Out-of-Town Visitor: I'm from out of town and was looking for a nail salon while visiting for the yearly Pageant. I was honestly considering going without getting my nails done, but I'm so glad I decided to come here. This experience was amazing from start to finish. Service: The nail techs took their time and really made the experience feel special. The massage was OMG amazing! They did a hot towel, oils, lotion massage, mask, exfoliation, and gel nails. They also helped me choose the perfect color. I love, love, love my nails! I usually get shorter nails, but that's my personal preference (you can see the length in the picture). Price: I was pleasantly surprised by the price. I actually expected it to cost more because it's in Laguna Beach, but it was better than other salons I've been to because I received more for my service. The hot towel, extra treatments, and overall experience made it feel like such a great value. Location: The salon is in a perfect centralized area, with the trolley drop-off and pick-up nearby, which makes it very convenient. Overall: I will definitely be coming back next year. If you're coming with a larger group, I would recommend booking in advance so everyone can be accommodated. read more

My daughter and I called and the lady answering the phone was SO nice and attentive! (I think she is the owner), ...and I can't remember the three ladies who worked on us, but EVERYONE was so professional and perfectionist at doing nails!! -Very clean -Beautiful nail salon -ocean breeze -REAL slices of lemon/lime in my water for my manicure My daughter wanted her nails done for the Fourth of July and her lady suggested the star stickers as you can see in the picture turned out so so cute! -Reasonably priced -They use great products I wanted mine black, but not too black and they took their time and showed me a few different colors and what it would look like on my nails before the final paint ... Couldn't be happier we will be back Thank you for the great service and our pretty nails :-) - read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had getting a pedicure. Tracy was rude, condescending, unprofessional, and actually made me feel unsafe in the chair. I was looking for a specific color, the reason I was in for a pedicure was to get one for my daughter's wedding in the next few days. I didn't see the color I wanted so before she started, I stated that maybe I should not stay since I needed a specific color. She told me that she could mix colors and to trust her. She was rough and not at all making it a relaxing experience. When I said that I only wanted the basic gel pedicure, she was visibly upset. When she couldn't find the color she was looking for to mix with another color to make the color I had explained I was looking for, she showed much frustration. She was raising her voice and speaking rudely to me, the customer. She did not complete the service she demanded I pay for "or she would call the police." I called the number on the website in hopes to speak to a manager/owner, sent an email as well, heard back via text that Tracy has a loud voice that I must've mistaken for rude, and that if I wanted to come back to apply the gel polish it would be $20 more. I continued to express my complete shock with the way I was treated. David continued to tell me via text that I was charged for the service that the technician provided. He listed the service. I had already in my email and phone call told David that she had not done all the things on the listed services. He said that that only thing he could do was to Zelle or Venmo me $5. He also offered me to go back to the salon and pay $20 for polish or to bring my own. I have never left a bad yelp review but this business had a chance to make it right and the way they handled it was disgusting. I never want anyone else to have to go through what I went through this morning. Not only was Tracy incredibly rude, the place is dirty, the chairs are old, do not have options for massage, the tools she was using will probably cause me an infection, and the salon was just in all ways not the place you'd imagine feeling relaxed and treated in . When I went to another place to get the gel put on, the technician pointed out several things that were wrong. Tracy had applied the first layer of clear gel (no color) and I had to pay extra to the second place to have it properly removed. Do yourself a huge favor and continue down the road and skip this place. If I had to give one star to allow the review to be posted- I would give it zero stars if I could. read more

Excellent techs who are patient and talented. I am very happy with my nails and the good service!

