It's Bo time baby. Stopped here on the way to NC and no complaints. Service was on par, it was fast, and Bo slapped just like usual. I got a cajun chicken biscuit, some Bo rounds, and a sweet tea. Go get your fixins

Honestly, we loved it! First timers and we don't do fast food a lot so we weren't expecting much. The food was actually great. The chicken was crispy and good, the biscuits were great and we loved the mashed potatoes. It was clean, accessible and everyone was super nice! We were pleasantly surprised by everything!

8/23/21: I stopped by on my way to Norfolk from VA. I wanted a kids meal before I hopped back on the road. I went through the drive thru & the order taker wasn't friendly. I let that go because when I got my food, it was ALL fresh. Yummmm yummmm. That's a plus for me. The parking lot had a lot of available parking on both sides of the restaurant. It is right next to a gas station & the fulfilled my order very quickly. I will definitely go back when I'm back in the area.

Dammit, the constant "It's Bo time, y'all!" ads finally got to me. I was thinking about lunch and as I drove through Emporia, I decided that I would have Bojangles. It's not too hard to stick with a keto diet at a fried chicken place and I did well with two chicken breasts and sides of cole slaw and green beans. The chicken was excellent. Perfectly cooked, meaty, lightly battered and just a little bit of zing with the flavor. The cole slaw was okay. It was a very light portion. I did have one small bite of the biscuit and it was very good. Light and flaky. The beans were awful. Mushy and tasting like someone poured "liquid smoke" into them. I tried hard, but they were terrible. The restaurant was busy and service was slow. A couple of tables needed cleaning, one of the trash bins was full and the condiments/utensils are was not fully stocked. Summary: Just get the chicken and biscuits. To go. Whenever I see a Bojangles, its time for a Bo Berry Biscuit!!! The best part of the visit for sure. Hot biscuit with the creamiest of drizzled glaze topping, forget the fork, eat it with your hands and lick your fingers when you are done. That is how good these biscuits are, you do not want to waste the glaze. When you are traveling, these biscuits make for good road trip food to put something on the belly, to hold you over til the next food stop. The service was okay, nothing to write home about. We were able to order relatively swiftly and with no issues. The chicken was pipping hot and the skin was extra crispy!!! Winner winner chicken dinner!! The green beans are a good choice for a side as they have pieces of bacon and chopped onions in it! Do not, and I mean do not forget the sweet tea!!! If you feeling fancy add some lemonade for that Arnold Palmer feeling!!

My new go to when I need a quick meal when passing through emporia VA while traveling for work! They have great customer service, clean and the food is fresh!

This car was in the parking lot when I went there. Totally awesome (and appropriate) license plate!

On a recent trip down to North Carolina my car buddy simply would not shut up about how awesome Bojangles was. We stopped and gave it a try. It was pretty good. The place smelled great and the food was pretty decent. I'm not really gonna rave about fried fast food chicken, but it was good. If you're making your way down the East Coast why not stop in and give it a try. It's like that other famous chicken place without the proselytizing and treating their workers poorly. I had the cajun chicken 'cause I like the spicy. Good stuff!

The Emporia exit off of 95 near the Virginia/NC border isusually one I pass by because it's always crowded and seemingly dirty because a lot of people pass through and I get the impression that people don't care there because people are just passing through so who cares lol. Well that changed for me with this location because we were passing through with a kid who had to pee so bad he was going to pee his pants so Emporia is where we stopped and Bojangles is where we decided to eat and use facilities. There was a bus arriving at the same time and I thought this couldn't be a good situation. However, this must have been planned because you'd never know there was a bus there by the way things went. The staff was super friendly and helpful and our ordering process went very smooth. The restrooms were surprisingly clean and I didn't leave feeling like I needed a shower. When I was leaving a staff member was there filling napkins and condiments and helped stock me up with what we needed for our meal and wished us a Blessed day...the Bo way. The food was hot and tasty too. Good to see that not all is lost in Emporia.

My chicken was unseasoned and the skin was crispy but rock hard and my biscuit was dry. But the customer service was amazing!

Stopped by for the lunch buffet on a weekday. Buffet ran about $15 and we found it to be worth…read moreevery penny. First trip to the buffet, I tried the fried chicken (skin was a little too salty for me, but the meat itself was juicy and delicious), the hushpuppies (so crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside: delicious!), mashed potatoes with hamburger steak and gravy (soooooooooo good!!!), cabbage (good), Mac n cheese (soooooo cheesy and delicious. I could feel my arteries clogging, but that's how you know it is good), chopped bbq (tasty, but I would have loved a different bbq sauce, theirs is a little too vinegar heavy for my personal preference), and a sausage (soooooo good! I could have eaten about 50 of them!). Also had some potato salad and Cole slaw on the side that were both straight out of my childhood in Georgia. My second trip to the buffet, I had to get more mashed potatoes and hamburger with gravy, Mac n cheese, and hush puppies because they were awesome. Added some chicken and dumplings (yum!), corn (sooooooo great mixed with the mashed potatoes), as well as the peach cobbler (I wish the peaches were chopped smaller so they weren't so hard to swallow), apple cobbler (pretty good), and banana pudding (amazing!!!) I wish I had room for a cup of their ice cream, it was all those little cups but they had a bunch of flavors like vanilla, strawberry, chocolate and COFFEE! I'll save some space next time. Everyone we interacted with was super nice and the decor looks like every barbecue restaurant I've ever been in with pig decor everywhere. I really like that They used more spices than just salt. This is one of the very few buffets I've ever been to that. It was not just overwhelmingly salty I also really liked their waiting room for when the restaurant gets too crowded and you have to get put on a list. There was so much seating that I would not have been annoyed standing around waiting for my table. We did not have to this time, because we were seated immediately, but it's good to know that you have options if you're ever here during a really crowded time of day. I will say that the temperature was a little too warm for my likings, so even though a lot of the clientele of a certain age shall we say were very comfortable, we ended up sweating and feeling a bit nauseated by the time it was time to go because it was just so hot. Definitely going sleeveless clothes next time I come here. I cannot wait to come back and demolish their buffet again. It was all so good.

Wow!!! A great small town buffet. This place is busy but we were able to get in without a wait. I…read morethroughly enjoyed my meal. I had fried chicken, sausage (which are some of THE best sausage everrrr) ham, bbq ribs that were smoked to perfection. I also had greens, hamburger steak, mash potato and gravy. Oh, and the ice tea the best it's served in mason jars - simply delicious.
