Roasted cauliflower with carrot hummus, Cipolini onion and chimichurri. (Vegan)

Our table ordered martinis, Aperol Spritzes, Chardonnay, the house Desert Jewel cocktail, gnocchi, steak frittes, the cheeseburger and roasted cauliflower. We've been many times over many years (back to the Viceroy days), and keep coming back for the ambiance, laid back vibe, service, cocktails and food. Breakfast, lunch, Happy Hour, dinner, inside, poolside, covered outside, year round it's a consistently nice experience when we visit friends in Palm Springs. We have always found street parking, but have seen valet service available many times if preferred. (Note: The Avalon is a classic PS hotel, and the Estrella Spa is a nice option.) We were too busy talking and laughing to take more pictures. Sorry, come in and try it yourself!

Come for breakfast served 8-11 daily!! Super flavorful, fresh, and a good assortment of options for everyone. I especially liked their freshly squeezed juice options. The Avalon breakfast was huge, probably enough to split and the breakfast burrito was also a great choice to split, highly recommend enjoying breakfast poolside.

Very charming little restaurant located at the Avolon Hotel. Cozy, quiet and small. The food was just average but the service was exceptional. We would go back just for the excellent service. If you are staying at the hotel, the breakfast was better and the service just as amazing. Only downside is the parking.

Stopped in for a casual meal and it really delivered. The turkey bacon sandwich was simple but satisfying, with fresh ingredients and great flavor. The spicy cucumber margarita was the standout, refreshing with just the right kick. Service was quick and the atmosphere felt relaxed, perfect for an easy lunch or afternoon bite. Portions were solid and everything came out fast. It's a dependable spot when you want something tasty without a long wait or fuss.

Hands-down one of the best restaurants in Palm Springs, Chi Chi at the Avalon Hotel delivers every time. The food is always fresh, delicious, and cooked to order with incredible attention to detail. The ambiance is unbeatable--relaxed, stylish, and perfect for a laid-back afternoon or a dreamy evening under the palms. The service? Impeccable. Every visit is made better by the amazing staff--especially Jasmine, who always takes care of us poolside with the warmest smile and best service. Be sure to try the coconut drink--it's refreshing, tropical, and absolutely addictive. Whether you're a local or visiting, Chi Chi is a must. Highly recommend!

Stopped here for their restaurant week menu. Selected the roasted sweet potato and wedge salad to start. Both were very tasty. The one entree was salmon and the other was a broccoli steak (vegetarian). Both were very good. The restaurant was small, waiter was excellent, and the food was very good. There is a small bar - the ambiance is okay

    Inside

Restaurant was super cute and cozy. Loved the decor and vibes inside very cute. The service was great our waiter was super nice. We ordered the bread and butter I recommend it's like whipped butter very yummy. Also ordered the burrata toast it's the same bread as bread and butter so didn't need both but it was also very yummy had a unique yummy flavor. Also ordered the steak frites honestly not what you usually expect for steak frites it was very thick cuts of meat and pretty well done even though I wanted medium and it came cold it didn't seem like a skirt steak. Changed regular fries to waffle cut and def recommend the waffle fries were great Other than the steak everything was great and I'd definitely go back.

Food itself was good just a bit expensive. Great service delivering by the poolside, which was relaxing. Açaí bowl had so many great toppings on it like fruit and granola. I added salmon to the Cesar salad. Burrata and avocado toast was filling, added an egg.

Stopped in today, and this is now one of our favorite little Palm Springs bars! It is small, intimate, but really cool vibe. Our bartender, John was the best, and struck up a wonderful conversation with an interesting couple from the UK who have lived here 40 yrs and been married 56 years! Chi Chi's has happy hour daily 3-6 pm. I had a Summer Sol cocktail w/ rose vodka, rose wine, mango boba (delightful), and a splash of soda - light and refreshing ($10) and a really tasty white sangria, not too sweet, w/ white wine, peach schnapps, rosemary simple syrup and lemon (just $8). My husband had the Garden Cooler cocktail w: gin, cucumber, basil and lime (very tasty, $10) and nice glass of Sonoma rose ($11). They also have apps - guac and salsa; truffle fries; crudite, ricotta gnocchi, Napa cabbage salad, fried chicken sliders and beef sliders, just $10-12. Loved it, and will definitely be returning!

We had a wonderful time dining here tonight. Bright, welcoming space, fantastic team, and absolutely delicious food. They have so many specials for different days of the week. I might just have to return for Margarita Mondays. They recognize locals, and I really appreciate that! Also, thanks Sarah for a wonderful experience!!

Was in Palm Springs for my bachelorette party and stopped here for some tapas before going out. Definitely recommend ordering all the apps and sharing! Our favorites were the skewers, the gnocchi, and the truffle fries. The cherry on top was the PB&j cheesecake for dessert! Ambiance was great and it was the perfect weather to sit outside. Big shoutout to our server Alfredo who was so patient and kind!!! Will definitely be back next time I'm visiting Palm Springs.

