This is a wonderful place with wonderful people and really good prices for a convenience store. If…read moreyou are in Olalla and you need snacks, milk, cereal, gas, drinks, smokes, scratch tickets, dog treats, beer, soda, motor oil or something else, please stop here. You will get what you need for less than you'd have thought. The people who work there are cheerful and pleasant and the store itself has a great selection of items at decent prices. You can also gas up your ride here which beats the hell out of running out of gas in Olalla. There is a fat man with huge, hairy moobs who shops here and sometimes in warm weather he doesn't button his shirts up all the way or at all. He also drives a convertible, that makes it easier for you to see his moobs in all their hairy glory. He has VERY good hearing so if you are surprised or perhaps startled by the sudden sight of his moobs, say nothing, especially if your windows are down. He will likely hear you. He won't like this, he expects you to look at his moobs with your eyes, not with your mouth, and he doesn't need or want to hear your opinion on his moobs or on any moobs or even on moobs in general. Hairy moob man doesn't need you. There is also a day-walking ginger man who shops there, he drives a red toyota truck unless he is with some old woman who looks like she is what happens when god makes people out of leather and skank. That is not his mother, that is his girlfriend. She is old, yes, it's true. You will know them both by their snaggly teeth and narcissism. They are crazy and they are tweekers and if you see them you should avoid them because neither one (but especially him, the ginger man) can hold in their poops due to too much extreme insertion style anal sex. They are sad, sad, people. Leave them to their misery and ickiness. Olalla Food Center really is a great place to stop off for snacks, drinks, smokes, etc when your day finds you on the road in Olalla. Please don't be put off by hairy moob man or ginger and his leatherface older woman. Olalla Food Center can't help who moves in next door or down the street from them anymore than you can.

This is the worst place I've ever stopped at in all my years of travelling by car across country…read more Please don't stop here. Go either direction on I-90 to the next exit for everything better (not the least of which is $.34/gal cheaper gas. Sucks: 1. Gas prices - gouging in the most obvious way. 2. Worst register attendant ever. Texting, not looking up, doesn't say anything. Probably on account of the shame. 3. Worst restrooms. I've tried to go in a Waffle House, a dive bar, and in a patch of nettles. This one is the worst. It's filthy. I mean FILTHY. Dark, missing lightbulbs, no soap, no towels, single ply TP, garbage everywhere, water leaking all over the floor, and the hand dryer is so hot I just resorted to wiping my hands on my pants. I can't describe how hot it was - it WILL burn someone and they will sue. It's only a matter of time. 4. Then the selection of stuff in the store is awful. Don't eat anything made there. They have beer and other crap that stoned snowboarders want, but no actual supplies. I wanted a bottle of ibuprofen...but all they had was Aleve...25 caps for $9! Everything was ripoff expensive. One Good Thing: 1. They don't seem to care if there are 20 people waiting in line to use the bathroom for free...car loads of people come through and pile out and stand there and never buy anything (maybe gas, but who knows)...so there's that public service to credit for. Stay away from anything in this exit. Go to the next stop. Trust me (and others.)

It is small, so somewhat limited, but they have most of what you might need except things like gyoza wrappers or fresh vanilla beans. They certainly serve the nearby community well enough.

If not I surely apologize. I almost never use the Bridgeway market, but the other two I use "as needed" and no more. They are kind of a convenience store for me. From home, it's about 3 miles vs. 8 or 12, depending on where you want to go in Gig Harbor. I promised myself I would not go on a rant here, and I won't. I have been using these markets for about 10 years, the employees are great, friendly, helpful, just about like any business in the Gig Harbor Area. What I cannot understand is why the hell do they have to charge so much! I have not ever calculated, but I can get the point across without being exact! I do swear, their prices are about 25-40% higher than other markets in town. I have asked a few times over the years why so expensive and the answer is, that is the price of convenience. So I come back with "this is not 7/eleven, this is a community supermarket where there are many elderly people on a fixed income who cannot afford your prices, hell, if I had to do all of my shopping there, I would go broke with my family of 4, and I'm not joking. I think if they would price match with other markets, they would probably triple their business and still come way ahead on profit. Prices are my only issue with them, I use them as I said, like a convenient store, on a nice note, Key Center usually has very nice looking produce, it's too expensive most of the time, but it is nice. Ill finish on that.
