Patty has a horrible attitude! I travel through Kettleman City frequently and have come across her at Starbucks and other locations and she's rude! She's even cursed at other employees in other local business, with one instance calling an employee at Starbucks a "bitch." She's a poor representation of any company values and I hope her unprofessionalism Is monitored. It sad to see her bully her employees and employees in nearby businesses. I hope the owner of this location looks into the matter and addresses her bullying/harassment before it turns into a legal matter against Chevron. read more

Access is easy to get in and out of the station. Bathrooms accommodate 10 plus people. Restrooms are very clean and is located in the spacious parking lot. McDonalds and In N Out are very conveniently placed. Great place to stretch your legs. read more

Sandra has the worst attitude and terrible customer service!! I greeted her politely and simply asked about some options for a phone charger, but she was rude and made faces. She made me feel like she was going to give me the charger for free. I don't need anything given to me for free; I have dollars to pay for it and I also expect good customer service. read more

Quick service, clean restrooms inside the store plus a larger restroom out in the parking lot near the property line (on the in n' out side), and wide selection of chips, seeds, candy, + a few healthy options (fruit, cheese/nut cups, cheese/meat sticks, pickles!!!) read more

Bathroom break along the freeway and no problems. It was reasonably clean though it is an outside building, separate from the convenience store. The station is right off the highway and easy to access. For CA-41 has a center divider so if u-turns are an issue for you, you'll want to exit to the east on Ward Drive and then take Bernard Drive to the intersection. Easy. The station shares the lot with a McDonald's and I used some of that free Mickey D's wifi for a bit. Yep, I'm working from the road today. You read the gas prices right! It was over $6/gallon for gas where as it was $4-5/gallon the exit before and after. This place is gouging! This is the Kettleman city exit gas station along with another popular gas stations and a few fast food places. I have to say other than outrages gas prices, the area and gas station was pretty clean. Highly suggest to fill up your tank before leaving your home. read more

Never have to wait for a pump and large, clean bathrooms during the day. This is about halfway point from San Jose to LA so lots of people stop here. They have many pumps and really good lighting so you won't have to wait and it won't feel scary. During winter it gets very cold with wind chill so if your temperature gauge says 35 take another 10-15 degrees off of that and that's how cold it is outside. The bathrooms are large and are kept very clean, if they are locked up for the night you can use the bathroom in the chevron that is much smaller. They are located on the right side of the lot next to in n out. Convenience store is larger than normal and has all the snacks and energy drinks you need for your drive. read more

Staff was courteous and efficient. Many of the fridges are locked but they were on it and helped us immediately. It's also clean, they were mopping the aisle floors and they didn't even look dirty :-). Best part was the very fresh Sun Chips. read more

I had to stop for restroom and was happy it was outside the store. Easy access, fast to get in and out. They were stocked with toilet paper and stalls I used was clean no complaints. The gas is pricey though which is crazy. There are plenty of shops such as McDonald's, few gas options, Starbucks and more. I highly recommend stopping here for any of your needs. Good rest break spot and McDonald has Wi-Fi for those that need to jump on. read more

NOT A RESTROOM STOP! Always locked as they don't want to maintain their rest stop restroom...even though they want your rest stop GAS MONEY. All other gas stations at this exit are better maintained with cheaper gas. read more

I don't understand why they have the bathroom stalls outside when they're never ever opened. And they allow a huge line of 20+ people to wait for 2 stalls inside the store. Incredibly inconvenient. read more

Gummy cluster prices are insane at the super mart, no prices displayed got jipped for sure. This is not a joke my wallet is crying

NORA just closed the door on me at chevron (I was going to use restroom) when I was about to walk in. She told me they were closed. I asked her why were there people in there then and she told me that they were already in there so she's letting them finish up. She then proceeded to close door on me and told me I can walk across street to use the Shell. So I walked across street, used Shell... Then when I walked back across street(I was parked by chevron and had emergency,I didn't have time to repark by shell) I seen her letting people in. I walked up to door and said so you're open?? And she asked if I wanted to use it now...I asked her why would she tell me they're closed and do that to me. She just told me to have a nice day and closed door on me. She really needs a hug or some love because. Hurt people hurt people. Hope you see this Nora and have better consideration next time. read more

I always stop here to gas when I'm driving from Northern California to Southern California. It's busy but there's a lot of bathrooms that are clean. There's also a McDonald's at this Chevron but check the hours. I don't think it's open 24 hours. read more

Asked for my ID and scanned it into their computer system because it's their "store policy". Every other Chevron store checks IDs with their eyes. If you're buying alcohol, cigarettes, lotto tickets, vape stuff, etc. you can expect the cashier to scan your ID into their computer. Or if that "policy" makes you uncomfortable too, drive across the street. Never going back. read more

Restrooms are CLEAN!! yay! Other than that Chevron works just like other gas stations. You stop at the pump, fill up with gas, maybe clean your windshield if you've done some killing on the road and need to remove the bodies (I'm talking about insects), and then you go on your way. read more

Gasoline prices were 20% higher than those at other nearby stops, and at least one pump would not process loyalty program discounts.

