I've lived in multiple states and this location is hands-down the most awful Walgreens I've ever had the displeasure of visiting. Staff is more often than not either incompetent or rude. Sometimes both as is the case for their "manager" Rebecca. I've made a few pick-up orders here that have all gotten marked as picked up when they were not picked up. It feels scammy at worst and at best is a complete waste of time. Once it's marked picked up, there's no longer a link to use to mark you're at the store waiting. This then causes you to have to sit on the phone in the awful queue system until you can reach a person. It then takes them time to find it and get it out to you. It has never taken less than 15 minutes of me waiting in the parking lot for what should be a simple and quick pick-up. It's incredibly frustrating when you're sick/have sick kids waiting for items. The Pharmacy is quite possibly even worse. Numerous times my Rx was marked as ready to pick up online and yet when I get there they tell me it's not ready and treat me like I'm the jerk for asking why my app is showing it is. That's if they can even fulfill the monthly re-occurring Rx's! It's gotten so bad I've moved all my reoccurring Rx refills to another location 30 minutes away - because that's more convenient and easier than the one near my home. I had a terrible experience with the Walgreens on Bethel Rd in Port Orchard. Due to issues with Walgreens' online app, I was left without my diabetes and depression medications for several days. Missing even two days of these medications makes me physically ill, with symptoms like headaches, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. The problems began with the high cost of drugs and the lack of clear contact methods for delivery issues. Walgreens uses a delivery service, but their app and customer support made it nearly impossible to get help. The only support available was an unhelpful AI chatbot, which kept redirecting me to the merchant's app--requiring account details I didn't have. After two hours of frustration, I called Walgreens and waited on hold for 59 minutes before reaching someone. The person I spoke with insisted Walgreens had no responsibility for the delivery and told me to resolve it myself. Feeling very sick and desperate, I suggested alternatives, like preparing a new package for pickup, but was told insurance wouldn't allow a second disbursal the same day, and I'd have to pay out of pocket if filled the next day--over a thousand dollars. I considered calling an ambulance but worried about the cost, since my medications wouldn't be covered. I tried calling Walgreens again, but after being transferred and put on hold for nearly an hour, I gave up. The store closed while I was still on hold, with no notification. Frustrated, I called the police non-emergency line. Officer Main helped me determine that the delivery driver may have delivered my package to the wrong apartment number. Officer Main went above and beyond, tracking down the package and delivering it to my door. Throughout this ordeal, Walgreens repeatedly refused to help, even though they had the means to resolve the issue with the delivery service. Their customer service was unhelpful and dismissive. In contrast, Officer Main's assistance was a lifesaver. I'm sharing this to warn others: avoid Walgreens pharmacy if you can. I miss RiteAid, which was always reliable and easy to use. Fred Meyer was slow, but at least they tried. CVS was excellent, but is too far for me now. Walgreens' customer service is the worst I've experienced, and I hope they improve. Until then, I recommend using Fred Meyer or CVS instead. read more

Terrible customer service, went to drive thru waited 20 minutes while person at window was on phone and off phone, talking to coworkers while I watched. Finally drove around and went in and waited to be seen another 10 mins and when my turn as I watched persons running drive thru do the same thing (nothing) I bought it up and one of pharmacist came out and told me that they can be busy and fine. Guess have drive thru open bot to wait on customers. Next time drive was closed. I have changed my pharmacy now so will be going to Fred Meyer. read more

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at the Port Orchard Walgreens this afternoon (unfortunately, not my first). After calling to confirm that 2 prescriptions would be ready for pick-up after 2:00pm, I made the drive to the pharmacy. When I arrived, I was informed that somehow in the few hours since I spoke to pharmacy staff, they had decided that they would not refill one of my prescriptions. I talked to the pharmacy tech, Shawna, and I explained the extenuating circumstances, but Shawna decided that she somehow knew better than my primary care doctor of 12 years regarding my medication regimen and stubbornly dug-in on the issue. I did not realize that Walgreens pharmacy techs now trump primary care doctors when it comes to decisions about the most appropriate treatment planning for patients, but my family certainly does not prescribe to that rationale, and we will be finding a new pharmacy following this final straw with Walgreens. Pro-Tip: The pharmacy options in Port Orchard are pretty dismal. I suggest looking for better options in Silverdale or Gig Harbor. I am convinced its worth the drive. read more

