On top of that I decided our old window treatments weren't quite right for our new gorgeous bathroom so reached out to my trust decorator for recommendations. She said she's had nothing, but great experiences with Gotcha Covered...and looks like (based on the stellar reviews) that many yelpers agree. I called last Monday and found time on a Saturday morning for a sales rep (Jay) to stop by. Saturdays are ideal for my work schedule, although when he stopped by at 10am I had 3 kids I had to kick out of their rooms (especially the teenager) so he walked into a bit of craziness, but didn't seem bothered by it. Within an hour we chose hunter douglas room darkening shades for my kids rooms, as well as a custom made silhouette window shade for our bathroom. My decorator facetimed to help us pick a color and fabric for the window, which ended up being a quick 5 min call. We were able to match all the shades to the existing trim in all the rooms and then Jay was off. Jay promised a quote by Monday, but delivered it Saturday afternoon. While pricey it ended up being much less than I expected (also included a designer referral discount) and I"m really happy with everything we ordered. I did think about shopping around, but decided to just go with Gotcha Covered based on the stellar reviews, great service from Jay and the price seemed fair (even chatgpt agreed :)). They required a 50% deposit to place the order and promised to deliver/install in 4-6 weeks. I'll update my review after installation, but I'm happy so far!

I contacted Bill who was easy to communicate with and scheduled for an estimate. I highly appreciate his straightforward personality and unapologetic honesty. He knows he has a great product and provides incredible prices; he doesn't have to sell you on anything. He didn't try to upsell me and informed me of my options that gave me more bang for my buck. For example, he told me that he has a team that could install the shades (for a very reasonable price) but if someone in the house was handy and as long as we knew how to use a drill, we could install the shades ourselves. He was right, the shades weren't difficult to install. With the right drill bit and a charged drill, it only took a couple of hours to install 9 shades. Bill informed me of a promotional North Shore Shutters was offering over the summer that was still running, free upgrade for Bottom Up Top Down shades. These cellular shades are quality! They are lightweight but sturdy and look so beautiful in our home. The room darkening shades do a great job of keeping our bedroom dim in the morning where we have two East facing windows. If you're looking for competitive prices, call Bill, the price for all 9 shades was incredible! After accepting the proposal and once the invoice was paid for (happened all on the same day), it took 2 weeks for the blinds to arrive. Their showroom was very helpful because we could go there and see various options in person and view how the automation alternatives actually worked. Their in-home visit enabled us to choose materials and colors right in the environment where the blinds would be installed. We choose automated blinds that change position relative to the sunrise and sunset so that we have the perfect combination of light and privacy in our family room with window walls on three sides. We can also control our blinds with Amazon's Alexa or Apple's Siri. This shows the kind of experience that we appreciate. We are so glad to hear that they have relocated to Wilmette, closer to us. After water damage I was looking to replace my floor. It was…read moreharrowing. Some contractors/sales people said they would come and just would not show up. Some were not upfront. Some would not tell me the brand the flooring was. Some just did not know their products. It was all so frustrating. Then along came Charles. My knight in shiny armor. He is sincere, honest and truly cares about your needs. He lets you know if there is a delay or a problem. I felt that I was in good hands. He told me all I needed for the floor. The supplier he deals with is top notch. Then came delivery/installation. I was immediately was put at ease with the worker he sent. I wanted to keep him. He did a nice job installing the floor.