What every gas station and convenience store should be like; organized, clean, easily accessible and prepared for large crowds. I was in and out I no time. Didn't have to mean mug anyone for going the wrong way or trying to steal a spot to pump fuel. That alone is a success. Hehe Great job Kettleman City Chevron! read more

All of their bathrooms, inside and outside are closed. Men were working inside the women's restroom and women inside the men's restroom. And they yelled at you when you walked inside to see if they were open. This Chevron Food Mart is located off I-5 and is connected with a McDonald's. Just recently, they upgraded this place to a Chevron ExtraMile. It's a pretty popular pit stop here and always has tons of business!! The gas station is always super busy!! Stopped by here again and had a great experience. This time I had to use the Restroom, and although the Restrooms outside were not open, the ones inside at least were. To my surprise, the restroom was actually pretty clean. It was well kept, and didn't have any graffiti on the walls, no trash on the floor, plenty of tissue paper etc. This Chevron keeps their bathrooms, well kept, which is a plus for them. Prices for gas, here are pretty decent as well. read more

Ok weird review but this is for the bathrooms! Probably one of the cleanest bathrooms at a gas station I've ever experienced. Right off the 5. It doesn't smell like shit. Clean, a lot of stalls, toilet paper and seat covers available and has soap so you can wash your hands. The only thing that sucks is that they have hand dryers and no paper towels to hold the door lol. Ladies, if you need the bathroom, hold it and go to this gas station. Also, if you're hungry they have McDonalds and In&Out all walking distance from Chevron. Safe travels! read more

I've always stopped in Kettleman City on my long drives up and down the Central Valley. Somehow one way or another, I always end up at this Chevron. And always, it is filled with people... And flies... The flies that buzz around your head when you gingerly step into the gross toilet stalls to pee. This time, it was horrendous. There was a Russian lady who insisted on being the damn bouncer for the coveted dirty toilets... And she let everyone and their freaking pregnant mothers cut. Dude... Enn OH. NO! Seriously what did she think we were doing? Congregating in line to peer into the bathroom for shits and giggles!? The only reason why we would be hopping from foot to foot is because we're stopping in the middle of no where to pee!!! I seriously opened a can of whoop ass when she let the 5th person cut right in front of me. This stop has always had my dasani water in stock... but the lines are long and the bathrooms have always been kinda dirty. Mental note to self. Must find a cleaner rest stop. read more

I like this Chevron quite a bit (although since the new renovated Shell came about I like the Shell even more...) because for the longest time this was the only gas station in vicinity that had clean bathrooms and lots of them (i.e. you won't have to wait in a huge line that's always there ...) The gas prices are competitive (read: the same) and the Mini-Mart is sort of attached to a McDonalds which sometimes comes in handy for a quick snack on the way down to SoCal or back up again. It's also a convenient parking area for the In-n-Out next door when you don't feel like trekking all the way around that silly road where tons of semi's are blocking the path. read more

ALERT- RESTROOMS ARE CLOSED!!! No more stopover to refuel at Kettleman City for me, as the restrooms at this station has been temporarily closed for about a year and the gas prices are higher than most places along Interstate 5. this is the worst gas station on this side of the 5 has more the 1 bathroom but they only let you use one so multiple people are waiting they are never open the people are always rude the bathrroms that they do have open are absoulty disgusting shit on the tolet seat and in the urinals really need to hire some good workers very disappointed by the lack of care provided when asked about the other restrooms as well never coming here again they should get no stars but its not letting me read more

Use your Von's or Safeway card # to get discounts on gas. I got 20 cents per gallon off! This Chevron (I-5 @ Kettleman City exit), has been my goto gas spot on the way down to SoCal. Nothing too crazy about it, it's connect to a McDonalds and there are restrooms inside the convenience store and outside. It's right next to an In n Out as well but you have to drive around the back to get to it. read more