Wow. What a manager. This is embarrassing. Imagine getting bad reviews and doing this. Not changing my review. I've literally had to update this review THREE times now because the manager will not stop harassing me. You got a bad review. It is about YOUR salon. No one else's. There's no mistake. I am not calling you. The review is staying up. Learn to handle bad reviews better. This is embarrassing for your business. read more

I have had mixed experiences with this salon. The first time I had a pedicure and it was very good and it lasted a long time. The second one was sloppy and I had to have the manicurist correct one area. It did not last as long as the first time. I also don't like all the upselling of additional services. I am going to try another salon next time. read more

Such a great experience at Ocean NailBar. I went as a walk in; I asked for dip with tips and got exactly what I wanted. This place was very clean, comfortable and all the staff were very professional & welcoming. I have no complaints. My girl Chrissy was very tentative and asked how everything looked every step. My nails came out perfect and I can't wait to go back for my next set! I definitely recommend coming to this nail salon. read more

This is my go to nail spot. The nail techs are all very nice and they like to get to know you. Gave 3 stars because my fills always take 1 hour or more. The place has cute decor but NO service. I get bored sitting for an hour without any service lol. For reference my gel fills are just under $60 :) read more

If you are a local: do not come here. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I came here because my other amazing nail place is closed for construction, so I thought I'd support the one down the street and that was a complete mistake. I got a full set and a pedicure. The woman doing the pedicure did a great job but the woman Tracy doing my nails was already aggressive the second I sat down in the chair. She was yanking my hands and was filing my nails down so fast she sliced my finger open and it was gushing blood for a minute. Not even a sorry or stop the service to make sure I was good to clean and disinfect the area or my finger. Which as a licensed esthetician is what you are supposed to do, I know because I am one. She proceeded to grab my finger she sliced open and continue the service when I told her multiple times that's the one she cut open. I got charged full price for this terrible experience too, even with paint still all over my fingers. So do yourself a favor and go to Star nails down the street and not this tourist trap. So disappointed. read more

I think this was the BEST manicure and pedicure I have ever had! This place is so clean, organized, and located right on PCH. Let me tell you that my positive experience at this spa literally started from the moment I called to find out the prices and if they had an available appointment. Jennifer was so polite, kind, and patient on the phone. I really value customer service and this truly welcoming attitude I felt over the phone just continued as I stepped into this location. Jennifer warmly greeted me, Amber and Lisa did my gel manicure and spa pedicure. They were all so thorough, kind, and took care of me so well! They didn't seem rushed at all and they really cared about making sure I had a good experience. They were both very experienced and were really methodical with servicing me. This might be TMI but both of my big toenails were messed up. One was cracked and the other really torn and kept getting stuck on blankets, socks, etc. So that is one of the reasons I wanted a pedicure. They did a great job fixing both of these nails for me and I can't even tell that they were in such bad shape to begin with. If you are in or near Laguna Beach and want to really get your money's worth, I highly recommend you visit this nail spa... You will have no regrets! Thank you Ocean NailBar once again and I wish you much continued success! read more

My DIP manicure came off like stick ons. Horrible! I went on Saturday with my friends and here on Tuesday 7 of my dip nails have popped off in one piece. They started lifting the next day. It's only been 3 days. And it wasn't cheap either. $57 for dip manicure only. Super disappointed and won't be returning to let them "fix it". They ruined my nails. read more

This place is a bait and switch as far as pricing goes. I paid $33 for a buff manicure. (Without tip) Allegedly the upgraded service that I paid for did not include the buff or cuticle cutting BUT WOULD HAVE INCLUDED POLISH; Therefore I'm curious as to why A nail buff actually costs more when they actually do less work? . Perhaps instead of having a fancy upgrade sign they should spell out the fact that they do not perform normal and customary services as far as manicures go. read more

My favorite nail spa by far! Everyone is always super friendly and their services are on point. Joann gave me a solid first set with pink dreamy nails on gel. Kim has given me flawless designs on funky fresh matte & metallic. She's definitely on point and super nice! Spa pedicures are relaxing and done really well. Eyebrow wax is perfect! I went in with bushy brows and came out with eyebrows on flek ! Definitely returning and a very happy customer. read more

