Instead of responding, she silently placed a paper on the counter and moved on. The interaction felt dismissive, like we were more of an inconvenience than paying customers. Before I get to the food, I want to recognize the excellent customer service. Since it was my first visit, I had quite a few questions. The employee helping us was patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. She walked us through all of the flight options, and let us know that everything was made fresh to order, so there would be a short wait. The strawberries were fresh, sweet, and firm, while the cream tasted rich and homemade. The chicken and waffles were outstanding. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and well seasoned, and the waffle had a wonderful texture: light and airy inside with a crisp exterior. It was served with syrup and a remoulade-style sauce. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully decorated with fun murals, word art and nods to Round Rock. For a first visit, Waffle Love made a fantastic impression.
