Yellow curry with prawns is one of my absolutely favorite plates. I order it at every Thai restaurant I visit. The one from this restaurant was a setback from the many I have tried before. I was unimpressed with the flavor of the curry. As well as, the plate had very little curry sauce to eat with the rice, which was an extra charge as the rice is not included with the curry. The plate came beautifully decorated, but was lacking flavor. Servers were attentive. The establishment looks clean and it is heavily decorated with a Thai theme. Parking is accesible and free.

I got #39 basil with chicken. The portion size was good, I got it with medium heat, which wasn't much. Overall it was fine, but as with most Thai places, I still find it annoying that I'm paying $18 for the dish but I still have to pay more money for rice. The dish my friend got was incredibly tasty, but unfortunately, I don't recall the name. That one had Thai hot, so I didn't try too much of it, but you could still get the flavour of the dish. The presentation was really nice too (on a pineapple).

    - local - fresh - CLEAN - vegetarian options - fairly priced ...they practice COVID-19 safety to a tee & best of all you get fresh, family made, delicious food. 5 stars!

    Amazing artistic garnishes

Excellent Thai food and an ambience that is like no other place in the city. The servers are very attentive and will cater your meal to any allergies. I would recommend Jurees to anyone.

Snow is falling, wind is blowing...a trip to Thailand is in order! Or at least a 'reasonably produced facsimile' in a Calgary strip mall. What we loved: The appetizer platter {Spring rolls, tender beef satay, chicken wings, squid}! I am still trying to figure out how they stuff the chicken wings. The three sauces were tasty and each appy was delicious. The coconut rice? Soft, creamy and the coconut sang on our taste buds. The authentic uniforms are gorgeous. The decor is calming and tropical. What we weren't as in love with: I didn't like my drink. The coconut it came in was delicious and the flesh soft. But, the drink itself had a taste I didn't enjoy. My friend told me at the end of the meal that his rye and coke was = a coke. A fact confirmed when the server asked him if he wanted another Pepsi. The potatoes in the curry were not cooked and the prawns were a bit less in amount than I would have wished. That being said, it was a dish we had requested with prawns in lieu of other meat and the server was very accommodating. I am really undecided about the Gai Lan with Crispy Pork. From the name we were expecting "crispy" like KFC is crispy chicken. Instead the meat was "cartilage" in texture and soft and neither of us were jumping for joy. However, I had the leftovers as a midnight snack - cold - and they were DELICIOUS. Balanced layers of salty and sweet. Thus, I reserve judgment. Service is friendly and mostly efficient. The atmosphere is a win. I would return for the coconut rice and appetizer platter alone. Dinner and drink (s) came to approximately $64 (before tip). Thai one on at Juree's!

Can you believe that this place used to be a Burger King? Mind blown. It was pretty busy for an early Friday evening; there was a constant flow of people coming in and out to grab takeout. The inside is lush and relaxing with green walls, fish tanks and Thai music videos playing in the background. - Coconut rice (#64) ($6.00 large) - fluffy and aromatic. Large was perfect amount to share between three. - Matsaman curry with beef (#27) ($15.00) - I haven't enjoyed a matsaman curry in a long time but this one was great. We only got it "mild spicy"; the flavours were well balanced and harmonious. - Green curry (#24) ($15.00) - green curry was also well executed and had a bit more heat to it than the matsaman. - Pad thai (#54) ($15.00) - According to K, whose been here multiple times, the pad thai is usually awesome but something was off this time around. I thought the noodles were pretty lumpy and didn't have much spring to them. Just passable. Tough to say how it matches up against White Elephant as I've only been once to both places but our meal at JT was solid enough.

