Rudest employee i have ever encountered at a service station, & I travel by car often! This gas station corners the market in Gualala by being open 2 hours earlier than the next door compcompetitor, & the next nearest gas is 20 miles away. I bought gas, & she was still belligerent about the restroom key. She wasn't clear on the fact women must use the men's restroom. When I tried using the key on the unmarked door next to the men's bathroom & it didn't open, I was confused, then used the men's room. She berated me for not using the facility properly. Hello, have you heard of SIGNS? Unbelievable. If there is a Rude Employee Awatd, she deserves it! read more

There is a woman working in this gas that should NOT be working in the general public. I believe her name is Veronica. She lacks courtesy, manners, and the ability to bag items, apparently. She failed to greet me, looked down the whole time, had a sour look on her face and was unable to interact with me properly. It's clear she is dissatisfied with her job- I can't think of any other reason she would be so incompetent and rude. She was the WORST attendant I've ever encountered. Ever. If you are unable to smile, be kind and say hello, why are you in working with the public? It was too much work for her to bag my items, even though she works at a gas station. I asked her for a bag and she had the AUDACITY to throw it at me. This person is the most unprofessional, rude, and unfit person for the job I've ever seen at a Chevron. Usually people in Gualala are pleasant but this woman is a walking negative experience. Chevron needs to reprimand her and teach her how to be polite to customers. Or maybe fire her, and employ someone that has the ability to be pleasant and doesn't throw bags at customers. This person should be ashamed of herself. read more

Exquisitely bad service. Belligerent, far worse than an automated, card accessed kiosk type fueling station. Horrible reflection on the town of Gualala, and a real black eye for Chevron. Do yourself a favor, stop at the ARCO station, or just keep driving. read more

I just joined Yelp so I could writ this - I cannot express my gratitude to the young man (I believe his name was Gregory or something similar) who was working the morning of 7/15). I had an unbelievably frustrating experience of getting locked out of my car, and he could not have been more courteous or helpful. He allowed me to use his phone multiple times, gave me suggestions of where I might go to get a battery for my key fob, installed that battery for me, and then when that didn't work, he called someone he knew in town with a similar car and asked them to bring the owners' manual for my car for more troubleshooting. He was seriously the most helpful, kind, and problem-solving person I've ever encountered, and I'm terribly grateful for his fantastic attitude and graciousness. read more

On a recent visit, we happened to run into the Chevron Station and we were truly appalled by the rude treatment by the Chevron "lady".....and I use the term loosely. We had just arrived to our destination in the town of Gualala and we were walking the dog around and my son really had to use a restroom. I spoke to this clerk from outside the doorway and asked could we please have the key for the restroom....she then squawked at me "You have to make a purchase here if you want to use the restroom"....I was willing to follow her demands in the name of my son's urgency....I barely lifted my foot to attempt to cross her threshold...and she yelled out "YOU CAN'T BRING A DOG IN HERE!!!!" I then said well I can't make a purchase if I can't get in the store....she said "not my problem"....had she given me the opportunity to figure things out, I would have sent my son in to buy something first....we left and also did not fill up our empty 18 or so gallon car before leaving for home....very poor customer skills, and as you can see from a previous post it is not the first time there has been this issue...I truly wonder what her problem is and why she has not been let go...hopefully she is not the owner! Chevron needs to check out what is going on at this location..... read more

If I could give this place a zero I would. We drove and my wife needed to use the bathroom. The lady gave her the key and then said she had to buy something. Well then it turns out there is a 5 dollar minimum to buy with a credit card. All this after my wife used the bathroom. Never have I heard of a more rude lady working at a gas station. Get a life lady. read more

My wife needed to wash her hands after using the moldy water windshield washer at this location. She walked in to use the bathroom just to wash her hands. The lady, and I use this lightly, was very very rude. I am really not sure how she keeps her job with the attitude she has. From the reviews, it appears to be a trend. If you can, just go to the 76 Station right next door and get your gas, snacks, and anything else. read more

DON"T BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE! This past July 4th weekend my family spent the weekend for some fun in the sun. My parents who also made the trip up car broke down after FILLING up their tank at this Chevron. After spending several minutes trying to get the car started the attendant rudely demanded that they move their car because it was effecting business, and told them she was calling the owner to come down. When my mother told her the car is not starting and they're trying to get help, AAA/Mechanic, she said that's not my problem. One thing the town of Gualala is not short on is strangers willing to help, after about 20 minutes a mechanic that was passing through was able to get my parents car started. Around the time everyone was exchanging thank you's the owner showed up, not see if everything is okay, but instead walked over aggressively and stated " WHATS THE PROBLEM"! We let him know that we just got the car started and he gestured like he was shooing something away and said" Get off my property". In short I highly recommend using the 76 right next door because clearly this whole operation has a hostile attitude towards people whether they are paying customers or not. read more

I would rather push the car all the way home than patronize this business! On July 6th, an older couple in our group broke down at one of the pumps. They literally drove across the street from the hotel, filled up their tank, and the car would not restart, i was going to push the car away from the pump, but was unable to get it into gear. Several wonderful people, who also purchased gas there, gave us assistance. The attendant (red headed older female) was condescending and seem to take pleasure in being useless.The owner, who showed up, right after the car was fixed was just a blatant jerk. That's the PG version to describe his behavior and remarks. The started solenoid had went out. At no time were we loitering and he suffered no loss of business. In now way do i want this to shed a bad light on the people or town. I just want to warn fellow travelers about this fellow and his employee. May his doors close swiftly. read more
