The food is for the most part edible. I'd compare it to hometown buffet for the quality. I do enjoy the breakfasts there tho.

Love seeing this spot so lively! Both visits were for apps and sips, but I did notice they added more dishes and variety to the menu for lunch/dinner options. Friendly service, fun atmosphere, and also different rooms within the space pending what your feeling ~ the bar area for drinks/apps, the restaurant space if wanting to truly sit down and have that type of intimate environment too. The Pear Salad has always been my go-to, and happy it's still on the menu. Chopped lettuce, gorgonzola crumbles, candied walnuts, champagne vinaigrette, and pear slices. I also enjoyed the Cheese Please for sharing, which comes with toast, three different cheeses, dried cranberries, pears, candied walnuts, and olives. Can you sense the pear theme? We were heading to a play at the Pinole Community Playhouse (walkable & across the street), but check out Pear Street's fun happy hours, events, and weekly specials. Plenty of restaurant parking in the back too.

One of our party members ordered the Rum Punch. It was overly sweet. Another ordered a drink that was not great at all, sent it back.. only to be told that they do not take back drinks, but made an exception that time. However, if the drink is made wrong or disgusting.. there shouod be understanding around that. We ordered the bottomless Mimosas. It seemed like it was difficult to get a grenadine on the side because I had to constantly ask for it. We had to talk to the manager because our waitress was not consistent with the pouring of bottomless. We lost about 30 to 45 mins of time because of it. The manager understood and granted us more time. I also did not like that fact that our finished plate sat on the table way longer than what they should have. Maybe the waiter was overwhelmed or overworked.

Alright peeps let's see who is on the chopping block today!!!!!!!!…read more Alright Applebees come on down!!!!! Okay let's start off with the outside of this restaurant there is lots of parking like I mean lots of parking so no need to stress about that. The outside of this place is very clean and maintained so good job there you guys. So today we decided to enjoy a meal at Applebees since they have really good food or so I thought. We go into the restaurant and see that there is already two people waiting we decided to sit down and wait our turn. No greeting from any host or server nothing just crickets. This guy comes and takes the lady's to their table we still waited. After what seem to have then 10 min we finally got a table. Keep in mind the place was not packed at all. We finally get seated and waiting another 5 min to get a server to come to the table we had already decided what we wanted for food and drinks this was our order Daughter: grilled chicken breast with a Pepsi Son: chicken Alfredo with broccoli and a Pepsi Wife: cheeseburger wonton tacos no spicy sauce and a Pepsi Me: chicken quesadillas with extra chicken and a side of onion rings for the drink I ordered an alcoholic beverage. Server comes back the all the drinks except my beverage. I said okay maybe they are working on it so I gave them some time. The bartender had 9 people at the bar which other bartender had already served them their drinks. So this other girl took over and she was making the drinks after what I thought took 10 min now I was waiting over 30 min to get my drink by this time food came out my wife's wontons tacos were dry nothing like how the picture showed. My quesadilla had no extra chicken whatsoever it was mostly cheese being a person that can't have that much cheese I assumed that adding more chicken would balance out the cheese but I was wrong. I only had 2 slices of the quesadilla before saying I can't anymore my stomach was hurting at that point. The server had only come twice to check up on us finally I said I'm sorry but there is no extra chicken in this quesadilla and also my drink is still not here cancel my drink I don't want it anymore since I'm done eating and also the quesadilla had more cheese than chicken sorry but I can't eat that much cheese that's why I requested extra chicken. Again not the servers fault since I did not tell her. My wife was finally done eating her dry tacos and was still hungry I was still hungry but dared not to order anything else from this place. I waited to ask my kiddos how food was. My son said his food was good and my daughter said the chicken had to much pepper after trying her chicken sorry TMI but I spit that out so quickly and asked my wife for some of her drink. The chicken tasted like fish it smelled weird. My daughter stopped eating as-well since her stomach started to hurt. Server finally comes back and says I took that off your bill. I assumed it would be my meal only since again I only ate 2 slices of the quesadilla and my drink never arrived. No she only took the drink off I still paid full price for my extra chicken quesadilla. I did not want to make my family wait to talk to someone about this so I paid and did not even take leftovers. My wife decided to take chicken wonton tacos home. Since she did not wanted to eat there anymore I said okay total for my bill was $85 dollars. Now for the moment of truth is this place Dendinger approved???? WITH CAPITAL LETTERS I WILL SAY DEFINITELY NOT WORTH COMING HERE. Service was bad food was bad except my son's noodle dish and wife's chicken wonton tacos. I wish I could have gotten my receipt to post here but I just wanted to GTFO the heck out of there. If a manager could reach out to me that would be great. Just have to say do better and maybe have more happy staff at this place everyone looked miserable.

Ok-so I've been coming to this location since I was a little kid-so I got nostalgia on my side-this…read morewas the spot my parents would take us after an evening at the bowling alley,Lucky Lanes, which is now the Casino and I loved going here.I would also come here as a high schooler after the football games or late night parties-we would head to Nations on San Pablo Avenue for a late night burger and fries-it was the spot. Now as an aging adult I find myself still going to Nations on San Pablo Avenue when I find myself in the area, which is rare because I now live in Sacramento-well lucky for me,after a day in SF,I found myself in the area,so you know I had to stop at Nations on San Pablo Avenue Baby!!! Parking at this spot, never a problem, plenty of spots, they are a single tenant with all the parking their own-so no issues there. Walking in there,I don't even really need to look at the menu, though taking a quick glance at it before I ordered, they have added quite a few new breakfast items-that's the thing that is a a beauty of Nations-u can get breakfast or burgers at any time,so many options when you go there-that being said,I always get the burger-it's my favorite-I love it.I got the cheeseburger with extra mustard and pickles, grilled onions and jalapeños-no tomatoes($9.95) added fries($3.75) and a chocolate shake ($6.95). I added an oldie but goodie as well just for fun-a slice of banana crème pie($6.95)Just for the record,I wasn't the only one there,so other people were helping with the fries and pie. Here is the thing-this place is a messy old school grease pit-it's reliable-it will always be that-when u eat one of their burgers it will always end in a greasy mess-will have a plethora of mustard, mayo and grilled onions juice and whatever else comes from that burger all over your hands, but it's great-sounds kinda wild but it's really great and it's definitely happening and I love it. The fries are just alright-they are old school fries with reliable taste but nothing out of this world.Chocolate shakes on the other hand-they advertise them as THICK milk shakes and that isn't an understatement-you got to let these things melt for a bit or else your getting lockjaw-but they are wonderful and never miss an opportunity to order one-must have item every visit. As I've stated in previous reviews on other locations-you could never go wrong with pie from Nations and that still holds true-they are always so good and a perfect way to end a way too heavy greasy heavenly meal. In closing-if u ever find yourself near a Nations and u feel like having a throwback of a burger, one you would've enjoyed in the 80s,90s or today-go ahead and stop on by this spot and enjoy yourself like you would've 20 or 30 years ago.
