Bathrooms very clean on a Sunday . Store organized and service was good. Good pit stop on a roadtrip.

Pumps are bad, 10 min for 1.8 gallons of gas. Slowest pump I don't think I even got gas from it.

We stopped to get water and snacks at 6:50 pm. Our 9 year old daughter needed to use the restroom. The staff person had the restroom blocked off and said they were closing in 10 minutes and our daughter could not use the restroom. But they were still accepting money if you bought something. We were planning to buy stuff and get gas just in case, but refuse to patronize a location that would not allow a 9 year old to use their restroom. We go to the coast a lot and normally stop in Kettleman City but wanted to give them a chance considering the detours. Well NEVER again will I consider stopping here. I hope this goes viral and people go elsewhere. read more

You run the touchless bathroom sink water by ptessing your knee to the control lever inder the sink. Rich local ice cream. We enjoyed mint chip and the coffe flavor. I have been traveling non stop for the weeks and out of all the truck stops I have been to this is the most cleanest organized store I have ever seen. The restrooms last night when I came through was so nice I was surprised especially how busy they were. They had a guy named Alberto that literally hit the walls in the restroom when the men were in there making it smell so good. When I went to the register they greeted me and was so friendly I just have never seen this kind of service at a truck stop before. Thank you to whoever is running this store and making the staff stay friendly and the restrooms clean. I guarantee I will be stopping back here again. read more

To my happy surprise they have zero sugar Pepsi cherry! My fave! ;) Bought that and they have my fave gum too so I got that also. They have a bunch of other snacks and goodies as well! This gas station/mini mart is in the middle of nowhere. That nowhere is on the stretch of Highway 33. Ok... it's not nowhere... it's someones somewhere. It was briefly my somewhere. Thank goodness it exists. Sure it's not a tourist trap destination, it's just a basic decent gas station/mini mart. They have petrol for your car and snacks and drinks for you. Restrooms. But currently the women's restrooms were out of order and they had porta toilets and porta wash sink outside in the parking Iot. The outside is not much to look at with its red deco wrought iron window coverings and clapboard style structure. However, the inside is in stark contrast to the outside. There is a big ole colorful mural on the back wall. Giving the place a cheery brightness. It is pretty darn clean interior shop. They have a big ole cold case for the entire back wall filled with cold drinks... sodas, beers, energy drinks, milk, etc.... plus lots of snacks, fountain drinks, hot coffee, and gift shoppy stuff. The petrol pricing was comparable to the other area stations. I dropped in during daylight a bit after high noon on a weekend. I had no issues. The staff was helpful. CHP has a presence along Highway 33. To let you know, the real reason I popped on in was the big ole sign advertising Krispy Krunchy Chicken. They are virtually non existent in Sactown. What is KKC? Well it's pre marinated, flavor injected fried chicken Louisiana style fried in zero trans fat oil. It's sold in convenience store franchises. The KKC counter is towards the left side. I bought a couple of wings, running about $1.80 each. In typical KKC counter style, the chicken is pre made sitting in warmer display cases. I was told it was less than 20 minutes since the last batch. They looked ok, I went for it. I know ... it's not health food and from a gas station warm case. Risky?!? Hey, I survived. I'm writing this review nearly a week later. To boot, the wings were yummy. The coating was krispy crackly but not hard. Spiced Louisiana style... flavorful but not hot spicy. Moist chicken meat. We always stop at the gas station on our way to Morro Bay. It's always very clean and well organized . Bathrooms large & clean. very friendly staff. For guys who like pretty girls, they are beautiful cashiers as well as intelligent. A good perk is that you can buy some Native American style jewelry and native print jackets and robes here. Worst place to possibly stop at. They are not 24 hours and they are closed longer than 30 minutes at a time. The worker doesn't even acknowledge anyone and just ignores anyone trying to get her attention. The low rating is for the ridiculous amount of money it cost to pump your car with gas. You should just go down some more from here and find other cheaper gas locations or if you are in desperate need of gas, just fill up a bit to get you to another station further down. Other than that, it's a nice place to stop to use the restroom since they are very clean and there are plenty of stalls in the women's restroom. The store is filled with the typical food and drinks that you would find by a gas station, but they did have a restaurant that specializes in fried chicken. Didn't feel like grabbing some with my family though. read more

Location location location. In case you're wondering what this place has going for it that would be the top three things. This place is 100% perfectly located in the trisection of nowhere. If you stop here you are either going to the coast and forgot to get gas somewhere else cheaper, or are going home to the Central Valley and forgot to get gas from whence you left. Now having said that I think that the managers of this location have really missed the mark, because the gas prices are so outrageous that people in the valley or on the coast make sure that they fill up so that they do not have to stop here. That is unfortunate because they do have a lot of products and even a grill to cook some food. They have some interesting Indian type jewelry, clothing, and artifacts if you will that some might find intriguing. They could bring down the gas prices to the point to where they break even or even cause themselves a minimal loss and still make an amazing amount of money on other products or their grill. However I am not a businessman so I could be way off it's just the feeling I get when you see very few cars there and a ton of people going back and forth through this area. It's an oasis. They have food, clean bathrooms and drinks. Do not fuel up unless you have less than a quarter of a tank. There is open space in all directions, or as I like to say there is plenty of space for growth and prime property is available. I used to say every body stops here because it was at a 4 way stop, but progress has converted that to a signal, so, not everyone stops. this is a first!! i walked towards the ladies bathroom and i smelled bleach... such a nice clean odor from a gas station restroom. as i step in i see an employee spraying and wiping down the stall walls!!! this was the cleanest public bathroom i have ever used! i just wanted to give this location two thumbs up. next we paid for gas, as we walked back for our change, they knew who we were had a receipt and our change ready,the manager was the cashier and had a pleasant smile finally we grabbed a coffee, again 5 stars yummmmm thank you for caring about your business and customers it definitely shows. read more

UGH took 5 mins just at the pump after putting your phone number in to get your rewards than using your debt card than putting your pin in all took a lot of time after all that I never did get my .20 cents off worse part is I can't redeem my rewards off is have call Vons which is time consuming. On top of that I had go inside to get my receipt... and forget using the Dog Run there's dog poop everywhere. They don't supply bags or a garbage can. And the gate doesn't close. I let my dog go pee real quick than left, I do not want my dogs getting sick. I watched 2 little kids take there dog inside than walked out let there dog go pee outside the dog run which I don't blame the parents who wants there kids stepping on dog poop- It's to bad cause it's a nice place. Stopped here on the way to Oceano dunes. Gas prices are fair for being in the middle of no where. Easy pull up to the pumps with a toy hauler. No tight turns. Large store with all the road munchies you'll need. Buy the fried chicken, stay for the fried chicken, Did I mention the fried chicken!!! Thursday March 2nd my sister & I were taking my daughter back home to Los Alamos, CA, we stopped at the trading post to stretch & use the bathroom. My daughter sitting in the back seat was rearranging the bags in the back of the car, she took our 2 canes out to fix some of the bags & set them aside. Then shut the back & got into the car, well we drove off & forgot our 2 canes. So on March 3rd on our way back to Fresno we stopped at the trading post hoping that someone had turned them in. Well low & behold the boy at the register remembered us & had taken the 2 canes & put them away in case we stopped back by. The employees in that store are so honest & caring. My sister & I are 74 & 75 years old and need our canes. I can't praise the boy enough for being so kind & honest. I will stop back by there in July on my way to Santa Maria so that we can thank that boy again. read more
