Good food! Kid friendly and service was good. Portion sizes of plates are good and would recommend two dishes per person and coconut rice very tasty.

Combo #1 it had shrimp Panang curry, cashew chicken curry, jasmine rice, spring roll, salad, kebab like chicken...

Had good food for lunch.. We chose the combo 1 and it served for 2 people... Worth for the money... Will prefer to go again... Good ambience, good serving time, good taste... One thing I felt missing was the spice level which other Thai restaurants usually have...

I've always enjoyed this restaurant. It has Thai decorations, but not over the top, and lots of humorous sayings on plaques to keep us amused. The owners seem to have a sense of humour and aren't afraid to be unique, which is a nice change in this day and age. The service and food has always been good in the past and was again this time too. A friend and I met here, ordered the Papaya Salad with medium spice, the Lemon Chicken appetizer and the Swimming Rama (who could resist a name like that!) with coconut rice. It was lovely to have a gluten-free "breaded" item but it didn't quite live up to my expectations, it was a bit past crunchy and more into just hard. It was fine when I dipped it into the peanut sauce that was part of the Swimming Rama though. And I did quite like the lemon sauce so not all was lost. The Papaya salad was something I've not had before, I enjoyed it, but can't say if it was the way it was supposed to be or not really. For dessert we each had the Mango/coconut rice and it was just fine. We managed a couple of pots of Thai tea as well. It was an herbal tea, naturally sweet, with a subtle flavour of its own. You can buy boxes of it to take home, which I might just do next time I want to add to my tea collection. It looks like they have a buffet option as well, but I didn't pay attention to it as buffets are generally a mine field for gf folk. I have to remember to pop in for lunch more often when I am doing business at this end of the city, the parking is free, the prices are reasonable, the food tasty and the service quick. :-)

We stopped in for lunch today. I think we were the only customers. Our meals arrived quickly, piping hot and very tasty. We will come back.

I visited Auttarote Thai Cuisine while on a business trip. I was told that this Thai restaurant has…read moresome truly authentic Thai food so I was excited to try it out. When I walked in, I was both skeptical and kind of in awe at the same time. It felt like I walked into a movie set or a Christmas themed museum or something. There are so many decorations up but it also kind of just works. The first thing I'll bring up is the spice level. The spice levels are pretty similar to the true Thai spice levels. A hot level was giving me a good sweat while medium was just enough to burn the tongue a bit. The food itself was adequately described as authentic and delicious. The papaya salad in particular was very similar to the ones I've tried in Thailand. Great portion size and ratio between papaya and the other vegetables. It was absolutely delicious. The other reason why this restaurant is awesome is the customer service. From when I walked in to when I left, the server and who seemed like the manager or owner made sure everyone there was taken care of and didn't have to wait long for anything. I will definitely come back here when I visit Calgary again!

The colorful décor gave the whole place a lively vibe. We didn't have a reservation, but since it was a Monday night, we were seated right away. As vegetarians who don't eat eggs or fish sauce, we were a little unsure about what we could order. When we asked, our waiter kindly brought out an entirely separate vegetarian menu, which was amazing. The spring rolls were absolutely delicious, but the massaman curry was a bit disappointing--it was watery and lacked flavor, though the portion size was generous. Overall, it was still a great experience, and I'd consider coming back to try other dishes.

And our expectations were met, and exceeded! Although it's located in a funny little strip plaza, once you enter this lovely restaurant you immediately know it's different and managed by professionals. We were very politely taken to our reserved table, which they had situated in a private nook. Very nice. For a first course (and appetizer), Linda had a Tom Kha Gai soup, small, which is chicken and mushrooms in coconut milk with herbs and Thai ginger. She didn't want to share with me, but told me how absolutely delicious it was. Full of flavours, nuanced and layered. In a soup! I had the Tom Yum Goong, small, which a Thai creamy style hot and sour soup with prawns and mushrooms. The mild, delicious Enoki mushrooms, sometimes called golden needle mushrooms, were an exciting addition to this wonderful soup. Hands down, this was the best Tom Yum Goong I've tasted since my friend Mai's restaurant in Oakville back in 1997. Dinner for Linda was a Green Curry. Of course! She'll order a green curry anywhere we go, anytime! Served with zucchini, broccoli and green beans, she said it was one of the best she's ever had. Strong layered flavours. For those who love curry (like Linda), she said this is the best anywhere. I had the Chu Chi Basa, which is a basa fillet (lots, actually) drizzled with a rich red curry sauce, and served on a bed of exceptional raw young spinach. This was absolutely delicious. All the distinct flavours were present and identifiable. The fish was delicious, crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. I can't say enough good about this dinner and this restaurant. It's a bit out of the way, but easy to find. It deserves to be known by all Calgarians who love authentic Thai food. Presentation: 5/5.
