But on a recent visit as we were leaving, my husband asked a question about the store to the lady checking our receipt. She was a sweet Filipino lady. She did not know the answer but convincingly told us she would have the answer next time we came. She had no idea when that would be. About 5 days later we stopped in for a couple of things and there she was again at the door. My husband smiled and said, hey! And asked the question again. She got really excited she saw him and said she'd been waiting for us. She pulled a sticky note out of her pocket and had the answer for him. She didn't have to do that. She had no idea when we'd be back. She put that note in her pocket every day hoping she would see us. I just wanted to hug her. Her name is Amy and she definitely went above and beyond what she needed too. I now have a favorite employee!!

Several times now, I've noticed that the pharmacy technicians here struggle with customer service…read more Their tone can come off as abrupt or unfriendly, often rushing through face-to-face interactions and phone calls. They tend to avoid eye contact, quickly confirm medications, and rarely offer guidance unless asked directly. As a nurse, I completely understand that healthcare workers experience fatigue and burnout, and I certainly don't expect perfection. However, when approaching the counter or calling on the phone, customers just want to be acknowledged and treated with respect--not rushed or made to feel like a burden. I appreciate the vital role the pharmacy team plays, but I hope the Silverdale Costco pharmacy techs can find ways to serve customers with a bit more warmth and compassion moving forward. A little kindness goes a long way.

A big shout out to QFC, the home office Kroger, and a QFC manager named Carl. Recently I stopped…read morein for those "Top Pot" donuts they sell and to get some cash. I went thru the wrong self checkout but the checker who was monitoring things stepped in to help me (first customer service help). Apparently my card went through and then went again when the checker helped me. I caught it when going through my checkbook. I called QFC and Carl the manager who was busy out in the store took time to return to his office and explain how to contact the corporate office to fix the problem. After the corporate call it was back to Carl who wrapped things up and in two days the money was returned to my bank account. So not only does QFC have great donuts they have employees at checker position and manager willing to help customers. And one more thing, the store is always super clean and products displayed so well. Great store and great people.

This location also has a lovely variety of homeless drug addicts wandering and shuffling through the parking lot, like extras from the Walking Dead. They also beg from you as you try to make your way to the store entrance and on the way back out. The corporation doesn't want to pay fees to the credit card companies is all it is, so they can make even more money. Their CEO makes almost $5000,000 a year. They do it without hesitation.And every single person that comes out to help is so personable and so caring. I have to say though that Nate is absolutely the most amazing customer care person. These meticulous and diligent I was making sure that i'm well taken care of. He's funny and just fun to talk to while the gas is being pumped. Super place for me to get gas even though gas is ridiculously expensive here and everywhere. It's the customer service by these amazing people that absolutely does it for me!
