She knew just when to inquire whether or not we wanted our beverages refilled. But the extra special part was her delightful personality and terrific sense of humor. We had the best time interacting with her throughout the evening - we lingered extra long (the dinner rush had slowed by then) just to chat with her when she could stop by. 1 Star - Serious Health Concern…read more While visiting Ruby Tuesday in Roanoke Rapids, my family and I witnessed a German cockroach crawling on the salad bar, which was supposed to be fresh and ready for guests. I immediately notified management. The only response I received was, "Oh my goodness." There was no attempt to remove food, clean the area, or address the issue in any way. Because of this, we chose to leave and not eat our food. A roach is disturbing on its own, but a German cockroach is commonly associated with infestations, which raises serious concerns about cleanliness and food safety. I have photo and video evidence of what we saw. Additionally, the restaurant appeared severely understaffed. We waited over 20 minutes just to be acknowledged and seated. This experience was unacceptable and concerning from a public health standpoint. I do not recommend eating at this location and will not be returning.
