Very disappointed this trip! Did not receive the deli meat for the soups and they were out of Ramen. Service wasn't terrible but not the best. They did give me a 20% discount and they were polite but my time and money was wasted.

So I am rating this a 4 because of a combination of things. First the experience is really cool. You get to choose your food from a conveyor belt to add items to your hot soup. A train and a robot with waiter will deliver grilled items. The food quality was okay. Ranging from fresh to low quality for some items. Plenty of shrimp in the shell, oysters, blue crab, couple of different noodles, the typical Asian stuff to throw in the soup of your making. I ate about 4 bowls with plus some grilled items. The desert items were not very impressive and a but anti climactic after the dinner. The service was great the staff worked super hard and did an awesome job for this grand opening. Price with tip and taxes it is about $40 for this buffet. I saw some folks really putting in the work.

This place was so fun! Not kid friendly! The staff was so sweet and attentive! The food was on a train or conveyor which was really cool! I was absolutely stuffed by the time I left. It is a little pricey but for all you can eat, it's well worth it. They had cool decorations on the ceiling!

THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. I loved it the train the robot everything was good. The conveyor belt was cool with the glass doors and the sushi bar was good. The service was good and they were surprised how much I ate I WISH I COULD GO AGAIN

It made my Saturday lunch time very fantabulous! I was very happy and super full from all the food selections here. The service was awesome and didn't mind to pay the weekend dinner price of $28.99 per person. Was definitely worth it. I skipped eating dinner coz I was literally stayed full leading up to dinner.

This is the only hotpot place in the area. We go there often. The train was fun and food is decent.

Wish I could give them 20 stars! My friend suggested we try this place out and as neither of us…read morehave ever been before we decided to try it. And I'm so glad we did! The service was top notch Kevin our waiter was perfect, he explained exactly what us first timers needed to know (we opted for the BBQ vs Hot Pot) and gave excellent amount of service without interrupting too often, but without ignoring. And now my favorite part the food.... We ordered the following for our meat selections: Prime Beef Brisket, Spicy Beef Bulgogi, Garlic Chicken, Pork Belly, Cumin Lamb and Garlic Shrimp. For veggies: Shiitake mushrooms, Mung Bean Sprouts, Onions, Bamboo Shoots, Eggplant, Zucchini and we topped it off with a pineapple drink. My friend said the veal and the pork belly were both delicious, I don't eat either so my review is based on everything else. OMG the flavors were so packed into the meats they needed nothing else. The spicy beef bulgogi was by far my absolute favorite (I polished off two full servings myself) the spice profile was so perfect that it enhanced the beef without masking the natural flavor and the use a good quality beef as well so any toughness is due to your own over cooking which still didn't happen. The shrimp and chicken came in tied for second place for flavor bomb, I'm pretty sure they marinate this stuff for days for it to taste so full of flavor! There is also a fully stocked "Sauce Bar" with so many different kinds of sauces and additions. The inside is very large, but not loud and they have a full bar for those who wish to sit there. If you haven't tried them yet GO! You and your stomach will thank me.

Had a great meal with friends on New Year's Day…read more The venue is older and needs a bit more effort on upkeep. It is eclectic, decorated in an Asian pop culture theme with [sometimes promiscuous lol] music videos playing on a big projector screen. And, it is honestly loud (booths are in rather close proximity to one another and there's constant clatter & commotion from the table action). We had a few issues - the grill didn't stay hot (either malfunctioning or low on fuel), there weren't any hot buffet options (like other locations offer), and a few menu items were unavailable (ran out) - but we enjoyed our meal, nonetheless. Even with a few missing offerings, there is plenty of variety - meats, seafood, vegetables, soups, noodles & rice. The sauce bar has many condiments & dips; you can play mad scientist with your seasonings/marinade. And, there was a cold buffet that offered kimchi and a few fruits. They also had a long list of beverages that included boozy cocktails and exotic smoothies or teas. Kevin was an outstanding server - extremely attentive & superbly patient (bless his heart for accommodating our rowdy and very needy group of newbies lol). He was assisted by a hard working team of table runners and busters who kept us stockpiled and refilled. The crew made sure things were never amiss. Some tips for first-timers: -The AYCE pricing is applied to the whole table, so you have to make a group decision if you want to do bbq or hotpot or both ($5 add on). -Holidays and weekends are priced for Dinner all day. -They don't take reservations, so there may be a wait (especially if you have a large group). -It is booth seating throughout, with a max of 6 people per booth. -You have a 2 hour time limit (which seems like a lot, but you do have to wait for meat to cook on the grill). Venue: 4.0 Ambiance: 3.0 Food (Taste / Variety) 4.5 Service: 5.0

There's a separate menu page dedicated to their new broth selections including Tom Yum, Golden Chicken, Spicy Miso and so much more. They've also introduced new hot items such as Soup Dumplings, Hargau, Siu Mai, and Tempura. These small bites were perfect palate changer between rounds of hot pot. The cuts of meat for hot pot were incredibly tender and the wagyu offered was beautifully marbled. Although each slice was generously cut, they were easy to split and share with the table. One of the highlights was the self-served shaved ice machine, a refreshing and sweet treat to perfectly end the meal. Prime Beef Shabu is currently one of my favorite places to get Hot Pot. The restaurant is clean , efficient, and ideal for enjoying a family styled dinner with loved ones.

