To start off, the bathrooms are completely dirty. They smell and the floors are all sticky. It looks like they haven't been cleaned in days. The lobby was also sticky and disgusting. They were completely out of condiments as well and the lady at the register did not know how to work the Wendy's app when I was trying to get a coupon to scan. The food itself wasn't bad, as I said they were out of condiments so none of the burgers had mayo or anything. I doubt I'll be back again. read more

First off, my order was incorrect TWICE. Then the lady working the drive thru (with the silver nose ring coming out of her right nostrilwas EXTREMELY rude. When I AGAIN told her my food was incorrect, she snatched the food and just said "pull up". Why be mad and rude at me cause y'all go my order wrong TWICE!! I JUST GIVE UP! She brought me my chicken nuggets and AGAIN, it's not right. I asked for Garlic Parm.. I got something VERY HOT! read more

Horrible place avoid at all costs . The staff is horrible down to the management . While ordering I was yelled at and rushed. Come to find out it's the supervisor/ manager who was rushing me . She told me to pull up to the first window then put her hand out the second window and started banging on it . While I was grabbing my card to pay she made audible noises . If your reading this noone told you to work in fast food and to be so blatantly rude if you're miserable fucking leave and find a new job and don't be an ass to people for Litteraly no reason . Son of a baconator was trash and they messed up my drink . So yeah if you read this Cracker Barrel is right across the road and the same price just saying . Let's be super clear the only reason yall even still exist at this location is because of where you are because your WELL BELOW average here . Like I travel up the east coast constantly stopped at a lot of places and I really hope Yelp starts letting people put 0 stars . Yall shouldn't be in business like be for real yall trash read more

The food is expected but the service? Slow. The restaurant is a mess and it seems to be understaff. Was hoping to use the restroom here, but it was too gross to even set foot in. We had to wait in a huge line of cars too, so that was annoying. It wasn't even lunch time nor dinner time! The ambiance is crazy, I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're going for a long drive. read more

I just placed an order at this establishment between 10-1015am. The woman who took our order and who was at the window was kind. We had to pull up and she told us someone would bring our order out. I decided to go inside to use the restroom during the wait. On my way out, the girl at the front register said behind my back, "What the ****?! I just went out there." I'm sorry, I didn't realize I should've stopped at the counter on my way to the bathroom to let you know I'll be back out for my bags. I'll remember to do that to save the 20 steps you took to bring out our order next time. Food was good, bathrooms were clean and service was speedy, despite having to pull up for a moment. read more

Very disappointing experience. The service was extremely poor, several staff members seemed visibly irritated, and one girl at the drive-thru even rolled her eyes at me when I mentioned an item was missing from my order. It felt unprofessional and unwelcoming overall. Definitely not what I expected. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at the Wendy's in Emporia. I arrived at the drive-thru at 10:20 a.m., fully expecting to grab breakfast--especially since the restaurant clearly advertises that breakfast is served until 10:30 a.m. To my surprise, I was told they were no longer serving breakfast. If breakfast ends at 10:30, customers should be able to order until that time--not be turned away ten minutes early. It's frustrating and misleading, especially when you're on the road and planning your morning around getting a quick bite. This kind of inconsistency is unacceptable. Please either honor your posted hours or update them so customers aren't wasting their time. read more

Average shitter restaurant, food took over 20 minutes, drink machine had no ice and the food was cold by the time i got it. The lobby was also dirty despite being empty. read more

Despite how busy and understaffed they were, employees were very polite, hardworking, and food came out quickly and tasty!

Holy smokes... if you want Wendy's... try everything in your power to want something else. This is NOT the true Wendy's experience. It's a dirty, "meh", "why did I go here", Wendy's stickered structure that serves food that pretends to be Wendy's standards. I'm not going to say Wendy's is supposed to be an amazing place considering it is fast food. However, I keep the bar within reason to where I am. I am telling you this place is atrocious. If you can choose somewhere else... do it. Heck, go to the grocery store up the street, it would probably be faster if you buy it then cook it yourself. Other than employees who really don't care and food quality that is questionable, the bathrooms were so nasty they reminded me of the shady gas bathroom that you see in horror movies. Certain parts of the floor were sticky while others were slippery... It was just so much no... Please follow the Yelp facts - this place does NOT deliver. I thought maybe we caught this Wendy's on a bad day, but reading other reviews makes me think this is standard. Drive thru lady was very rude from start to finish. Food took a long time, but at least the order was correct. Now my family is starting to have symptoms of what I pray is not food poisoning. read more

I don't understand the bad attitudes in fast food now days. We never got greeted before ordering nor after paying. We both got biggie bags, neither came with nuggets. Cashier looks like she lost her dog. We had to wait ten minutes before ordering because literally every single person who ordered before us (3) had to go back up there for issues. 0/10. Was also up charged without asking. The floors felt like they were coated in grease. I had to walk like I was on ice. Chairs were sticky. Tables left with some sort of white film on them. The other ones were just dirty. But at least my fries were hot and I had bbq sauce. read more

Busy location so transient grime and moderate disarray is tolerable. Large parking lot. Entrance is a tad inconvenient and drive-thru traffic wrapped around the building and protruded into main lot. Restrooms were a bit untidy but acceptable as they had had soap and paper towels. Wait to order was short (3 minutes); 4 for $4 (x2) and $1 Large fries totaled ~$10, very reasonable. Elsie was neither personable or rude but got our order keyed correctly, so self pay by cc was easy. Our food was accurately prepared in ~5 minutes. Despite the unkept appearance, they cranked out our food waaaay faster than the Wendy's back in Norfolk. It also coincided with the end of the in store rush; that's also when an employee offered to disinfect our table before we sat down. Way to steal back a star! read more

Waited 35 mins in a drive through at 1030 pm on a Thursday night. The employee was terrible. Terrible service and the drink machines did not work and had no ice. The cashier was VERY rude.