Oh my, this place is falling apart. We have stopped at this exit, at this Chevron, many times, but since more and more tour buses have stopped here the place has gone downhill. Where do I start? My husband was peeved. After finally being able to pull into a spot for a gas pump, he found it would not take his card. He managed to fight the crowd and get to another pump - just to find that it also would not take his card. He went inside where the cashier had to run his card. After getting gas, he parked in the back section, where he said some cars were parked diagonally while others parked straight in. That part of the lot is badly paved and is not marked for spots, so cars were everywhere. He was also annoyed since no one seemed to be courteous drivers in the parking lot - there were too many cars and people in the space so everyone was just trying to force themselves in or out. While he dealt with that fiasco, I took my son to the restroom. We headed to the outside facility and we were third in line. However, as we left I saw maybe 20+ women in line. The indoor restroom was no better. The restroom was also filthy, out of soap and one hand blow dryer looked like it died years ago. When we walked over to McDonald's, we found one door into Extra Mile with a handle half dangling off. After we loaded the car, we had a hard time getting out - again too many cars for the parking lot and the street. All of this was annoying enough for my husband to say we won't stop at Kettleman City again for a while. It was not a holiday weekend when we stopped, so if it is a holiday for you, I'd say highly reconsider stopping here. read more

The rest room was soooooo awful. There was was dirty water on the floor and 2 of the toilets were clogged. Really nasty experience. Avoid this place. read more

Eight bucks a gallon, it was under four in the mountains! Not only that they only had two bathroom stalls working for about 200 people, and of course no toilet paper or any kind of paper in the stalls. If they are charging double what gas costs they could at least provide something to wipe your ass with. Gas stations are supposed to be stocked for the customers you are sticking it to Chevron! read more

The only thing going for this place is the location. And that is being generous considering temps when we passed through were 100+. The friendliness of the staff is severely lacking; they keep the restrooms well stocked but they don't bother to clean or tidy up when doing so--and their gas prices are super high. If this joint wasn't located right off the freeway, and the fact that the shell across the street always has a major fly problem (you're guaranteed to pick up 2-4 when you leave), I would not fuel up here. read more

Bathrooms have PERMANENT signs on them saying they are "temporarily closed". They have been that way for close to a year now, maybe more. Complete disregard for their customers. Poor ingress and egress from the area, too. Don't bother, choose another location to get gas, etc. Any place right on a highway that sells gas should have usable restrooms for their customers. Really, really poor service. read more

If i don't stray off the beaten path, I can make it to San Diego on 2 tanks of gas. This is normally my pitstop (translation: pee pee release station). The bathrooms are (excuse my Norcal slang) hella dirty, but I'm not stopping anywhere else to use it. I wanna get down to SD as soon as possible to order my carne asada fries with guacamole, sour cream, and salsa! Or, rolled tacos! Or, chicken torta! Damn, who am I kidding, all of the above! This Chevron also has a siamese twin in the form of a McDonalds. Which oddly enough, is the norm on the 5 freeway. Who would've thought that McDonalds and Chevron would be in coercion. Next thing you know, I'll be getting a free McRib with the purchase of 8 gallons. Anyway, this station has all the necessary long-drive snacks you could think of. However, I didn't see the cheddar cheese Combos with the crackers and not pretzels. Boo! The lies! I guess a slim jim will suffice for another 4-5 hours. read more

***Located right off the 5 freeway on the drive between LA and SF, gas prices are incredibly high here like all of the stations located along this stretch of freeway; this gas station is also a greater distance away from the freeway than what you would experience at most exits so it is a tad less convenient*** Several free parking spaces are available if you just need to pick up a snack or drink. read more

First off, I can't believe I'm reviewing a gas station!!! Secondly, it's not even for the gas station, it's for their bathrooms!! You know how you dread going to the bathroom on road trips? Well this was no different. We pull up to the Chevron/McDonald's combo and I immediately B line for the restrooms inside. I get to the women's bathroom door, sign says "closed for maintenance, use restrooms outside." A feeling of sadness overcomes me as I walk outside in the 110 degree heat. As I open to the door, a feeling of relief and joy hit me as I feel the air conditioning and there is a LACK OF a "bathroom aroma"!!! I didn't actually count, but I think there were more than 10 stalls! So many options to choose from!!! Mind, you not all the stalls were clean. I try to look on the ground before I open the door. The one I passed up had lots of stuff on the ground. The one next to it didn't, so I opened the door and was happy to see it was "icky free"!! Only slight negative, is they only have hand dryers. Although as long as the dryers work, it's better than paper towels running out and/or littering the earth! Happy peeing everyone! :D read more

It's a bathroom stop in the middle of a nowhere town. What do you expect? The bathrooms are shared by McDonald's and the Chevron so it was reasonably clean for the constant use. I did find it strange that there were only three stalls as it's the first stop heading north for thirty minutes. The mini-mart has healthy-ish options. The line to buy it was long, but again, it's the only stop for a while. read more
