I've been having my nails done at Chic Nails for as long as I can remember. It's located conveniently in my neighborhood and it's always been run by the owner, Tina and one staff member, Tasha. Tina does the manicures and Tasha does the pedicures. I never go to any other salon because I love Tina and Tasha and they always do the BEST possible job, to my complete satisfaction. We were not yet comfortable going to an indoor salon, so a friend recommended this salon who is doing outdoor manicures and pedicures. It was perfect. They have such a lovely patio all set up to do everything outside. It was not too hot or sunny, lots of umbrellas and a canopy. Very clean and very Covid safe. The owner, Tina, and her employee, Tasha, or good at doing nails and were very personable and friendly. The prices were so much lower than I was expecting in Laguna Beach. If I lived here, this would be my salon. The ladies were super friendly and while I was their last customer of the day, did not make me feel rushed at all. I love this salon! I have been seeing Tasha for a few years and found her through a strong recommendation of a customer from my own job! Tasha is my podiatrist - that's how good she is. I had suffered a cracked toenail through going to low cost salons where they worked too fast and literally split a toenail. Also, I really disliked how roughly & harshly the other salons had scrubbed my feet and didn't talk English. I had given up ever going back to these salons & was doing my own toenails. I was very hesitant to try Tasha, but could see I was not doing a very good job of correctly cutting toenails on my own. From the first time I experienced Tasha's gentle and expert handling of my feet and nails, I was impressed. It took almost 1 year, but through Tasha's expert trimming and shaping of my toenail, the split nail is gone! Last year, I recommended my husband go to Tasha because he has suffered from nail fungus for most of his life. My husband sees Tasha every two weeks. It has been a little over a year, and again...because of Tasha's very thorough cleaning and trimming of the nails, my husbands nail fungus is about 80% gone! I can not say enough good things about Chic Nails and Tasha. This is a very small hidden gem in Laguna Beach. They do not keep you waiting, it has a quiet, peaceful atmosphere (no loud music) and both Tasha and Tina are pleasant, gentle and know their craft. They do have a small restroom for their customers. Parking can be difficult as this is in Laguna Beach. Try to go early in the morning and on a weekday for best un-metered parking. read more
