Five-star Thai with a food-court front. Who would have thought that nestled amongst a Subway®, a Taco Time®, and all your other usual food court suspects, would live some of the best Thai food that Calgary has to offer (certainly that I've ever had). The menu changes depending on what Jackie (and yes, it's actually Jackie who makes the food) has cooked up for the day. There are usually red, green, and yellow curries, but the meat and veggie combinations are switched up all the time. It's wonderful - every visit feels like a new experience! They always have creamy delicious options that would be friendly towards most peoples' taste buds, but if you are in the mood for something a little spicier, be warned, they are not afraid to turn up the heat! As far as the ambiance - well, it's in a food court, so it's plastic trays and paper plates all the way. The food is fantastic, and the price can't be beat. Grab a couple meals to go, take a two minute walk to Prince's Island Park, and you've got yourself a memorable date-night for under $20.

Still open in Eau Claire! Pad Thai is still great! Was worried the pandemic got ya.

Best Thai food in the city, very personable owners who make great food. This is my go to place for Thai food.

When I walked in, I was both skeptical and kind of in awe at the same time. It felt like I walked into a movie set or a Christmas themed museum or something. There are so many decorations up but it also kind of just works. The first thing I'll bring up is the spice level. The spice levels are pretty similar to the true Thai spice levels. A hot level was giving me a good sweat while medium was just enough to burn the tongue a bit. The food itself was adequately described as authentic and delicious. The papaya salad in particular was very similar to the ones I've tried in Thailand. Great portion size and ratio between papaya and the other vegetables. It was absolutely delicious. The other reason why this restaurant is awesome is the customer service. From when I walked in to when I left, the server and who seemed like the manager or owner made sure everyone there was taken care of and didn't have to wait long for anything. I will definitely come back here when I visit Calgary again!

And our expectations were met, and exceeded! Although it's located in a funny little strip plaza, once you enter this lovely restaurant you immediately know it's different and managed by professionals. We were very politely taken to our reserved table, which they had situated in a private nook. Very nice. For a first course (and appetizer), Linda had a Tom Kha Gai soup, small, which is chicken and mushrooms in coconut milk with herbs and Thai ginger. She didn't want to share with me, but told me how absolutely delicious it was. Full of flavours, nuanced and layered. In a soup! I had the Tom Yum Goong, small, which a Thai creamy style hot and sour soup with prawns and mushrooms. The mild, delicious Enoki mushrooms, sometimes called golden needle mushrooms, were an exciting addition to this wonderful soup. Hands down, this was the best Tom Yum Goong I've tasted since my friend Mai's restaurant in Oakville back in 1997. Dinner for Linda was a Green Curry. Of course! She'll order a green curry anywhere we go, anytime! Served with zucchini, broccoli and green beans, she said it was one of the best she's ever had. Strong layered flavours. For those who love curry (like Linda), she said this is the best anywhere. I had the Chu Chi Basa, which is a basa fillet (lots, actually) drizzled with a rich red curry sauce, and served on a bed of exceptional raw young spinach. This was absolutely delicious. All the distinct flavours were present and identifiable. The fish was delicious, crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. I can't say enough good about this dinner and this restaurant. It's a bit out of the way, but easy to find. It deserves to be known by all Calgarians who love authentic Thai food. Presentation: 5/5. I had the green curry, which was fine, but I have had better in many other places. My daughter ordered the vegetable fried rice, and when the server read the order back he said Pad Thai, and we corrected him...and she got tofu Pad Thai. She hates it when we have to say something when something goes wrong so she ate the Pad Thai, and you could tell while she didn't complain, she didn't love it. Wife had cashew chicken and ate every bite, and the teen boy had drunken noodles, which he devoured. Overall an okay experience, with some bumps. I'd give it a try again.

We ordered three entrees: the chicken fried rice, the basil beef, and the drunken chicken. Just know that if you want rice, you must pay for it separately that's why we got fried rice. All the dishes were mild by default, but when we asked for heat, they brought out a cute little platter of hot sauces which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, while the service was friendly and attentive, the food itself was just average. Everything could've used a bit more seasoning and flavor punch. If you're looking for solid Thai food in a laid-back setting with good service, it's worth checking out, but don't expect to be blown away.
