I have been here two times (more than a year apart), I don't live in Laguna. Anyway, I returned for a second time b/c I remembered how great they were the first time. They are efficient and do high quality work. My feet feel great. My hands look fantastic and I got a nice massage too. The worst and most painful pedicure ever. Not sure what the staff member's name was; she gave my husband a pedicure and cut his middle toe, but that stopped bleeding. But tonight, the toe next to the little toe started bleeding profusely. The nail was cut back so short that the skin underneath is totally exposed, raw and bleeding. Apparently all his nails were cut too short. He says all his nails hurt. My mani pedi was good. But I am worried about what happened to my husband. Hope there is no permanent damage or infection. I have been getting mani/pedis for 40 years and never had anyone do such harm. Irresponsible, horrific and painful. Too bad. I liked this place very much. Tao did my pedicure. She had great attention to detail and was a very sweet, gentle person. The women worked well together to make sure everything moved along smoothly. While I was there, a woman came in because she had just "accidentally messed up a nail". The women quickly attended to her, and had her fixed and ready to go promptly. The place seemed very clean. Got a basic pedicure and powder dip mani. They did a very nice job, and were thorough and friendly. The pedicure was one of the best I've had, and well worth the $35 price tag. The powder dip manicure on the other hand (no pun intended) was, I felt, a little overpriced at $40. Not totally unreasonable, but not totally worth it, either. Again, they did a nice job, but didn't do anything special like a hand massage or even a nice moisturizer. Plus, they didnt have any colored powder, and instead just used regular nail polish on top of a natural pink shade. Not awful, but again, I expected a little more for the price. If I am in the area again, I will probably go back for a pedicure, but will stick to my manicurist back home and save the $10 plus tip. Since it is just an issue of price and not really of quality, I would give 4.5 stars if that were an option. Overall a great experience, but just a decent price. read more

It took about an hour and a half for a polish change on my toes and a gel manicure she definitely is very precise and takes her time and it's a little bit pricey but it's definitely worth it it's right by the beach and my manicure and pedicure look amazing. read more

I live in Laguna Beach, but I'm often tempted by the prices of other salons in Irvine or Newport. But every time I stray from Beautiful nails, it always turns out to be a waste of time and money!!! I'm a gel-mani fan and NO ONE can do a gel-mani like Beautiful nails!!! It can last me up to 3 weeks+!!! When I have it done at other places, it starts peeling after a couple days...sad! I hear what the other reviewers are saying about their prices. But you know what?? You get what you pay for. These ladies don't just give u a wam bam thank you ma'm treatment. They really take their time to scrub the calluses off your feet, and the cuticles on your nails. I hate when you go to a salon and they rush and you leave with rough feet and u have to touch up the job they did on your nails. Not here. They worked on my feet and hands for 40 minutes. My family and I love this place. We have been all over the Laguna area and find that this is a great team that always recognizes us and does their best to accommodate us. My mom, sister and I make it a point to go to Beautiful Nails every year when we travel to our place in Laguna Beach. I think we have been going back here for almost 7 years now. Some reviews say it's expensive but I have never had a manicure/pedicure last as long as the ones I get here. Before we found Beautiful Nails, I think I would need to go back at least twice while we were in Laguna. My manicures have always lasted longer and my pedicures could easily last the full month as well. (they might not want to hear that?!) Someone said, you get what you pay for and I agree. The one time my French manicure chipped, they fixed it at no cost. The team there is also very friendly. All of them do a great job. Back home I have to be very specific with the one or two people in the salon that I feel do a good job. Here, I haven't had any issues with any of them. The fact that they have a parking lot is nice too. It feels like we are just catching up with friends when we go back each year. We love this place. read more

I've been going to her studio for ten years and every time I'm out of town and have to use another studio I appreciate beautiful nails even more. Michelle, the owner and all of the ladies are amazing! They treat you like you're one of them and their friend, which I consider them mine. Love them and the studio. I called ahead to find out the price of a Pedicure and I was told it was $18.00. I walked in, sat down and had a nice pedicure. Then when I went to pay I was told it was $30.00! I did not have "sea salt" or whatever else they were upcharging me with! The minute the polish was on my toes I immediately pulled out of the chair and dismissed. Unbelievable. That was the most expensive pedicure in my life. I guess it cost $1.00 per minute, because I was there for 30 minutes and it cost me $30.00........no I did not leave a tip even though the manicurist stood there looking for one!! read more

Nail salons vary greatly now-a-days and in my opinion it's hard to find a place that takes their time. These women have MAGICAL HANDS! Their specialty is of course nails but I opted for a neck and shoulder massage (15mins for $20) and they went above and beyond my expectations. I nearly fell asleep and realized she had given me much more than 15 mins. All in all my pedicure was fabulous and my friend was thoroughly impressed. It was her first pedi in nearly 10 years and the ladies made her feel beautiful rather than embarrassed. Definitely will be visiting again next time I'm in OC! read more

Probably the worst manicure and pedicure I've ever gotten. Really nice people but the prices are CRAZY ($75-80 for mani pedi)?!?!? I went last week, my nail literally chipped 20 minutes after I left. Sadly I live very close to this place, and have been here several times. I never mind paying for quality and I've always had good manicures/ pedicures here. The last two times I've been here with my daughter for for gel manicure and a regular pedicure both times the owner has over charged me. The first time I over looked as a possible mistake, this time however I caught her red handed. She even explained the prices and still charged me more. Ripping off locals is a terrible way to do business. Especially for what I tip her employees. Hopefully she reads this and thinks again before being so shady. read more

I went here on a Saturday afternoon with my boyfriend and another couple. We called ahead to ensure they could accomodate the four of us, and were assured we could come right in. We waited over an hour to sit down, the two boys were forgotten about while two walk-ins were prioritized over them, and I have never been so rushed for such an expensive pedicure. My sandles were shoved back on my feet and I was booted from my seat the second my polish application was finished. Also, beware pricy add-ons that are offered without the warning that they will jack up the cost of your mani/pedi.
