BEWARE- BAD GAS. Came in on Saturday 3/14/26 for gas- I've never visited this station before- but my car was pretty empty and I only put $40 to get home. I used pump 5. As soon as I left the gas station my car started shuddering, shaking each time I tapped the gas pedal. Unfortunately I got right on the 280 as the exit is right next to the gas station. The check engine light began flashing and I had to pull over and call a tow truck. My car had zero issues prior to this trip. After a mechanic checked out my car, My car had to be drained of gas which was a timely process. New gas was put in my car and it runs perfectly fine. The culprit was bad gas. I contacted the gas station immediately and was told the manager would contact me- he didnt. I am out the $40 for the bad gas and the cost of a mechanic fixing the issue. It could have been much worse if I kept driving and hadn't pulled over immediately. read more

No 24/7 restroom the graveyard shift is too scared like pusc cats . Used to work at a gas station too, we never closed the doors and served window only even when one worker went to lunch. Like many gas stations across town they are closed and pretend they are 24/7 . Would buy something if they were open but they aren't. This Chevron remodeled a few months ago and is now fully refreshed! :) They offer a discount on gas if you buy one of their car washes! I'm always a fan of Corporately-owned Chevrons as they are always clean, and the facilities are always in good condition! The pumps were working and paper towels were available. Squeegees were available and had plenty of soapy water. There were also plenty of pumps to ensure that any wait, if any, will be minimal! :) read more

I used their ultimate car wash and I regret choosing Chevron over Shell. My car is still dirty and the rubbers did not rub my car from the front and I have a SUV. I'm not sure what the foam is but it barely washed my car. Disappointed. read more

While it was closed for months, I love how they remodeled the whole gas station including a food mart & also a car wash. Very convenient. It is a lot brighter compared to when there was barely any light when gasing up. I feel that much safer when gasing up @ night. Wishful thinking about the recent remodel keeping the panhandlers away. I had to stop here because I was very low on gas and didn't want to chance it with trying to make it to my favorite Chevron on Coleman across from the airport. The beggars and loiterers are back, strategically positioned just like they used to be, so everyone who goes inside must pass by them twice. I don't know who manages this place, but I suspect they have a third world background where having beggars around is the rule rather than the exception, and they do absolutely nothing to discourage them. Yesterday I was hit up by a guy who, when I declined to engage him, tried to lay a guilt trip on me by starting in about his years in the military. Fortunately, I was capping off my gas tank and ready to leave, and told him to take it somewhere else, which he did -- like to the next island over. I have filed a complaint with Chevron about the situation at this station. As long as vagrants are welcome here, they're going to frequent it and continue to harass the customers. I'll be avoiding this location as long as the current circumstances are allowed to continue. Besides, gas is cheaper at the Chevron on Coleman. ZERO stars. read more

They have swell deals here on gasoline, but the homeless situation scares the crap out of me! I still can't figure out what time of day is best to avoid them. I've been here many times, and it's totally random! On a positive note, the gas that I pump here lasts, so I can tell it's the real deal. They have a ton a snacks and drinks inside. I found this natural cucumber soda drink once that was dabombdotcom. Like most gas stations, you save money on fueling up if you purchase a car wash. They have a card that you can have the employees sign off on, and you get the 7th wash free I believe. read more

The cashier is straight up racist. My card has a messed up chip but tap pay always works but of course their readers don't. so i have to go up to the window and have the cashier instantly tell me something along about my appearance, i ignore it and i tell her if she can tap pay my card on the inside scanner and run it as credit, inserts the chip and wonders why it says "can't read chip" throws my card into her slot and says you're gonna kill me you're gonna kill me go away i'm calling the police..and runs to the back. The place looked brand new and very clean. Gas prices were very cheap! Just kidding, not really. (4 something as usual). Good to know theres a chevron off the meridian exit on 280 south! This is for the carwash. Do they even have soap in the wash? Seems like it spits out some foam and then a bunch of stiff rubber brushes slam into your car and you get a rinse with San José's fine unfiltered water. What the hell did I just pay for? The signage here is completely misleading. The big sign in front says, in big letters, that gasoline paid by cash is less than credit. What you don't see driving on the road is that the lower price is triggered only if you paid by cash and purchase a car wash. This latter is spelled out in small letters, viewable once you on the lot, really looking at it. When I informed the cashier that I had thought the price for gasoline was so and so because I paid with cash, she simply said in one breathe, "with car wash" without more. Gas stations are everywhere. You would expect basic services to work and some customer assistance when something doesn't work. I just bought gas. Asked to use the 'free' air. Lady gives me a code to enter. I enter the code. It doesn't work. I go back in informing her that pressing the '2' button doesn't register a beep. She tells me to keep trying. Still doesn't work. Perhaps she should have turned it on manually for me if she could or provided me with quarters to turn it on or come out to assist me?! No, nothing, nada. Piss poor customer service. I usually would not rate a gas station, because you're just there to pump gas. What's there to say? However, my experience here was a total 1-star due to the rude customer service. I needed some assistance at the pump, but their cashiers just stood there laughing and looking at their phones. Worst car wash. 1st, their receipt printer at pump 1 does not release the receipt paper far enough; causing the car wash code to remain in torn half still in the machine. Therefore you need to go see the cashier. 2nd, the screen you see when entering the car wash code is blacked out, due to so much sun damage, and so you don't know what options it's stating. Also the volume is so low that you cannot hear anything the voice prompts are saying. Finally, when I looked up through my moonroof I noticed that the foam bath doesn't even cover the entire top of the car; barely the edges of the top of the car. read more

