The food is for the most part edible. I'd compare it to hometown buffet for the quality. I do enjoy the breakfasts there tho.

Nothing fancy, just basic, hearty diner food. It's Denny's, Black Bear Diner, iHop, or Bob Evans without logos and franchise baggage. I had the country breakfast of scrambled eggs, hash browns, ham steak, and wheat toast. It was all exactly what I expected and wanted. The wait staff are friendly and attentive, and the owner is a sweet lady running the register and folding napkins around silverware. Outside, Sukie's is hardly noticeable, tucked away at the edge of a strip mall parking lot. Inside, it's like every diner I've ever been in. If I had children, this would be my weekend family brunch spot.

The waitress was all right, but kond of creepy. She was a dark haired kind of hibillly type and probably kind, but suspicious of some. What upset me the most was that they added the tip in automatically before I could approve anything. And a generous tip at best. i was planning on tipping ten dollars, but they added five without asking. That I think is illegal, but she didn't care. A lot of whites will do this stuff because they can get away with it, especially white women. i didn't say anything but did add another three dollars and wished her a good day. I don't think i will go back and i want to know if anyone has had trouble about them packing the bill before presenting it to you and if it was this woman.

Love seeing this spot so lively! Both visits were for apps and sips, but I did notice they added more dishes and variety to the menu for lunch/dinner options. Friendly service, fun atmosphere, and also different rooms within the space pending what your feeling ~ the bar area for drinks/apps, the restaurant space if wanting to truly sit down and have that type of intimate environment too. The Pear Salad has always been my go-to, and happy it's still on the menu. Chopped lettuce, gorgonzola crumbles, candied walnuts, champagne vinaigrette, and pear slices. I also enjoyed the Cheese Please for sharing, which comes with toast, three different cheeses, dried cranberries, pears, candied walnuts, and olives. Can you sense the pear theme? We were heading to a play at the Pinole Community Playhouse (walkable & across the street), but check out Pear Street's fun happy hours, events, and weekly specials. Plenty of restaurant parking in the back too.

One of our party members ordered the Rum Punch. It was overly sweet. Another ordered a drink that was not great at all, sent it back.. only to be told that they do not take back drinks, but made an exception that time. However, if the drink is made wrong or disgusting.. there shouod be understanding around that. We ordered the bottomless Mimosas. It seemed like it was difficult to get a grenadine on the side because I had to constantly ask for it. We had to talk to the manager because our waitress was not consistent with the pouring of bottomless. We lost about 30 to 45 mins of time because of it. The manager understood and granted us more time. I also did not like that fact that our finished plate sat on the table way longer than what they should have. Maybe the waiter was overwhelmed or overworked.

I ordered the New York steak, medium rare, with potatoes and eggs, and it was outstanding. The abundance of potatoes complemented the perfectly cooked steak. I will certainly return and make it a point to dine here regularly. In addition to the exceptional quality of food was also matched by the outstanding customer service provided by the staff, waitress, and owner. A situation arose when the customer in the booth in front of me shed hairs into my food; however, our waitress promptly addressed the issue, and the owners graciously offered to replace my meal. The original dish, a ribeye, was not inexpensive, but the replacement was prepared with the same care and presented with equal deliciousness.

( Definitely not a place for vegans but vegetarians would be ok if they ate dairy & eggs ) I couldn't believe they discontinued the veggie burger & had no frozen California blend veggies ! I won't be going back !!!!! Plus the fries were not that great either !! They were shoestrings but some were overcooked : really hard & dry ( uneatable ) ! There was not really notable decor , but it just seemed old & outdated, not in a charming way !!

The menu offers a good mix of breakfast and lunch options, including vegan and senior sections. I ordered the bacon, jack, and mushroom omelette with Chrissy's home fries. The home fries come smothered in cheese and are served with ranch or sour cream -- so good, and honestly a great alternative to toast. I asked for them extra crispy and they did not disappoint. I also ordered one sweet cream pancake. There is an upcharge, but it was absolutely worth it -- crispy edges, fluffy inside, and delicious. I'd order it again without hesitation. The eggs were fluffy, and I really appreciated that the omelette wasn't overcooked or browned, which some places tend to do. Coffee was good with free refills, and there was always someone checking in to refill my cup. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. Ok-so I've been coming to this location since I was a little kid-so I got nostalgia on my side-this…read morewas the spot my parents would take us after an evening at the bowling alley,Lucky Lanes, which is now the Casino and I loved going here.I would also come here as a high schooler after the football games or late night parties-we would head to Nations on San Pablo Avenue for a late night burger and fries-it was the spot. Now as an aging adult I find myself still going to Nations on San Pablo Avenue when I find myself in the area, which is rare because I now live in Sacramento-well lucky for me,after a day in SF,I found myself in the area,so you know I had to stop at Nations on San Pablo Avenue Baby!!! Parking at this spot, never a problem, plenty of spots, they are a single tenant with all the parking their own-so no issues there. Walking in there,I don't even really need to look at the menu, though taking a quick glance at it before I ordered, they have added quite a few new breakfast items-that's the thing that is a a beauty of Nations-u can get breakfast or burgers at any time,so many options when you go there-that being said,I always get the burger-it's my favorite-I love it.I got the cheeseburger with extra mustard and pickles, grilled onions and jalapeños-no tomatoes($9.95) added fries($3.75) and a chocolate shake ($6.95). I added an oldie but goodie as well just for fun-a slice of banana crème pie($6.95)Just for the record,I wasn't the only one there,so other people were helping with the fries and pie. Here is the thing-this place is a messy old school grease pit-it's reliable-it will always be that-when u eat one of their burgers it will always end in a greasy mess-will have a plethora of mustard, mayo and grilled onions juice and whatever else comes from that burger all over your hands, but it's great-sounds kinda wild but it's really great and it's definitely happening and I love it. The fries are just alright-they are old school fries with reliable taste but nothing out of this world.Chocolate shakes on the other hand-they advertise them as THICK milk shakes and that isn't an understatement-you got to let these things melt for a bit or else your getting lockjaw-but they are wonderful and never miss an opportunity to order one-must have item every visit. As I've stated in previous reviews on other locations-you could never go wrong with pie from Nations and that still holds true-they are always so good and a perfect way to end a way too heavy greasy heavenly meal. In closing-if u ever find yourself near a Nations and u feel like having a throwback of a burger, one you would've enjoyed in the 80s,90s or today-go ahead and stop on by this spot and enjoy yourself like you would've 20 or 30 years ago.

So this review is honestly disappointing for me to write. This last visit was the worst experience I've ever had here. Even the ambiance felt off usually it's a fun, nostalgic spot, but this time it just felt unwelcoming and not up to par. I ordered what I thought was going to be a simple kids scoop, but somehow ended up being charged $7 for a vanilla shake--and still got a small scoop in a big cup. It just didn't make sense. On top of that, the sundaes we ordered were way smaller than usual and definitely not what we're used to getting here. For a place I've loved for so long, this was really disappointing.
