Pumped $125 worth of diesel at this Kettleman City location on a road trip. My truck died 70 miles down the road. Repair shop documented there was gasoline mixed in the diesel. $4000 in repairs. Nobody answers the phone or responds to their email at this location. I worked through Valero corporate and got documentation that I pumped from the diesel pump. I submitted a claim to the store's 7-11/Valero insurance and was denied despite the documentation. Stay away from this location. read more

The gas prices here aren't very good in general, being $0.20 to $0.30 more per gallon than averagely-priced gas stations. For the immediate area, this gas station has the best price. HOWEVER, there is a rather large amount of ghetto-ish customers here, and the facilities need to be seriously cleaned. The area near the pump smelled like animal waste and vomit. Surprisingly, the restroom smelled slightly better, but trust me, that's not saying much. I gladly dealt with these problems so I could save money on gas. read more

Great last stop prior to your excursion through the hills to the each area or somewhere else. Fuel is reasonably priced and snacks a must , if in the event you didn't pack any. Restrooms are clean and comfortable. Can be a bit HOT in this area, but this is truly your last stop for fuel, drinks, snacks the the little peope but overall great stop for fuel. It is on the end of the main street,Hubert Way, in Kettleman City, all the gas station I passed were $4.09 (87), and this place is $3.29 (as of 8/3/18). When driving between the Bay Area and LA, I always aim to stop at Kettleman City because it's a good halfway point. (Also, there's In-N-Out and Starbucks lol.) This Valero is at the end of the strip of gas stations and restaurants and the GAS IS SO MUCH CHEAPER! It was at least $.80 cheaper than all of the other gas stations. The women's restroom was also clean. Yay! Other things: The attendant inside called me "ma'am" on both of my trips, which threw me off at first! Hands-down the cheapest gas station in Kettleman City, currently running at a whole dollar less than the Chevron, Mobil, 76, and Shell (or whatever gas stations you pass on the way in)! It's the farthest down the road and not very well advertised, so it's basically a diamond in the rough. I'm not sure if you can put a gas station in that category, but the prices are sure to please your bank account. Don't get me wrong, it's kind of a sketchy area. No trimmed hedges or flower planters. My truck gets 379 miles on a full tank and after filling up here my truck burned through the gas at 177 miles!!!!! I had left the Bay Area and when I got here I still had a quarter tank of gas before I refueled. I just refilled again, and it was on empty. If it happens again and something is going on with the truck I will remove this. But the truck is a 2018 and has no problems that I know of yet. I don't understand what could be wrong with the gas but that is shocking. read more

This is my usual stop off the I-5 on my drive to and from LA to SF. I always hit up this gas station as they have the lowest prices of the other ones on this exit. The bathrooms are ok, the squeegees could be newer with soapier water and the convenience store is rather smallish but all I usually grab is a water or redbull at the most on my way down the street and hit up the In-N-Out. read more

This gas station is located nearly in the middle of the SF Bay Area--so great place to split your trip in two. I always stop here to gas up because it is the cheapest gas. Bathrooms are clean...they even have showers (maybe for the truckers?). Overall you save 20 cents at least PER gallon of gas just by driving one short city block further. Can't beat it! read more