I filled-up and had a pretty good experience with that. I got discount gas with the purchase of a carwash. Someone was going around and cleaning around the pumps and it showed. My receipt was jammed in the pump and he immediately helped me. It went downhill from there. I got a carwash which was mediocre. It is very slow and with three cars ahead of me it took a while. It didn't completely clean nor dry my car. I then went to put air in my tires and like usual at a gas station you have to go through some trouble to get them to turn it on. I took all of the caps off my tires before since often you get one minute shy of the time needed to fill all your tires. I went inside and got a code for the air pump. It wasn't obvious how to enter the code since the buttons are hidden on the side and are completely worn away (but still usable). I finally got the air on and go to fill my tires and the air nozzle is completely broken. It looks like it has been like that for a while but who knows. So I put all my air caps back on without filling my tires. I told the cashier and she said they would repair it. If it isn't repaired then please post a Yelp review. I would have given an extra star if the air pump was working. read more

2 for $3.00 NOS, a carwash and good gas- what more can I say about this place?

I live nearby and stopped a few times, months ago. I noticed that the prices on items don't quite seem to match the register. ?? Due to strange pricing plus assertive vagrants I decided to not return. Yesterday, after several months away, I stopped for a 1-liter Diet Coke. It was the middle of the day when it's not busy so I parked, went in and picked up my bottle of $2.39 soda. They rang me up as $3.25. I asked how he got to this amount, he shrugged. I said, since there are no customers, let's take a look. He slowly walked back and sure enough, Coke, Diet, 7-up, etc. all are marked with a clear label of $2.39. I said at other places it's less so the $2.89 must be an error. He walked over to the manager who was in the back. By now I'm feeling like a strange bird standing around but I was curious about how they would handle it after my previous pricing observations. I stood around 3 feet from the clerk and manager as the clerk explained. The manager moved as though he was going to register to help me but instead said to the clerk, "go change the labels". So I stood there as they walked off to change the $2.39 to $2.89 for the sodas. I watched them go, drove over the bridge to 7-11 where they offer the friendliest clerks in the city, and bought two 1-liter bottles for $3.33 + tax/crv. The regular price at 7-11 is $2.29 or $2.19 and they are always kind and the store is clean. Quite a rant for a soda. My point is if you go you need to see what they ring up and how that might vary from what you thought you would pay. And be prepared for the vagrants to feel fine about asking you to hand over whatever it is you bought. read more

I came here because gas was a bit cheaper but as I go back to get my change there are 2 cashiers, one counting money and both talking to eachother and completely ignoring me while i am standing there. Beware of using credit cards at this station! We were low on gas and decided to get some gas here before entering the I-280. Pumped just $ 10.29 and paid at the pump outside. Just happened to look at pending transactions on my credit card and found two separate charges for the same authorization number : one for the correct amount of $ 10.29 and a second one for $ 126.00. When I called the station to find out about it, I keep getting told that the card holds some money and it will be corrected when I get the statement and giving some BS story about holding additional money. Luckily, I got a receipt from the pump, so I have the details of the transaction. I have had a bogus charge to a debit card at a different gas station in SOCAL area a couple of years ago and when I noticed it, it was too late to dispute it. I will post an update after I take this up with the credit card company. I have picked the lowest rating this allows. Milton N. Update on 01/01/2014. On checking with the credit card account online, found that the bogus charge of $ 126.00 is not there any more. The moral of the story is to double check transactions from gas stations and similar places to make sure you are not getting ripped-off and promptly follow up if you see any discrepancy. read more