The girls were very welcoming & accommodating when my husband & I walked in. We had called ahead & made appointments. The actual nail treatment I received was a pedicure and a new acrylic set with gel polish. It turned out really well. They matched the regular polish for my pedicure to my fingernails. The toenail polish looked very nice. I would suggest you be very clear about what you want before you sit down. The nail technician had me sit in the pedicure chair & started my pedicure. For some reason they seated me in the pedicure chair with the rollers already on... Sometime these types of massage chairs feel great, but getting the position set to accommodate your height makes a big difference in how it feels. The pedicure chair was comfortable, after they turned off the rolling parts which were hurting my back, as I was squished in the chair. They helped me move the chair back as I am 5'10" and the person before me must have been very short. Then another girl came over and didn't ask, but just started my acrylic fill. I stopped her & requested she soak off the old acrylic set. She said most of them looked fine and did not seem to understand my request & started drilling. I again requested a soak off. To me that means put my fingers in the bowls & let me relax while I get my pedicure. She did not do that. She was drilling & pulling my right hand over to the left side where she drills and then back in the soak off bowl. It was frustrating and uncomfortable, not relaxing at all. It was totally my fault for not being clear about my preferences. The pedicure was probably very good but I was pretty miserable during the process and the extra leg massage was a waste of tine & money due to the soaking off drilling & then putting my hands under the gel light. The employees spoke Vietnamese during our nail appointment. I can not imagine that they do not understand how rude it is to carry on a conversation in a different language while providing a service. We will likely go back because they were friendly and did a nice job... the shop seemed clean & there was a liner in the pedicure bowl. If we return, I will be more clear before I sit down. I will also request they speak English as opposed to a language that I do not understand. If all goes well, I will write an update to this review. read more

My husband and i come into this nail salon every two weeks and LOVE IT. We moved to Laguna Beach in April and tried 2 other nail spots before finding this gem... it opened in May so they are also a fairly new spa with beautiful CLEAN decor and all the bells and whistles. Someone always answers the phone or responds to yelp made appointments quickly. They also offer dip powder nails which was very hard to find here in Laguna Beach! The girls are Soooo sweet and always make you feel comfortable and relaxed. The music is always very "vaca vibes" and they have great prices and packages! My favorite girls are always Cathy and Kim, they're so attentive and sweet and let you relax while you're there but also make friendly conversation. I've also gone to several of the other girls and they are also amazing and sweet! I love this place and I'm so so so happy to have found it and highly recommended it read more

I have for 2 years now been trying to find a good nail salon place. Finally I came to this place. I am 8 month pregnant and needed some TLC. I decided to get a Manicure and Pedicure for my Baby Shower. I was hesitant because most nail salons that I go to, the customer service has either been poor, or injured me. I AM HAPPY TO SAY THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! I am a first time customer and ordered the Ocean Royal package, with gel polish and it was what this new mother to be needed. The staff are all professional, friendly and did an amazing job. I was surprised it was so easy to book my appointment through TEXT! I am looking forward to my next visit, and even though I live more towards the Whittier area, I am more than willing to drive an hour to Laguna Beach just for the amazing treatment I received. Thank You so much, you made me feel like myself again! read more

They are very accommodating and great customer service. Love going there. Would highly recommend.

My daughter and I like to go together for pedicures, and they always do a beautiful job. It's also a nice, relaxing place to be with a friendly vibe. Today, they went above and beyond. I tied my 85-pound dog up outside because she's had separation anxiety post-pandemic. They kindly gave her a bowl of water, some treats and affection. But she also was made nervous by the pedestrians who kept walking by and my pedicurist said she could come in if she would sit nicely. Well, that my dog is very good at. She lay down between my chair and my daughter's, and my pedicurist was so sweet to her. It was a terrific experience and I really thank the lovely people here. Plus my pale-mauve toenails look terrific. Oh, and the pedicurist finished with a damp, hot washcloth against the soles of my feet -- heaven! read more
