However, all the reviews were stellar so decided to give it a try. Its a vegetarian restaurant with vegan options. I am neither a vegetarian or vegan and still enjoyed my food very much! I love how the restaurant is actually a cozy house, and that its run by two sisters. I liked how they put a little bit of background about their restaurant and themselves in the menu. The menu was expansive, and included a good variety of different appetizers, noodle/rice dishes, curries, etc. My friend and I both got Thai Iced Tea to drink ($4.50) and it was soooo good! I ordered the pad see ew and she got the red curry. It was loaded with a variety of veggies and both dishes were flavoured well. One thing to note is that their prices are very reasonable ($12 a dish). I want to come back and try some other dishes!

The place was hopping busy and I think they were short staffed but they still did a decent job in checking in on everyone and food came about 30 minutes after we arrived. Now we loooooove Vietnamese food. Everything here was fresh and plentiful but it didn't leave any of really wanting to come back. The food was good but it's like it was missing that something extra to make it delicious. Maybe it's what we ordered and it's more of a pho speciality place? Anyhow, healthy fresh and gets the job done for fueling a hockey player.

I must say the pad thai was soooo goood! It didn't taste like traditional pad thai to be honest, so I wouldn't order it expecting that but it was very seafood-y (in the best way) and the flavor was still phenomenal. I'd order that and the tofu again, which was also unique and delicious. The pork sisig was good but on the saltier side. The first few bites were good but I may consider sharing that next time or just getting something else. The spot is cute and was able to accommodate my large party very quickly and the staff was awesome. Friendly and very helpful. Stop by here for a bite if you're in the area!

The laksa tasted a lot like Thai yellow curry. But the dish was delicious. The service was fine since it was not a lot of customers when we got there. I do appreciate that the restaurant indicated that this is an Asian fusion. They serve Filipino, Indonesian, Singaporean and Thai food here. They also provide parking and a clean washroom.

The pad thai had the right tang to it - not at all sweet or ketchupy like some restaurants. Soup was light and fragrant. The green curry was incredible. I've never been to Thailand before but my husband has and he said the flavours were legit. The kits come with fresh herbs and hard to find ingredients, such as galangal, lemongrass, chilies, shrimp paste, tamarind juice, palm sugar, peanuts, and fish sauce. Prices are reasonable - it works out to be less than Thai restaurants in Calgary but it tastes to me, much healthier and less sweet/oily. There are discounts if you order $100 or more, plus free delivery. Pro tip - cut up the chilies in tiny slivers. I thought it was a red pepper and chomped on it. My mouth was burning for a good hour.

They provided samples here for various types, green, red, yellow and Penang curry. They are all DELICIOUS! The price is average and I think about how much it is to go out for Thai, portion sizes are a lot smaller, I feel flavours are restaurant quality and I like how I know what is exactly going in the dish. You can substitute for what you like, coconut milk is provided and you can make it a "lighter" version by adding water. Rice is also provided and is really tasty. They are easy to make and fool proof! Easy directions with all ingredients provided to make, though you add your own vegetables and protein. I've bought all of them and love, it's a really good and fast supper. We add tons of vegetables and we have enough for me, my husband and leftovers for lunch. Downside is I wish they were more easily found! You can go to their website to find locations that carry these kits year round, though pricing is slightly better at the seasonal farmers market. They will give you $1 off if you bring back the box and if you buy 3 kits you'll get a free Tom Yum soup. BTW, I tried and it was also soooo good! Give Thai Manna a try you'll love!!

We were able to make a reservation for 9 but I noticed how busy it got during dinner rush because they are a small restaurant and have limited seating. That being said, I noticed a lot of people also ordered take out which is an option! Staff was friendly, restaurant was small but cute. As for the food, the apps were all really good. The papaya salad, fried tofu, and chicken wings were all a hit at our table, can't go wrong with any of them. I must say, the entree portions are LARGE so unless you eat a lot or intentionally want leftovers,I'd share. My pad Thai was enough for 2 meals but I was happy about it because the pad Thai was realllly good! The perfect amount of sauce and great flavor. I'd get it again. I also got the Thai tea which was good! The rest of my family got the Penang curry, pinapple fried rice, Thai fried rice, tom Kha soup, and lemongrass chicken. No one had any complaints so overall, a great place for Thai food.

When I walked in, I was both skeptical and kind of in awe at the same time. It felt like I walked into a movie set or a Christmas themed museum or something. There are so many decorations up but it also kind of just works. The first thing I'll bring up is the spice level. The spice levels are pretty similar to the true Thai spice levels. A hot level was giving me a good sweat while medium was just enough to burn the tongue a bit. The food itself was adequately described as authentic and delicious. The papaya salad in particular was very similar to the ones I've tried in Thailand. Great portion size and ratio between papaya and the other vegetables. It was absolutely delicious. The other reason why this restaurant is awesome is the customer service. From when I walked in to when I left, the server and who seemed like the manager or owner made sure everyone there was taken care of and didn't have to wait long for anything. I will definitely come back here when I visit Calgary again!

And our expectations were met, and exceeded! Although it's located in a funny little strip plaza, once you enter this lovely restaurant you immediately know it's different and managed by professionals. We were very politely taken to our reserved table, which they had situated in a private nook. Very nice. For a first course (and appetizer), Linda had a Tom Kha Gai soup, small, which is chicken and mushrooms in coconut milk with herbs and Thai ginger. She didn't want to share with me, but told me how absolutely delicious it was. Full of flavours, nuanced and layered. In a soup! I had the Tom Yum Goong, small, which a Thai creamy style hot and sour soup with prawns and mushrooms. The mild, delicious Enoki mushrooms, sometimes called golden needle mushrooms, were an exciting addition to this wonderful soup. Hands down, this was the best Tom Yum Goong I've tasted since my friend Mai's restaurant in Oakville back in 1997. Dinner for Linda was a Green Curry. Of course! She'll order a green curry anywhere we go, anytime! Served with zucchini, broccoli and green beans, she said it was one of the best she's ever had. Strong layered flavours. For those who love curry (like Linda), she said this is the best anywhere. I had the Chu Chi Basa, which is a basa fillet (lots, actually) drizzled with a rich red curry sauce, and served on a bed of exceptional raw young spinach. This was absolutely delicious. All the distinct flavours were present and identifiable. The fish was delicious, crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. I can't say enough good about this dinner and this restaurant. It's a bit out of the way, but easy to find. It deserves to be known by all Calgarians who love authentic Thai food. Presentation: 5/5.
