The 76 Station in Bodega Bay was my go-to place to stop and fuel up when adventuring further north on Highway 1 in the 2016 to 2019 time frame. I lived in the East Bay area and depending on whether I fueled up before heading out, I stopped here heading north or on my return heading south. The station is easy to spot from the main road, there was enough space to form a line if the pumping stalls were full, and there was space to park if just stopping for snacks. This is the only gas station in the area. I do understand the price of the gasoline price is very high due to the delivery cost. The gas station is very busy on the weekend when Bodega Bay has hundreds or thousands of visitors. Sometimes you will found out you're in the wrong direction of the gas pump because the vehicles can come in in both directions and the distance between the gas pumps is very close to each other! The convenience store in the gas station is not very big and one of the problems is the restroom is right next to the cashier counter. Customers who waiting for the restroom are mixed with the customers who are waiting for the cashier some time! read more

Wow, this 76 Station is the definition of highway robbery. We had lunch at Bodega Bay, and we needed gasoline before continuing our trip north up Hwy 1. My brother n'law stopped for gas here. They were at least a dollar per gallon more expensive than all the other gas stations we passed earlier that day. Shame on us for not filling up earlier!! Wow! Talk about greed, this Gas station jacks up prices 300% percent during times there is something going on in Bodega bay. So basically all out of town peeps can expect crappy service at high prices and a laugh as you walk out of the station. Recently, we attended the Bodega Bay clam chowder festival (a lovely event and great for the entire town) you would think the increased business would please the owners.... but No! Instead they (he/she/don't know) tripled prices on everything. My husband ran in to buy a can of Copenhagen and was charged about $12.50! My husband asked the man at register if this was the chowder festival rate and he laughed at him. Possibly a good short term strategy to make money but not a good long term strategy as we will never go back there and I hope others will be aware of this gouging! read more

I pulled in to the gas station this morning because the air in one of my tires was extremely low. John was very kind and tested the pressure in all four tires, filled up my tire to the recommended pressure and then showed me where the slow leak was coming from (a nail). might be the only clean flushable restroom in Bodega Bay(other than fancy restaurants and inns). My wife and I were expecting a long line, but nope, and the restrooms are clean. there's a sign saying for paying customers only, but they are not locked so we end up buying some stuff from the store. Yes the gas is more expensive than SF by about 50 cents, but what do you expect...? read more

The gas station is really the only formidable gas station in town. It's often very busy, jammed with people and cars. Staff does a great job processing orders to get people on their way. Not only do they provide a clean safe spot for gas but their restroom are very clean. There is often a line and there is a nice selection of maps for you to plot your course for the day. My partner appreciated the free, clean windshield washing fluid and workable squeegee. He noticed right away and this little feature made him happy. The convenience store has a nice variety of foods. There was the basics of fast food dining along with specialty items for the gluten free. This was a very nice find. read more

Guy that works here Pavain? Is a rude prick. Came in, bought something and he was extremely rude for no reason. Guy is very unpleasant and has a real attitude problem. Avoid at all costs. Never seen an establishment that treats a customer paying for their items like crap. read more

Got $75 worth of gas. Went in to get receipt. Young clerk looked at me and I said "pump number 6. She said "what about it?. I advised her that the pump said to get receipt inside. Her response , "I can't read your mind".. Wonderful customer relationship. read more

FYI - Station is still completely closed now, no store or propane sales....getting ready to repave everything. They are installing all new pumps and adding diesel fuel (Yahoo!). The store and propane sales will resume June 23 (Saturday) and the entire operation should be open on or about June 29-30. read more

Great station. Clean bathrooms, friendly gentleman greeted us. He apologized for gas pumping slow. Very nice. If anyone tells you no gas in Bodega Bay call him. He's got it!! Must be some sort of joke locals are playing. Not cool. I recommend this station. read more

Not friendly in the least. Charging an insane amount because they can. Try to avoid filling up in Bodega.

Warning! Do not use the air to inflate your tires at this gas station! It doesn't work properly. You will end up with less tire pressure than you started out with. Started with 26 psi and only needed 28 psi, took it down to 10 psi! It took 4 coins, gas station attendant, a helpful customer and myself to get the tire pressure up to 20 psi! This is the only place in town to inflate tires. I ended up having to call a tow truck, to fully inflate my tires to 28 psi, so I could make my 3 hour drive home. On the plus side, the place was clean and the guy working was trying his best to be helpful. But, when something is broken there isn't much anyone can do. You have been warned! read more

This gas station is currently closed while they are installing diesel pumps. The addition of diesel is good, but this means there is NO GAS available ANYWHERE in Bodega Bay until at least mid-June. Please fill up before coming to the coast, and call ahead to check availability. There has been no publicity on this, and may people find themselves stranded. read more

Went camping in Bodega Bay. Stopped at 76 to buy a few things. When I went to pay for my items the older man behind counter was very RUDE!!!!!!!!! Would not recommend going there. read more