5PM MAY 5 2024 Worst customer service ever! We stopped by traveling through. Waited 10 minutes before we got to the window , then was rushed while taking our order. We pulled to the first window and waited so long we figured the window was closed. So we proceeded to the second window. Where we noticed a employee who had the most unwelcoming face as he said "they didn't pay" . Not once did anyone apologize for the inconvenience of any of the poor service. We returned to the first window, still no one IN SIGHT. So we pulled off. read more

Customer service is absolutely horrible. The bathroom smells horrendous, it's sticky on the floors. The place is just dirty and don't even get me started on the drive thru. I had to wait for at least 7 minutes to order my food while I was at the speaker. After they finally took my order, I drive around to the front and pay and everyone in the back is just standing around looking clueless like I didn't just order my food. This is suppose to be a fast food place and baby nothing about this is fast food. read more

The drive-thru is terrible. There was no confirmation of our order. We were not told the cost of our order - not when we ordered at the microphone, not when we paid, and not in a receipt. Before we drove away, we discovered that one of our fries was missing. When we notified the worker, she refused to correct the mistake or let us buy a fry. Instead she shut the window and walked off. Terrible service. read more

Awful- little to recommend s- food was cold, grilled chicken had black grill sludge all over it. The soda was flat, one dispenser was out of ice. This is a brand new or at least newly remodeled Wendy's and is very clean and Up to date The staff at the front counter is either new or needs additional training very shy and not overly engaging to the customers We had five people for our order and they got it right Did see that they had pretty bad reviews but our experience was good read more

Waited fifteen minutes to place an order inside with ONE party in front of me-they were waiting when I came in. Clearly this place needs to be blue to train their people to be able to complete more than one task at a time. As I waited to place my order STILL for another five plus minutes the employees continued to do absolutely the babe minimum of movement behind the counter, choosing to stand around and talk and watch other employees prep food. This place needs to be completely retained and the management replaced. Unfortunately Yelp won't let me upload the video that I took of the employees just standing around before deciding to leave after half an hour waiting total for NOTHING read more

We did not read the reviews prior to going in but clearly should have. Just wanted a quick meal on our drive home. Wasn't particularly quick, even though there were little to no customers at the time. Floor was slick, like greasy slick. They were out of almost every drink in the Coke Freestyle machine. Bathrooms were nasty and 2 of 3 stalls had no tp. Best part was ordering 2 chicken sandwiches and being given 2 burgers. Had to go back in to fix that issue, further delaying our trip home. Staff unconcerned and they almost seemed annoyed to have customers. Try one of the other restaurants in this area and avoid this one. read more

i ordered the chicken biscuit combo, make drink a iced coffee. she opens the window, i struggle to pull my card up on my phone, so it took me a couple seconds. i hand her my phone she pays for it and THEN decided to tell me they don't have biscuits. the whole reason i even came to wendy's was because mcdonalds doesn't have biscuits. please tell me why you would let me order and pay and then tell me you don't have biscuits?! from the looks of your other reviews it's not looking great for this place. read more

Absolutely abhorrent, there was soda covering the floor causing me to almost slip multiple times. As we were ordering, the employee at the register spaced off in the middle of the order. There was overcrowding causing a long wait in line both inside and drive thru. The line took about 25 minutes to wait through. The food was alright, but the service was awful and you're better off going to another one of the restaurants near by. would give zero stars if possible, there's still soda on my shoes. read more

Service slow. They we out of most soft drinks- did not mention that when I paid. Out if most items.

Worst Wendy's experience ever. It wasn't that bad. From the drive thru cashier we heard-"What's your order?" No greeting at all, just "What's your order." I asked about chicken nuggets because I didn't see it listed on the outside menu. She then told me about a 10 count nugget meal for $5.99. All three of us got it, but the bill came out to over $24.00. Either we we're overcharged or the Emporia is making a killing off some food taxes. Whatever, we were hungry. The nuggetts had absolutely no taste. No salt or anything. The fries were even worse. Didn't Wendy's change to sea salt some years ago? I couldn't even finish them they were so dry. Just awful. Oh and my wife was driving behind me and had almost the exact same experience. Drive 20 more miles down the road to Roanoke Rapids everyone. There are a lot more choices with better food and service. read more

So disappointed to open both sandwiches to find that our requests for plain sandwiches were not honored. I'm too far away to turn back. If I had gone through the drive through, this likely would've been a 5 star review as the food was very tasty. HOWEVER, the cleanliness of this facility is at the surface level only, I didn't pay much attention at first when the first table available to me was clean. But as you look around there were spills on the tables, spills on the floors, disarray at the drink station, and filthy trash cans.. I'm sad to note that I didn't notice any of this until after I had eaten most of my meal or I likely wouldn't have eaten there. Their bathrooms were even a scene which looked like some chaotic battlefield had ensued with the paper towel dispenser. Not to mention the manager talked down to her employees directly in front of her customers in front of the employees... all around unclean and unprofessional. read more

Yikes! I can see why this place has such bad reviews. Stopped in on the way to Myrtle Beach for a soda and a bathroom break. Upon walking into the bathroom, I saw an elderly lady and her granddaughter trying to catch themselves from falling. Apparently leaving water all over the floor is not an issue to management, neither are liability issues. The poor woman was so distraught, thankfully I was there to help them up from the fall. Then I noticed a beautiful large cockroach dead on the bathroom floor. This made my skin crawl, because I can't even begin to imagine what they have running around behind the food and/or soda fountain behind the counter. I didn't order a soda... and I won't ever order anything from this establishment. Not even the free frosty they offered to me, when I checked in on Yelp. read more
