They forgot to pack some of the order and we didn't realize until we got home. My husband went back up to the location (20 minutes), provided the girl at the counter the receipt and shared what was missing. She went to the manager who said to give us the order. He grabbed it and when while walking out to the car found they gave us a 4 piece strip vs. the missing 12 piece count. So he went back in and told/show them. He did mention he'd take the strips (since he touched them) if they were going to throw them out. The manager threw a fit. Took the strips and threw them in the trash right in front of him (like he has drastically inconvenienced her as the customer who didn't receive what they ordered). Eventually he got the missing nuggets and left. Huge inconvenience with terrible customer service. I called the phone number, waited 22:21 minutes- got a cares representative who said there was nothing he could do to assist and I would have to call the store (which I did and it sent me to him), said to try calling again but push catering. Did that, catering is also not on site so they told me I also needed to hang up and call back. Eventually, I got someone on the phone and they said there was nothing I could do unless I came back up to the store. read more

Chic-fil-a is definitely not the same as in years ago. I am not sure of the climate change or the way of the world, but from customer service to quality of service, it has definitely gone downhill. This store in particular I visited last month around the holiday to pick up a catering order for my daughter's cheer team. I placed the order through the app about 48 hours in advance. I was thrilled they had a pick up time available to suit my needs. I arrived at the scheduled time on a not so busy late Saturday morning. I was greeted and told an associate my reason for being there. I thought the associate was going to assist me... prepare my order or at least bring it to me. Well after 10 minutes of waiting still no order. Another associate, which appeared to be perhaps a manager, asked my reason for waiting, I advised...she advised catering pick up was at the back near the play area. I had no idea of this, I waited under the sign that indicated pick up, catering etc. Nevertheless, I walked to the back and gave my name and another associate advised they did not have an order with my name... sheeesh!! Well in about 90 seconds or less, my order was located. I could go on and on... but no apology no empathy. I mean, this is not the CFA I know and love. All in all, I received my order after waiting an additional 20+minutes. Not sure if I will order here again because of all the confusion experienced just a month ago. This is one of my favorite Chick-fil-A, located on Sam's Drive, just off Battlefield Boulevard in the heart of Chesapeake. There's always a line in the drive-thru but fear not, they know how to keep it moving, so you can get your food quickly. The interesting thing is that even though they move fast, your food is still delivered to you piping hot. It's probably not fair to call them a fast food restaurant because of their quality standards. I just love it when I say thank you to one of the employees and they say "my pleasure." As much as I love chick fil a I'm EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TONIGHT. I ordered 2 large combos. Get to the window to have one large and one medium sized drink. As a CFA Signature Member and having a business relationship with a franchise in my hometown, I think I can speak to experiences at CFA pretty well. This restaurant has been my worst experience to date. The staff was rude, the fries (which I know carry weight in the franchise) were cold and mushy and to top it off we didn't receive our full order and they gave us two wrong drinks. CFA is supposed to be an experience, not just another fast food restaurant and this experience was so bad it wasn't even worth going back to correct the mistakes in fear we would just be met with more attitude. Everyone who I have been helped by at Chick-Fil-A has been nice and on point with the order. I tried the chicken strips for the first time today and wow they were delicious! This Chick-fil-A is ALWAYS busy, but there are a dozen or more employees darting back and forth service customers as fast as they come in. A double drive-thru keeps the cars flowing. In fact, you might consider using the drive-thru over parking and placing your order at the counter. It's a coin toss really. Unless... ...you use the CFA mobile app, of which I have become a huge fan. Place your order in advance using the app, drive to CFA, press the "I'm here" button on the app, they prepare your order, the app tells you when it's ready (which is generally within 60 seconds) and you simply walk in, pick up your order at the side counter and walk out...or eat in if that's what you'd like to do. Plus, when you use the app you earn free food after a few trips. Sometimes the app randomly gives you a free sandwich to use your saved "favorite" CFA. Yeah, baby! read more

While I was standing at the register to have my order taken by a young woman an older gentleman- probably the GM based off of how he was dressed- came up to her and placed his hand on her shoulder then pushed her out of the way so he could grab something from under the counter. She was visibly uncomfortable and I asked her if he does that often. She said all the time. This dude didn't say "excuse me" or "can I get something from beneath the counter real quick?". Chick-fil-A consistently stands out from the crowd of fast food restaurant chains. I have never had a negative experience at any Chick-fil-A store, I can't say that about any other chain restaurant. It starts with the staff, always friendly, efficient and professional. It's a treat to walk into this store and interact with the employees who make me feel like a valued customer and truly seem to enjoy their jobs. The store is always clean and organized and inviting. Everything is shiny and new since they recently razed the building and rebuilt the store from the ground up. Most people agree that Chick-fil-A food is pretty darn good, especially by fastfood standards. My wife and I favor the spicy chicken deluxe sandwich which is always crispy on the outside while tender and juicy on the inside. An order of delicious waffle fries is the perfect accompaniment to your sandwich. Other items I really enjoy at Chick-fil-A include chicken salad (cup or sandwich), grilled chicken club sandwich, and of the delectable chick-n-strips with dipping sauces. For breakfast I like to keep it simple with a nice chicken biscuit and some hash browns, always delicious. Do you want a drink with your meal? Eschew the usual soda pop and treat yourself to their refreshing and delicious fresh-squeezed lemonade or freshly-brewed iced tea. Bonus, you can enjoy their free Wi-Fi network during your visit to keep you connected. Product quality is very consistent here across the board. Remember the scene from the 1993 movie Falling Down where Michael Douglas is going a little crazy with a submachine gun at Whammy Burger? Remember his reaction when he compares the sandwich in his hand with the picture on the menu board? That wouldn't have happened at Chick-fil-A, what they serve you actually looks like the picture on the board. You know the restaurant can get crazy busy at peak times with drive-through lines wrapped around the building and a sea of hungry mouths queued up at the order counter inside. I marvel at the speed and efficiency with which the staff operates in these situations. They never seem to get lost in the weeds and the lines move very swiftly. I appreciate more than the food and customer service here. Chick-fil-A is a responsible employer that gives back to the communities they serve and maintains a proper sense or corporate responsibility. While I sometimes wish they were open on Sundays I appreciate the importance they place on giving their employees a break every week. All in all, this restaurant rocks and when it comes to fast food Chick-fil-A is definitely number one on my list. read more
