Hmmm...not sure where to begin with my glowing review of Lindsay Station. Perhaps I'll start by…read moreexplaining my "bias", though this "bias" is shaped from the truth of the awesomeness of owner/ stylist Lori Lindsay, her staff, and the shop (including her great dog, Harley!) My respect, love, and total trust of Lori stems from knowing her as my stylist since 1990 and having never gotten a haircut/ styling from anyone else in those 24 years. (I think that speaks for itself! Even when I lived up in Wauconda in the late 90's, I would make special trips to Chicago to get haircuts from Lori...) Lori worked for another shop then, when I first met her; I then followed her, and her friendly, skilled manner, to another shop; and now, best of all, to where she owns her own shop, Lindsay Station, for the past several years. Going there is an exercise in comfort. Lori and the other stylists make you feel at home right away. Whether it's for color, perms, or just a styling-of-your-choice, Lori and the rest of the staff will treat you to ample doses of friendliness, attentiveness, skill, and respect. What more can I say? Lindsay Station ROCKS! I would never go anywhere else...and I don't.

This place is great with doing haircuts and hairstyles but makeup is not there thing at all they…read moreshould not offer makeup service to anyone at all. For prom my makeup artist canceled on me so then I was recommended to go to this place and this lady that I didn't catch her name but I go in the store and I told her if they do makeup here and she said yes and showed me some of her work and I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she said she can do that so she did my hair first which it turned out fine then my makeup but really portly done she really messed me up big time I wish I can post the picture here but she rrally messed me up and it was really unhygienic too. She was using her hands to do everything she rubbed foundation on my face I couldn't see because I wear glasses so I couldn't really see what she was doing to me, but I thought she was rubbing moisturizer or prepping my face because she told me to show up anything on my face so then I feel that she started to work on my eyeshadow already so she finishes one eye and shows me and that's where I see the fucking horro site AND IT WASNT THE COLOR AT ALL and mind you I kept telling her if she needed to see the picture again and she kept saying no so ok she is a stubborn old lady so then I showed her the picture of the eyeshadow that it's not the color even close to what I wanted she got really bothered with me and she was like well you don't like it and my not the eyeshadow color I so that she has such a whole attitude this whole entire time she was doing my make up and then she can't make any remarks. Oh well I don't really like having makeup. I don't like The Looks like you guys be doing now these days I like natural. And it's like she shouldn't be saying anything like you're gonna get paid for this work and then she finishes and I look like a clown it was so bad and she then said well u didn't give me much to work with and trying to blame my acne for it. She was very unprofessional the whole entire time and her wake up skills are just not it. She should never offer this server and she was very unprofessional the whole entire time and her skills are just not it. She should never offer makeup services ever again and mess up someone fuck up over badly and especially on my prom day. So yeah I wish this old lady was honest in the beginning that she could do hair. She is really unprofessional making remarks and critiquing the picture I showed her. I hope she never gets another victim.
