Small but mighty! Don't let the size of the salon fool you, this was the best pedicure I have had in my life. She took extra time making sure my acrylics where perfect to. If I wasn't on vacation this would be my new salon. My nails have never looked so good! read more

Things you should know: -there's metered parking -it's up the stairs (there is an escalator) -there's only 2 spa pedicure massage chairs -the manager was polite and friendly -nail techs were extremely detailed -massage was good -whole process was under 1 hour -spa pedicure was $25 (before tip) -there was a special (?) for mani and pedi at $35 -paint selection seemed good (colors seemed fresh and new) Only took a star away for how beat up the massage chairs looked (seat material was peeling). read more

Alfa Nails Salon - This place was a little hard to find so I included a picture (it's up the stairs). - Nail Salons Near Me - Laguna Beach, California

Saw Holly at the salon in March before it closed due to the virus. I'm picky and I like my nails colorful. Ombré. With a clear cuticle so it can grow out naturally. She was awesome. She did the ombré freehand and made it very pretty yet dramatic. She did it quickly and did a great job. I highly recommend Holly! read more

Best manicure I've ever had in my adult life. Call ahead before you walk in just to make sure they can fit you in. There are only 4 spa chairs in the small room, so it's best to know if you will have to wait or not. Holly was my technician, and she was so friendly, kind, and accommodating. She paid attention to detail while trimming my unruly cuticles (ew) and applied the paint perfectly without getting any on my skin. She also suggested an ombre nail color, something I've never done before, and I thought it was going to cost more than the regular gel. I went with it because, hey, why not. Much to my happiness, it was the same price! My gel manicure ($30) lasted a full 2 weeks, then my right pointer finger began to lift at the bottom. It's been almost 3 weeks since my manicure, and the right pointer finger is still the only nail to have lifted. If you're looking for beautiful ambiance, detailed technicians, and good pricing, Alfa is the place. TIP: They validate parking in the garage of the building they are located in. read more

My wife and I are back again, and it seems like Holly just keeps getting better and better at running her business. She remembers us every time we come back. The place is impeccably clean, the staff is fantastic, and Holly is such a delightful person. This year we came on lunar new year and she had food for the customers to celebrate. She even set off a few little fire crackers! The view is still beautiful and the team of technicians is great. Be careful if you come, you will definitely be back! read more

Love this place. Grew up in Laguna, and these ladies are the only ones I trust with my Gel polish. Time after time they worked with my schedule, my nail preferences, and went the extra mile to accommodate any design or trend I wanted done. Made many holidays extra special and I brought all my friends here. Owner is super nice and helpful. I moved recently but hope they are all doing well! read more

First and foremost, the only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because the actual woman who did my nails was kind and patient. The main woman in the shop is quite the opposite. I went in for a gel manicure. I asked for a certain nail style after showing them a photo off of Pinterest and the main woman said "sorry. We don't have those colours." It was odd in that the colours are very basic, light colours. But I didn't fight it. I asked to see the colour rings to pick new colours then. But would go with the same design. I. Found. All. The. Colours. Then I asked if they had glitter gel polish. I was told, no they didn't. So I ask to see a different ring and low and behold, glitter gel polish. I was about to get the top coat when I asked for loose glitter to be pressed onto my plain coloured nail. And I was told, they didn't have loose glitter. When I asked the woman doing my nails, she went to the main girl and she visibly scoffed, rolled her eyes, and went and got the loose glitter and put it on my nails. So not only was my appointment a fight literally every step of the way. I got my nails done on Friday (08/03) and by the next evening (08/04) a lot of it had peeled off. Now it's Tuesday morning (08/07), all of my nails have broken down to nubs and are extremely brittle, and my gel has peeled and chipped off. Avoid this place if you want anything more than simple polish done. Do not do gels here or have anything fun you want to do. read more

Stayed in Laguna for the night for a birthday party and needed a pedi. Called a few salons close to our hotel - Alfa was the only one that could get me in and out in an hour. The ladies were friendly and quick, but very attentive. I was able to get a quick and great pedicure at a very reasonable price! Without all the bells and whistles, I only paid $25! If you're in Laguna and need a pedi - be sure to stop here! They are a little spot so be sure to call ahead. read more

Just arrived in Newport Beach for vacation and wanted a pedicure. Found this little spot and had the most amazing experience with Holly! Seriously the best pedi I've ever had. Love love this place. read more