I was so disappointed with this restaurant. I've had a lot of Thai food and I've never ever been this disappointed ever. First of, the service was good and the restaurant decor made it legit. I ordered 5 dishes to share between 3 people. This includes tom yum soup, their signature fish, pad see ew, chicken pad Thai, chicken with cashew and coconut rice. The soup came out first and it wasn't fill up to the top...Everything else came out after. None of the dishes stood out to me. Each dish is over $15. Their signature dish is $22 if I remember it right. I don't mind the price, but the portion didn't add up to the price. Overpriced. Small portion. Little protein. 70% veggies. Felt ripped off. Would I come back? I don't think so. It was very disappointing.

Disappointing food. The satay meat skewers were the worst, they were extremely dry and hard to chew on. The skewers tasted like jerky from a convenience store... while consuming this I was questioning the meat source because it was so roasted to the point you don't know if you're eating beef. Came with a side of toasted whole wheat bread... like what the... just take it out of the equation because it's not appealing to eat or look at. Pad Thai was a disappointment too because it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Curry was the only thing good in comparison to the other two dishes. If you come here just get the curry.

    Sweet and sour chicken

Jurees is our go to for Thai food in the northwest. The food is consistent and always delicious. The smells lure you and the choices are abundant. Had the jurees house special whole fish, sweet and sour chicken (my husband always wanted to try it), papaya salad and coconut rice. The papaya salad never disappoints, the rice was satisfying. We agreed we should have not ordered both the chicken and fish as both were on the sweet side, but would have tasted great separately with perhaps the Thai basil beef or chicken. Jurees is high on our go to list!

I've been here several (10+) times with my family. They have a handful of vegetarian options on the menu, of which the Tofu with Basil quickly became my favourite regular. Normally, I order it medium-spicy, which I found to be warm but not overwhelming. Tonight I ordered it hot, to see if I could handle it- unfortunately the dish they brought me had almost no spice whatsoever (mild). When I brought it up to the waitress, expecting that they would remedy it, she just shrugged and said they had a new chef and then walked away. While I still enjoy the dish, I'm disappointed by the service and not sure I will choose to return.

Silver Dragon offers a unique experience having some dishes not carried in the united States. And the prices were cheap. Everything is moving fast too especially with a group the knows what they want. I think it made it confusing to the cart ladies trying to listen to everyone speaking at the same time but they provided correct answers. Everything was well done and presented. We got shrimp and pork shumai, pork buns, baked pork buns, egg custards, short ribs, etc. All in all we picked up about 20 dishes. That came to about $200 Canadian dollars, about $137 American dollars. With prices like that the thought of moving to Canada is real. However, the cold winter snow prevents me entertaining that thought at length.

I'm not sure why. The siu mai was mushy. The har gow was okay. The beef rice noodle roll was tasteless. My wife didn't like it. The tofu skin roll (sin jook goon) was not very good either. We only ordered 4 dishes because what we ordered was not good. We didn't want to order anything else. The worst dimsum place in the San Gabriel Valley is better than this place. Not a fan of this place. They might be better for dinner? Non dimsum? Service was better than the food.

It's easy to not even know it's there, if you are traversing the Plus 15's between the two buildings -- you need to sidestep through the doors of "First Alberta Place," and it will be sitting in the back corner: one wall a soup and sandwich counter, and one wall a Chinese buffet. There's nothing here to "wow" you: hand written information on the wall. A pretty limited selection of sandwich toppings. Not a lot of variety of soups day to day. Scowls. And most importantly, they take cash only (I've been burned by this at the register once or twice when I forgot). But you can get a pretty damn cheap lunch here. Seriously -- for the longest time, the large soup was two bucks (or maybe it was even less)? On days where I forgot my wallet and thought I'd starve to death, Apple bailed me out with their two dollar soup (that much change inevitably kicking around my desk and amongst my pocket lint). And you serve the soup yourself, so you can make it as "hearty" as you wish (to hell with the stragglers showing up late -- they can have broth). I was there a moment ago, and soup has gone up to $2.65. It was around $2.00 in 2006 when I started going. Not a bad increase, and still plenty cheap. BLT's were $3.95 today You get the idea: cheaper lunch than what you can brown bag.