Do not trust the website when it says something is in stock. Went in and what I was looking for was not on the shelf. Just the empty spot. Walked up front, waited to ask someone. Manager standing right at the front doing something with product on a shelf ignored me. Then he finally called a young woman over from the photo counter without even speaking to me or asking me what I needed. I explained to her it shows in stock on their website. She was very polite and said they can check in back and asked me to show her the product I was looking for. At this point the manager stepped in and told me "we can not look in back for you, come back in a day or two" this is why everyone is skipping local businesses and going to Amazon. read more

These guys are struggling with staff shortages, are bustling around like crazy trying to keep on top of it, but that being said, I wanted to make a comment in hopes that it'll be seen. I take a medication that needs to be taken daily, and month after month...after its been called in, I need to come pick up a partial while they wait for the rest to be delivered (usually by the next day). Since they don't answer the phone anymore, I'll wait as long as possible (generally 4-5 days) before coming back in to find that, yet again, the purpose of that trip has just been to remind them that the rest of the script still needs filling. Because they won't have...and I'll have to come back yet again for when they have. Because they don't pre-order medication, I often have to visit the pharmacy three different times for the same script. Please...please start pre-ordering medication! Other than that, these guys are work horses and I wish them the best in getting the additional help they need. You can see the stress radiating off these guys and they still manage to always be friendly and as helpful as they're able to. Thanks guys! read more

No customer service & the pharmacy never answers their phone. I phoned them an hour before I left home. No answer. I'm still on hold when I show up at the pharmacy. I put my phone on speaker & showed it to the pharmacist so he could see how long I'd been on hold & their phone and was STILL ringing. I will never shop there again. read more

I recently downloaded the Walgreens app and found it easy to navigate, plus I got to choose delivery or pick up in store. I stopped by today to pick up my order and received a friendly greeting by the staff. I went straight to the photo counter to pick up my order (you have the option to pick up curbside, but I needed to look for additional items) and was helped right away. The service was great! I even encountered another member of the staff in the vitamin isle who offered his help, so I could find what I was searching for. All staff were wearing masks and I was in an out quickly. It was nice to see they are following CDC guidelines and still have awesome attitudes after dealing with customers all day. It put a positive spin on my hectic day. I'm now thinking of transferring my prescriptions here--especially if I get this kind of service. I'll definitely be back! read more

My regular pharmacy didn't have this medication I needed so I had to go to this Walgreens. I won't go back to this Walgreen's because one of the pharmacists treated me very rudely. I had basic health at the time and the medicine I had to get was very expensive. She actually told me my insurance probably wouldn't cover it without even bothering to run it through the computers. I had to insist to her to try it anyway since my regular pharmacy had no problems filling the order. She rolled her eys and grudgingly ran the prescription order. It went through ok. But then she had to order the comment that she was surprised because usually "that medication" doesn't get approval. I had my father with me and even he thought she was a b****. This store doesn't seem to want to serve folks on basic health it seems to me. read more

At least an hour wait EVERY TIME for turning in prescriptions when you have to wait for them. We turned in an RX for one pill at 11:30am. One pill. They said it would be ready after 1pm. It is now 3pm and it is still not ready. Poor customer service (I think the bad customer service is a Kitsap county issue). They see you and don't acknowledge your presence. Even going in with NO line, no visible customers, you will be ignored. Or bad service. Or talked down to. There is no reason it should be this way. Except for the fact that they care nothing about us or their own business. I have never had any issue with Safeway. read more

