ChiShack opened last week, curiously locating themselves amidst the established triangle composed of Teddy's, Buona Beef, and Portillo's, while offering very similar fare. The hot dogs were as good as anywhere else in the area. My family did not like the regular fries as they were soggy and flimsy. An avid lover of the combo (Italian beef and sausage), I was anxious to try this place. After all, they located their business between Portillo's and Buona. Their beef and sausage are good, and would be popular in a lot of places. Unfortunately, it's not good enough for where they are located and lacks the uniqueness or quality to make me want to return for their combo, but I will give them another shot as they just opened last week. Digressing: The sandwich immediately reminded me of a sandwich shop on Vincennes in the industrial area of South Holland. Yelpers gave that restaurant 4.5 stars, but there's no way it would get 4.5 stars in this location. I swear they use the same bun and beef supplier. The inside has a Chicago theme that looked pretty good. The service was understandably slower than you would expect. The cashier was pleasant, albeit visibly cold from the drive thru window. They should let her wear a hoodie or jacket or something. Overall, this is my type of place; yet there are other similar establishments nearby. It will be interesting to see how long they can stay open. Do they have a signature item? The hot dogs were pretty good. They had a blue line and a red line sub that sounded pretty good. Been here a few times had the chicken tenders and cheese fries also had the double bacon burger. It is honestly my favorite burger joint in the area. They have great food all made fresh to order. The taste and quality is amazing. Usually it's not to busy which is surprising because in my opinion they are better than Portillo's. Plus it's a local shop not a big chain which means better sourced food. If your in the area I do recommend trying. read more

They were having some technical difficulties with the drive thru but quickly came out and waived me around. They could not have been nicer about the whole thing and were so sweet. I would say that Chishack is as good as it gets. For the price and selection I must say that they will become my go to place for Chicago style food in local area. Their hotdogs are less greasy than other spots. The hotdogs are also bigger and have more sports peppers if requested. I certainly feel satisfied and don't hate myself due to sodium after 2 hot dogs. It is certainly a huge plus for the price. The parmesan garlic fries taste fresh and are not soaked in grease. I would recommend them as it's a fresh take on typically boring fries. Salads are big and tasty. Chicken wings actually taste like chicken and are not absolutely covered with flour. There is a fair amount of crunchy skin, but there is certainly more chicken in them than other joints. Chicken wings also come with sauce/dressing. The interior of the restaurant is small but clean. We saw this place on our way to church. After church we decided to roll the dice and give it a try. It was the BEST decision. The place is a little on the small side but very nice decor. At first I thought it was going to be another "That Burger" (not so good). Man was I surprised. My hubs got the double chishack burger w garlic butter and parmesean fries and I got the blue line turkey sub. The burger was AMAZING it was so juicy and so fresh. My sub was huge and also fresh and delicious. The fries were amazing, so crispy and tasty, probably the best fries I have ever had. I highly recommend anyone to try this place! Fresh delicious food is always a plus. I went in this morning to get the family some donuts that we've all been eagerly to try and they did not disappoint. They were some of the prettiest donuts I've ever seen and the taste matches!!! When chishack first opened I would've given it 1 star. I decided to give them another chance a couple months ago and have been addicted since. They're chiburger is one of the best burgers I've ever had. The ratio of the lettuce, tomato, chisauce, onion, meat, and cheese is spot on. It's not greasy either! Where do I start. Ordered 2cheeseburgers, cheese not melted. Stale bun. Asked for grilled onions, nope. Asked for them to be cut, nope. Asked for ketchup and salt, nope. Also, they must have gone to Arlington heights race track for the meat, or should I say horse meats. Worst meat I have ever had hands down. Fries were just ok, nothing special. Chicken tenders are above any others I've ever had and you can tell they're made with real chicken. The employees are friendly. Solid 4 star experience here today. I ordered a maxwell style polish, fries, and a green river. The polish was very fresh, and had a great smokey flavor. The onions werent very caramelized, but they werent bad or anything. The fries were nothing special, but were also not bad. The best part, in my opinion, was the price! $7.50 for all that food. The good- Nice employees,they asked how I liked my burger cooked,the chicken tenders were fresh not frozen. The bad- I went through the drive thru and I waited exactly 18 minutes for 1 burger and some chicken strips. I didn't expect it to be fast food fast,but 18 minutes is too long for what I ordered. The prices are too high. My chicken strips were very one note,I tasted pepper only,they were not crispy and not very tasty. I tasted my guys burger. I have nothing good to say about it except they did a good job making it medium well. My boyfriend said that he can make a better burger at home. We visited Chishack when they first opened and wasn't too thrilled with the food. I chalked it up to needing to work out the bugs since it was new restaurant. I stopped in tonight because Portillo's was packed, and I am glad I did. The Italian Beef sandwich is 100 times better than it was on our first visit, and the fries were great too.