We checked in and were told the wait without a reservation for 4 would be 20 minutes but they actually seated us in about 5. Seating capacity is 98. They took our order quickly and the meats came out fast. Just in case, there are items that cost extra like the wagyu. I had the house spicy broth. I thought it was pretty good and not too spicy for me but the wife was choking with the spiciness. We normally get 3 rounds of meat at kpot but we only went through 1 round here because the serving portions are larger. I was asked about or inquire about the "member price" shown on the menu. The wait staff came by frequently to clear plates and trash.

We've previously enjoyed doing the best of both worlds pairing, but since they've added Tom Yum, we now do the pot split 3 ways. The self-serve buffet always has fresh veggies and seafood choices. Our favorites include the spinach, bok choy, shrimp, clams, sweet potato, corn, and pumpkin. I think they've done away with the lobster balls which used to be my favorite, but I've since switched to dumplings which are tasty. I love the items from the hot bar- the orange chicken is yummy. Service was fast, and what seemed like a seemingly small building was actually bustling. We ordered the Best of Both Worlds option and requested the Spicy Bone Marrow along with the Tomato Broth; they complement each other quite well, with the Spicy Bone Marrow being our personal favorite. It is definitely spicy, but nothing that I couldn't handle. The Tomato Broth was delicious as well, but added a nice sweetness to our meal. We chose the Classic All-You-Can-Eat lunch deal, and ordered a plate of the Natural Prime-Aged Lamb, the Hand Sliced Beef Short Plate, the Marinated Garlic Beef, and the Pork Belly; I can't say I'm a huge fan of how they divided the meat selections, however, since I could get premium meat elsewhere without being limited. But overall, the meat was of decent quality, and the buffet offered various options. Compared to other hot pot places, they even had a section where you could serve yourself egg rolls, white rice/fried rice, and stir-fried noodles, though I can't speak to the quality... very much buffet-quality if you catch my drift, but still lovely nonetheless. Similarly, you can fetch your own iced drinks and dessert too. I do wish Happy Lamb's sauce station had special pre-made flavors or instructions for making them, much like Shabu Zone or Haidilao; sometimes I don't trust myself to freestyle my own sauce. There are some cross-contamination concerns as well, since there'd be about 4 tongs at foot/pants level, but at least 9 food options (e.g., noodles, dumplings, veggies) to choose from. Not sure if other people share the same sentiment, but I guess they all get boiled in the end anyway. Overall, it's a decent option if you're in Downtown Houston! But I wouldn't call Happy Lamb my go-to spot.

We explained it was our first time in and he nodded and seated us. Our waitress came over with an iPad and hurried away and said she'd be back. It took a while so we went ahead and ordered the base soups from the iPad, but when the waitress came back she explained how the order was already in and can't be canceled so we couldn't order the deluxe set menu. Which was disappointing, because the cost has now increased significantly. Then she talked us into the dancing noodles, which we agreed on because it was our birthday dinner. Unfortunately, she came back to say it wasn't available because the chef was not working. At this point we should have just left. We ordered lamb, meat, tofu, fish balls, beef tendon balls, assorted vegetables and mushrooms as well as the sauce bar. Food was great, a fun experience with the robot and cooking at the table. Everything was fresh and well organized. I just wish that we were informed of the deluxe menu vs the pick and choose. We left there paying about $150 with tip for 2 people. Tried to email the management as offered, but the email address does not appear to exist as I got a Failure Notice immediately.

Here, "I paid a lot for this meal so it must have been great" is the unconscious bias. But Jedi mind tricks don't work on me. For starters, we make it clear to our server that we'd never been there before and needed an explanation of what to do. The explanation we got kinda sorta answered the question, but not that well. Then, I simply picked wrong when I chose two meats for starters; I didn't care for the seasoning on the Spicy Beef Bulgogi or the Spicy Calamari. I also ordered eggplant, and what I got looked exactly like what my wife had recently thrown out at home because it was too old. You know how they constantly scrape the grille clean at a Mongolian BBQ? There's no way to do that here. When we asked if there was, the answer was "I'll get you a new one", which did temporarily solve the problem, but the new surface soon had a blackened coating no different from the one before. Finally I had the sense to order Garlic Shrimps [sic], which I recommend, but as I was cooking it, it seemed like it was taking a long time. Eventually I looked at the controls at the side of the table, and our burner was turned off! I turned it back on and we finished our meal. Overall, it had been an interesting experience, but one we'll probably not repeat.