Breakfast portions to share! The restaurant offers substitutions (Gluten Free and Vegan). Had the breakfast sandwiches. The GF bread didn't fall apart and held well with the spread and egg. A rare find for a sandwich. Pack a ton of flavor and served with two hash browns. Recommend mixing your hot sauce with ketchup for the perfect dip. Had the chilaquiles on day two of my visit. Really big portion. Would recommend sharing. Side salad and avocado are a great addition. Cold brew is from a can but they selected a great cold brew to offer. Ordered the green juice to go. Had a great flavor and tastes fresh. Servers are friendly and fast. Very clean location. The hotel and this restaurant are everything you hope for in a Palm Springs stay.

Chilaquiles and their Sunrise fresh pressed juice

My fiancée and I dined at CHi CHi while staying in Palm Springs from LA. It's nice that it's in the Avalon, and tucked back from the main boulevard. Overall a little more quiet and intimate whether dining inside or outside (always nice to be by a pool). We had the chilaquiles, which were great by any standards. A nice spice level, tasty crema and loved the texture of the chips (not hard, not soggy, just right). I recommend getting the egg over easy so it binds everything together. Service was great, very laid back, attentive and friendly. Always love asking for their favorites. Extra points for having an espresso machine and fresh juices. Overall, a nice breath of fresh air and a good selection of different items for any dining mood.

We were immediately whisked away into a night of unrivaled service and culinary perfection. Tucked away in one of Palm Springs' most charming shopping plazas, this meal was easily the highlight of my week. The menu is brilliantly varied, but a few dishes truly stole the show. The grilled artichoke is a classic, but their execution of it is completely elite. The Halibut main was a revelation--hands down the best I've ever tasted. And you must save room for dessert because the Berries and Cream was worth every single bite. Absolutely delectable. Top it all off with A+++ service from a flawless staff, and this place is worth every bit of the hype.

Reservations are notoriously hard to get, but we got lucky with a last-minute walk-in and were seated after 15-20 min wait. There's plenty of parking, and if you do have to wait, they have a cute little covered outdoor seating area with chairs and tables where you can relax. We sat on the patio, which was surprisingly cool and comfortable, so don't let the Palm Springs heat scare you away. The whole restaurant has such a sexy, colorful, candlelit vibe that somehow feels both lively and intimate. We kept the drinks simple and ordered Hugo Spritzes, which were refreshing and perfectly made for a hot afternoon. What we ordered: * Caramelized Onion Tart (Puff pastry, chive, Comté) - This was recommended by our server and I can see why. It reminded me of French onion soup wrapped in a flaky puff pastry. Rich, savory, and definitely shareable since it is a bit on the heavier side. * Red Thai Curry Mussels (PEI mussels, ginger, garlic, lemongrass, red chile, coconut milk) - WOW. This was hands down my favorite dish. The broth was incredible, rich and packed with flavor without feeling too heavy. I was worried the lemongrass might overpower everything, but it was perfectly balanced. It comes with toasted bread and trust me, you'll want every last drop of that broth. I'd honestly come back just for this dish. * Steak Frites - The steak was cooked perfectly medium and was delicious. The fries were crispy and seasoned well, making it a classic done right. * Broccolini - Simple but really good with a nice char that added great flavor. Overall, we had a great experience. The atmosphere is one of the best parts..beautiful, moody, and full of personality..but the food absolutely held its own. Service was friendly, the patio was comfortable, and now I completely understand why it's one of Palm Springs' hardest reservations to get. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

If you didn't know better you'd think you were in LA in the summer, excepty for the bocce ball. They have an excellent selection of spirits, cocktails. Maybe a little varied, but decently creative. Sure you pay for everything for decor, glassware and not just spritis, but I recall wondering how they price their drinks becuase not everything is equal or standard mark up when some things aren't house made it's easy to cost out becuase you stop paying for creativity after a certain point. It feels like they took alot of Mr. Lyons business model and use that for pricing rather than a sole entity with their own margins. The service makes up for it, the ambiance makes up for it. The crowd makes up for it. Far less wrinkled and aging snowbirds and retirees circling the drain in their waning days. It caught our attention as we had stayed in two different Kimpton Hotels in Seattle prior. We wanted to grab a drink at the Window Bar (not knowing that was its actual name, but the conversation we had with the bartender about that window shining too much light at certain parts of the morning definitely gave me a chuckle in hindsight). We happened to be a bit early since he had not been able to finish setting up shop yet. We went ahead and waited until he was ready without rushing him because we ourselves weren't in any rush at all. Surrounded by a ton of nice interesting artwork, it was a pure joy to enjoy a drink or two in this environment. The bar can be found at the corner on the other side of the hotel concierge in plain sight from such a big space for a lobby, directly left upon entrance through the front. Since it was slow in the morning, we were able to chat it up with the bartender and even explore a bit of experimentation in the form of a particular top secret cocktail that every mixologist knows. I definitely exercised my etiquette and reading the conditions to even suggest it. He couldn't be any nicer about our time with him. So yeah, Christopher H. from 9/9/18, I don't know what you're talking about. I make it a point to visit the bar at any Kimpton location nowadays. I always seem to have a good time.
