My car was running on empty again LOL. Old habits are hard to break. I had to make a quick stop to get gas at the 138 Hwy in Phelan. Luckily, there is this Chevron conveniently located on the northbound 15 Fwy or 76 on the southbound 15 Fwy. I chose Chevron because they are closer from the freeway exit. I pumped half the tank just to get home safely. I was planning to pump the other half tank at Walmart Gas which I did the next day later. I paid at the pump as usual. I didn't go inside the food mart though. Btw, this gas station is right next to McDonald's which is convenient to grab a quick bite afterwards or prior to pumping gas. This may be my go-to Chevron gas station going forward should I get myself in a bind again. Thanks Chevron for your convenient locations! read more

This is a very convenient gas station if your heading up the Cajón Pass and need to make a quick pit stop. The next stop is not for a few miles until you get to Oak Hills. It's conveniently located off highway 138 in Phelan. Not only does this location offer gas, but of course it offers air for your tires, water for your radiator, bathrooms, drinks, snacks and food. Speaking of food, there is a Mc Donald's right next door if your craving a little more. If Mc Donald's is not your thing, sometimes you might find a vendor out by the sidewalk selling tacos, or bacon wrapped hot dogs, but make sure to have cash. No need to worry though, this location also has an ATM inside. read more

Okay. Once again, this time it's only 11pm, Chevron Extra Mile is closed. The sign in the window says back at 11:10 due to government enforced breaks. Okay I get that. If the place actually opens up in 10 minutes. The last several Chevrons I visited with those signs in the window didn't actually open up when the sign said they would. If your sign says open 24 hours then you need to be open 24 hours. Otherwise it's false advertising. Even fast food restaurants that closed for an hour for cleaning have that clearly posted to avoid the lawsuits. read more

I purchase a Antifreeze coolant due to my car overheating, but it turns out it was the sensor not working. I brought back the Antifreeze coolant with the receipt in less than 5 minutes, they would not do a refund claiming it was final sale. I ask the cashier to show me a sign with final sale notice. This is a great place for a pit stop. In addition to the Quizno's, they had $2.69 double scoops of Thrifty ice cream, coffee creamer pumps (so you could lace your sodas), and even an orange juicer so you could enjoy freshly-squeezed 100% orange juice. It's pouring down rain and this is the only gas station for miles, and my low fuel light is on so i stopped to get gas and there is a "sign" written on the door saying closed until 1:25. Which isn't unreasonable, I get it you need a break some times. But it's 1:50 and there's no reason for them to be closed when it's clearly operational hours. Gas is expensive here, but what can you expect when you're located on the way to Vegas? We came here to gas up and to use the restroom. The restroom is clean enough. It's clean compared to other gas places I've been to. It's located next to McDonald's, so if there's nothing here you want, you can go next door. read more

If I could give -0 stars I would . Just came to get my car washed , machine stopped working so I went inside to simply ask for my 6 dollars back . The man was very nice about it but the cashier I believe her name was "TELIZ" was VERY RUDE . She accused me of not even being in the car wash . Asked for a receipt I told her I did not have one . Told me I needed to pull up MY PERSONAL bank information saying that I spent 6 dollars . She said "you come tomorrow to talk to manager" I demanded that I was not leaving until I got my money back . She calls manager and starts speaking in another language not to mention there were 7 people in line and she decided to have a long conversation on the phone . Anyways, the manager told her she had to give me my money back. Long story short I was not letting these people take advantage of me and this women needs some respect training and customer service training ! I will be calling corporate by the way. read more

I stopped for gas at Extra Mile about 8AM Wednesday Oct. 10, 2019. After fueling, I went into the store looking for an ATM. I found and used the ATM, and at the end of the 'transaction' I was prompted "Take Your Cash" Only problem was, there WAS no cash to take! I was then prompted to "Take Your Card". I told an attendant, DORIS, that the machine had not dispensed my cash. She informed me that the ATM was 'out of cash'. She went on to rather snottily so inform me that 'they' have nothing to do with the ATMs. I managed to find a phone number to call the ATM company, and they were helpful. They ran a quick diagnosis of my transaction, and told me that the $40 was 'mis-fed' and was automatically returned to the money-bin inside the machine. I was told that the transaction had been reversed, automatically, and I could expect to see such a transaction on my bank view in a day or so. I am OK with that, so long as I'm not 'ripped off'. "DORIS" told me that I could get cash at the register, since the machine had fouled up. I went to the unattended register, and a few minutes later a cashier showed up. I told her that DORIS had sent me up and told me that I could get cash. The cashier 'so informed' me that I 'had to buy something, first.' My $55 gas purchase did not make me a customer. HUH??? So, I had to buy a big old chocolate bar in order to use the debit machine to get only $20 cash. I was 'so informed' that $20 was the maximum cash-back 'rule'. I have stopped at the junction of I-15 and Highway 138 a million times since 1967, and this was the very first time I thought I would give 'Extra Mile' a try. It's my last time. The ATM guy was OK, but the store staff was surly and rude. read more

The best place to stop in the pass and they have a good clean bathroom. I like to grab my snacks here and this is the best bet for gas because you can get back on the freeway safely without almost dying crossing 138. read more

I'll give this chevron my very coveted 5 star rating for 2 reasons. The first being that the customer service here is absolutely phenomenal. They answered all my questions and had a very happy attitude. My second reason- CLEAN BATHROOM ALERT!! an amazingly clean bathroom in any gas station will keep the customers coming back every time! read more
