flowing trash cans. They have a KFC attached to this one also, do not try them either. The chicken looked as if it had been fried in dark dark old grease. Food poisoning, hepatitis, or who knows what you may get coming here. This place needs some major help or they just need to shut the location down. This is the WORST Taco Bell I have ever been to. If you ever go through here, don't stop or do yourself the favor and go to Chick fil a across the way.

Two people were in line ahead of us, waiting to place their orders. We stood in line for approximately 15 minutes before someone started taking orders from those in the line. Once we got to the counter, I asked about the difference between a two-piece and a two-piece fill-up. The young man taking my order pointed to the stand on the floor and said, "It's right there." I said, "Ok, I see that, but what's the difference?" He explained that the only difference is that you get two "poppers." I had no clue what poppers were. However, I decided to get a regular two-piece. While waiting, I suppose the store manager told one of the three workers to lock all the doors and that they'd have to go behind each customer to lock the door back once they left. That was strange to me. Our order was finally placed at 6:45PM, and our number was called at 6:12PM. I don't understand why the wait was so long; they had plenty of chicken and constantly brought out trays of it to place in the warmer. We went up to the counter to pick up our food and stood there for 6 minutes, and I finally said very nicely, "Ma'am, did you call 3287"? She then looked at me, rolled her eyes, and rudely said, "I did." She then put the bag on the counter with a slight attitude. I didn't under that, but I let it slide. Maybe she was tired because she complained to another customer about having to drive back to Petersburg, VA, where she lives. I checked my order to ensure it was correct and left. This location was problematic before when I visited Emporia, but I decided to do a review this time. I can't see myself returning to this location. I'm willing to drive all the way to Roanoke Rapids, NC, 19 miles away, rather than return to this horribly managed and run location.

I was not sure I was in the right place until I saw the second door inside. I went in and stood by the checkout as there was no indication if it was seat yourself or wait to be seated. I just started walking to a booth and was then told to sit anywhere. The first booth I sat in was really dirty so I moved to another which was a little better. A sweet young girl took my drink order and said help yourself. That is how I learned it was the buffet only. No menu, no sign to tell you, no price posted. I wanted breakfast but had to eat what was there.....wish I had looked first and left... There was baked chicken, some kind of beef ( I think) and fried chicken. There was green beans, cabbage, corn on the cob, canned sweet potatoes, Mac and cheese ,rice and mashed potatoes. The chicken was good and the mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese were good . On the other side of the small buffet was a salad bar with typical options. It was ok except the potato salad was sooo sweet...??! Tea was good but no offer of a refill. I asked for one to go at the register. There's a soft serve machine with vanilla only and a few things for toppings. There are no spoons there...and you eat it out of a styrofoam coffee cup... I was very surprised at the price, especially since the main portion of the buffet was so small. Oh well....just know not to stop here next year.