I was really in a bind schedule-wise and Holly came to my rescue. I usually do my own pedi's at home because it's cheaper, but this was a special occasion so I wanted a professional pedi. I normally schedule stuff in advance, too, but I forgot to schedule this app't and was fortunately enough to be able to walk in. Very nice facility! Small, but very clean and they open the instrument pack in front of you so you know the instruments will be clean. Nice work for a very reasonable price, which is harder and harder to come by in Laguna. I would highly recommend, but try to call in advance; it's a small salon so you could be in for a wait if you walk in. It's has a warm and unpretentious vibe, which I appreciate in this land of designer gyms, $20.00 juices and endless yoga studios. read more

I had one of my best manicure experiences! The ladies were very nice, attentive and did a GREAT job! The salon is small (but who cares if they make you relaxed and do an excellent job...) they accept walk-ins. There's a parking garage, free for the customers. Affordable prices for amazing services, I will definitely come back. Thank you! read more

I highly recommend this nail salon. Specially Hollie. She is very talented and also has a very gentle touch. She did the cleanest manicure i have ever done. Also what I liked about her is that she truly cared about my nails health and not filing it too much. I learned that all these time my other nail salon was doing my gel nail polish wrong by filing my nail too thin. Also Hollie put some cotton gloves on my hands to protect them from UV light. No other nail salon has ever done that for me. They also have shellac. I am overall very pleased with my nails and also quality of the work. I do recommend it to all my friends who live in Laguna. read more

Alfa Nails Salon - My nails on my second visit. - Nail Salons Near Me - Laguna Beach, California

Holly is by far THE BEST acrylic nail technician I've found in 25 years. I'm a guitarist, so my nails are tools, not for looks. Hence, they have to be perfect and last. I've never found anyone as consistently as conscientious and attentive to detail as Holly. Great pedicures too. No one talking behind your back. Always watching what they're doing, not just pumicing by rote and missing your callouses, but hitting your tender instep instead. I can't say enough great things about Holly and her crew at Alfa! Plus they're nice, no attitudes, and reasonable. read more

Alpha Nails is a very cute small nail salon. The owner Holly is super sweet. She does an excellent job on all her work. I gave them a 4 because the amount of time it takes for them to do a mani and Pedi ( or gel fill) takes over and hour and a half. Way way too much time than I have to give to get my nails done. The space is super small and its hard to get too many people in there. Just having 4 clients in there takes up so much room, that you can hardly walk around or the nail stylist can get around to do your nails comfortably. I would have loved to have given a 5. But due to these to flaws, Length of time to complete a simple nail fill and the lack of room in the salon, i had to give it a 3. read more

Called and they got me right in for a gel mani and pedi on a Saturday afternoon. Very quaint spot on the 3rd floor directly across from San Shi Go in Laguna with ocean views. It's tiny, with only 2 spa chairs so I think it was luck they got me in 5 mins from my initial call--I was down the street leaving a client meeting and turned to yelp for recommendation, they were the top rated salon and absolutely deserve their 5 star rating. Super nice ladies, peaceful vibes, no frills nail salon. Moderately priced, validate parking. I'd definitely go back. read more

I love this nail salon. Best massages and service! It's hard to find nail places that pay this much attention anymore. Highly recommend it.

This is a secret little gem of a salon off the beaten path utilized by locals. Excellent service with a wonderful sliver of beach view to look at from your pedicure chair. Alfa Nails Salon - Acrylic pink and white with summer pedi! - Nail Salons Near Me - Laguna Beach, California

I have been in the area for about two months I have visited two separate nail salons. Alfa not only has the gorgeous rooftop view of the ocean but has great staff. Holly and Annie took great care of me. Holly, paid great attention to the health of the natural nail while doing a pink and white fill. Annie gave a great pedi. They did not rush through their services. No up selling took place. In fact I left forgetting to get my nail art. Nice and clean salon. Only part i felt could be tad better was maybe a drink offered while getting your services. However, nothing negative about that just used to the "norm." If you're looking for a nice relaxing salon with great staff, and a beautiful view y'all go try Alfa Nail Salon. It's also a great way to support a family owned business! read more

They deserve zero Stars. I walked in because the sign says walk-ins welcome and the two women (workers) were in the middle of giving a massage to this lady. The worker speaking to me proceeded to tell me that taking off my acrylics will take too long and she's basically insinuating that I need to leave. This place deserves 0 business. read more

I made an appointment for myself and my three bridesmaids to get mani/pedis the day before my wedding last month. Holly was very accommodating (even with my short notice!) and made us feel very special. The salon is small, but it was perfect for the four of us and you can't beat the ocean view. We came out relaxed, well-pampered, and with beautiful nails. The team was very sweet and made great suggestions for us. I couldn't have asked for a better experience - now only if I didn't live on the other side of the country! Thank you again Holly and your team!! read more
