I leaned on Yelp recommendations to lead us to HomeGrown. And as usual, the Yelp reviews were spot on! This is a great little spot that easily accommodated our meat-eaters and plant-based eaters alike. Our group of 9 arrived for an early dinner. Thankfully it was pretty empty inside. The lady taking our order patiently answered all of our questions and accommodated everyone's dietary requests. Our food was delivered to us at the table. All of the food was fresh and delicious! Despite our large party, including one additional to-go order, our food was delivered quickly and correctly. Moral of the story....believe the Yelp reviews!

Everything we had (we shared several dishes) was absolutely delicious!!! We started with the cheese board, and added the special broccolini of the evening. The ravioli and the piccata were amazing (yes, we ate too much, but brought some home ). For a Wednesday night, the place was very busy, so it's obvious Asheville appreciates and understands good food. Their baked goods are very good, I am a former baker so I'm a hard judge, so I was really hoping for a decent piece of bread, since with avocado toast has two main players: avocado and toast. You kind of need to get both players right. The side salad was medium, but I did appreciate having it because it was unclear from the menu if anything else would be served with the toast. Unfortunately , I did have to push aside a few slimy pieces of lettuce, but the dressing was very good and well seasoned. I do appreciate the overall vibe and service of All Day Darling, very positive atmosphere and seemingly happy staff. It was a Monday, and Mondays in the restaurant biz are often a bit chancy. I ordered a bacon deluxe, onion rings, and a caramel shake, then found a booth in a quiet corner. My lunch was delivered surprisingly quickly for having been cooked to order. My burger was great. The meat was tasty and well cooked, the bacon still had a bit of chew to it rather than being overly crisped, the tomato was good, the lettuce had some crunch. Best true fast food burger I've had in some time. A definite 5. The onion rings were good but not great. Crispy outside, but not much onion inside. The shake was very good, tasty, and about as thick as you can yet without needing a spoon. If it was closer to my house than a 30 minute drive I would be a regular customer. I'll certainly keep my eyes open for their restaurants in my travels. Wish I could give 4 1/2 stars, it was definitely better than a 4, but not quite a 5.

They give you way too many, not Five Guys too many, but way too many for an average eater with a big fat burger. Not one person in our group finished their burger and fries. If I was home I would have taken them home to my chickens and I don't think even they could finish them all in one sitting. The other thing I didn't like was how they do seating...I had to sit at the bar with my kids because all of the tables were taken up by 1 or 2 people when they could seat six. We saw several people come in after us and one person from their group would go claim a table while their group was in line ordering, preventing the people ordering ahead of them from finding a spot. Having a hostess seat people would make this place five stars.