I have gotten prescriptions at Walgreen's for years. A lot of them through mail order though. No problems, just a few calls from them with questions. Part of the reason I go there is because my daughter is a pharmacy tech at a different Walgreen's. I myself have worked in a pharmacy, and a doctor's office, so am not unfamiliar with both sides of what happens at both. The past few times I have gotten prescriptions at the store, I have regretted it, but anything that is not long term, I do not use mail order. First I have to say that there are several nice people in this store, and the pharmacists are very pleasant. However, after several visits with another tech, I will be using a different local pharmacy. Rude, condescending, talks to you like you are stupid, and extremely unhelpful. My husband had the same experience. While in the drive up line she talked so loud I could hear her with the person in front of me, then on the phone when I got to the window, and they received the same treatment. None of the parties involved were rude, nor deserving of the uncalled for treatment received. No doubt they will not miss my measly business, but there are numerous other choices in town, and I am sure they will welcome new business. Sad, to leave when others are nice, but have had enough. read more

This Walgreens is absolutely awful and they have dreadful customer service. I went to pick up a photo and there was absolutely no one around. They were stocking the shelves in the middle of the day. Then the man at the register was rude. I I was in there for 20 minutes for just one photo! I will never come there again. read more

I have been going to this pharmacy for years and they always take forever to fill prescriptions. Even when they are phoned in advance. Often they will not get the message from the doctors clinic or even when they do they still make me wait 15 to 20 minutes. It is very very frustrating. It seems like they must be understaffed or something because the line is always so long and it takes forever! read more

I have used Walgreens in multiple states with no issues for years. This location was closest to my home. First time I tried to fill a RX here they had problems I didn't understand and I had to go to one in Bremerton, miles away.The next time I was dropping my RX's off and overheard a pharmacy worker ask the person at the drive up for address verification. The person in the car didn't know it and the worker laughed and told them they should learn it and gave the RX anyway! Being someone who has had RX's stolen from them in and ER, by nurses and know that ANYONE can turn in and pick up drugs with only being asked for date of birth and the address. I was appalled that she gave the RX without correct verification. The next visit, to pick up an RX, I was told I had no insurance(I'm on medicare, that should have at least covered it) and it was over $1000 for 2 RX's, even though I had my SS letter saying to bring it to the pharmacy to let them know I was on the program fro affordable medication. They were rude, stopped to help a car customer, making me wait longer, after I had already waited for a guy in front of me and a car customer after that. I was checked out finally after asking what priority the person in the car had over me standing there in the middle of being helped. AND I am obviously disabled and was distressed. I sat there and cried. Got my RX scripts from the and went to Walmart across the street, which had NO problems filling my RX's that I need to live. The pharmacy staff at the Port Orchard Walgreens has little care for their customers and has an attitude of superiority in my opinion. read more

Poor customer service. They ask each patron to verbalize the diagnosis for which they are picking up medication, but there is no way to do this privately. Although I tried not to overhear, I was able to hear that the person in front of me was picking up a medication for her arthritis. When my turn came up I declined telling the tech my diagnosis and she stated she had to know in order to verify the prescription. I do not see why this would be true and if it is, they should provide a private area to disclose this information. I felt she was generally rude about the matter and I left feeling terrible. Additionally she mispelled my name making further refills and transfer of prescription difficult. read more

I filled a prescription last year for $10 dollars. I am inconsistent with the use of this as it is for acne and I am lazy. Had the prescription refilled and they tried to charge me $30. I called my insurance and was told the first time it was submitted as a 30 day supply and the second time it was submitted as a 90 day supply. Called Walgreens to have it set back to a 30 day supply and was told that because I don't fill the prescription every month they are charging me for a 90 day supply for the exact same amount of medicine. My husband has already left Walgreens due to their bad billing practices, he was charged for 3 30 day refills instead of 1 90 day because they didn't have a bottle large enough to hold the 90 day supply and had to put it in three bottles, and I am now going to leave them as well. I will also report them to my insurance for fraud. It makes absolutely no sense that the exact same amount of medicine can be charged as a 30 or 90 day supply depending on how often I fill it, which to be honest is once or twice a year, I am surprised they didn't try to charge me for a 12 month supply! read more
