I just saw these guys about a half hour ago…read more My car spun out with the wet weather this morning and the tire came completely off the rim. i was stuck on the side of the freeway. I called for a tow and then called my mechanic and told him that I was going to have my car towed over to his shop - he told me he wouldn't be able service my car for another few days. Luckily a good samaritan stopped and offered me help - he told me that his mechanic Decarlo's is around the corner. Good Samaritan called them and they said "come on over." Tow Truck came and took me to Decarlo's - immediately Chad came out to greet me and gave my car attention straight away. They were so nice and attentive. I was told that if they needed to keep the car then they would have someone drive me back to my office. But they were able to fix the tire straight away, Chad test drove it to make sure it was good and then sent me on my way - without payment... what an amazing guy! I will be going to these guys from now on with all my auto needs! Mark has gone above and beyond every time we've needed work done. He has super competitive pricing and will even talk you out of getting work done if he doesn't think it's completely necessary. There have been multiple times where Mark will run diagnostic tests on our vehicles and won't even charge for it. Some shops charge well over $100 for that alone. The price that was quoted was less than the dealership wanted, and was very fair. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to drop me off and pick me up from the local coffee shop, where I was able to work while the service was being done. When we got back to the shop, he showed me the brake test that was performed, as well as showed me some of the other cool vehicles in the shop. I brought the car in and he told me I didn't need new brake pads for a long time and actually called Les Schwab and spoke with them too. That's when I knew I would be a customer for life since I live in Martinez. It's hard to find honest people these days! I've brought my car back for several tuneups - oil change prices are also better than the local oil change locations. I also had my transmission replaced and eventually my brake pads replaced. They always finish the work on time and are really nice people. You do get a discount if you can pay in cash.
