I have been to that gas station dozen of time over years. Upon arrival, I went to the building to pay cash and the attendant and his patron started changing the door sign from OPEN / CLOSED back and forth within about 2 second intervals. The door was open, so I entered and requested $50.00 of pump gas. Jose took the MONEY and then stalled looking out of the window and fidgeting with items on the countertop. I asked if the station was open for service, and Jose became hostile and threatening. Jose then provided a RECEIPT and continued with his threats. I left the building and went to the gas pump and no gas was dispensed as the pump was subsequently manually disabled by Jose. The pump indicators and fuel price was displayed & illuminated. I went back to the building to inquire about the disabled gas pump. Jose stated to leave the fuel station. The Sheriffs Deputies were called to respond to this incident of theft.1 I did not get the fuel service, and I did not get back my money until arrival of the Sheriffs Deputies at approximately 9:00 pm. Other customer pumps were operational, and Jose did not offer alternate methods of payment such as point-of-purchase cards. This is the second interaction with Jose as the first was his employment at Jiffy Lube at 2905 E Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand Oaks, CA 91362. On 28 April, 2023 he refused service bypassing me to another customer and I had to get service from another technician. The customer stated "I believe this gentleman was ahead of me", but that did not deter Jose from refusing service.2 1 Penal Code § 484(a) PC sets forth the California crime of "petty theft", which is defined as wrongfully taking or stealing someone else's property when the value of the property is $950.00 or less. They freshened up the convenience store with an exterior paint job, but the overall property is not the most scenic in town. Very utilitarian, with the added "feature" of several bags of trash on the ground in front of the shop. The pumps have various bells and whistles, but don't collect cash like the pay stations at ARCO. Have to pay inside, but you can receive the receipt right from the pump. Be careful if you exit onto Erbes, as cars can come whipping around the corner off T.O. and there's not a lot of distance to spare. Prices are lower than the national brands, but not the lowest in the area.

It spilled all over my new car and the floor. I told the night attendant, Sy (Nick) and he immediately apologized, offering me some napkins. I am always grateful for an apology, but in this case napkins, would only scratch my car. He then offered a bucket of water. I asked for a water hose. I drove around to the other side of the building, where there was a taped together, poor excuse for a hose. It sprayed water everywhere from at least three holes, before it even reached the official opening. God forbid there was a fire. I asked Sy (Nick) to close down and block off PUMP # 1, so this horrible disaster doesn't happen to anyone else. He assured me he would. Instead he went inside the store to refill their drinks. The next day I went to speak with the manager, Sal. He works from about 6 AM - 3 PM. PUMP # 1 was wide open and never closed off. Sal yelled at me and was extremely rude. He assured me that nothing was wrong with PUMP # 1. He even had the audacity to pour water on the floor by the pump to try to convince me that less than a gallon had spilled. He offered me $5 for my trouble. Sal is a scam artist. 2861 N Moorpark Rd, gas station is set up with faulty pumps to rob you of your hard-earned money. They do not automatically disengage. They spill fuel on your car. Sal doesn't care about his customers and thinks he is above the law. Beware of this gas station and especially the owner Sal. He is too cheap to care and throws up racist arm gestures when he is done yelling at you. I know my truth, Sal. My tank was not completely empty. More than a gallon spilled all over my car and your floor. I had to wash my car of the fuel at 9 PM to avoid damaging the paint, if left overnight. With your overpriced, Premium Fuel at $6.30 a gallon, your pathetic offer of $5 for my trouble, just goes to show you have no consideration for your customers. You are a rip-off. It still had the sticker on it and had a new number. We were getting gas and I ran inside to grab us water bottles; swiped my card at the counter. By the next day, almost $2000 had been spent on that card. The only charges made on the card were for the gas station... and then all the fraud charges. I paid $8 for the middle car wash by swiping my Venmo debit card at the carwash kiosk (by the way the dryer shuts off with 20 seconds of time still left) On my way home I checked my Venmo account and was charged $50.00 see photo. Drove back and the attendant had no explanation and of course there is no manager there. The attendant was trying to blame it on the gas pump um no I have an electric car I do not use gas!
